Born out of our frustration with Big Box Stores and lumberyards with a limited selection of deck products and virtually no knowledge of the products they sell, The Deck Store was founded in Indianapolis in 2006. We vowed to have the biggest selection of decking products around, plus help people understand why they should (or should not) use these products for their particular project. When you come in to The Deck Store, we will help you understand the differences between products, and help you decide which products best fit your need.

In 2006, frustrated with the lack of composite decking knowledge at lumberyards, The Deck Store opened for business! Consisting of the two founders and a driver/warehouse person, the business plan was finally realized! In the early days we could easily count the number of phone calls each day. By 2018, we had grown so much that we increased our warehouse space to over 7,000 square feet to better accommodate our growing volume. In 2019 we updated our showroom with a brand new entrance counter, expanded work areas, and the addition of sleek new slat wall displays.
Just because you don't build decks for a living doesn't mean you can't build or re-surface your deck. We want to be your partner in the project! We have the largest selection of decking products in Indy! Come in and touch and feel the products. With more than 100 colors of decking on display, you'll find the perfect color for your project.
Professional contractors are the lifeblood of the Deck Store. We do not do any installation work, but that is how we got into this business, so we speak the language. We understand what it means to have a partner that has what you need, when you need it. We have a great showroom that shows all of the latest composite decking, railings, lighting, etc.
We have a HUGE variety of decking products available! Come in and see and touch them all, and you can even take home free samples so you can make sure you get the perfect product!. Decking is often the most important visual aspect of a deck. There are many ways it can be installed, and several ways it can be attached. Bring in your plan or a sketch, and we can help with layout suggestions and materials lists.

Excellent experience working with Jill and extended team at The Deck Store from start to finish. Their well-organized showroom and product advice makes selecting materials easy. They provide fast and accurate quotes and were great at accommodating a specialized request. The material arrived faster than expected and final deck turned out great!

Do not do business with this company. We have had the absolute worst experience ever. Spent 30k, took half the money 3 months ago. A month ago said they needed the balance to schedule delivery. Fast forward to now. They have no idea where our product is, or even if it's been made. We have contractors on a 100k job waiting for the product. Do not do business with this SCAM company. Callling the Attorney General tomorrow.

We hired The Deck Store to install eze breeze vinyl windows on our porch. We like to support small, family owned businesses and understood this company was just that. I have to say, however, that our experience was not what I would have expected from a local small business. The communication was very poor. We rarely received a prompt reply from our calls and sometimes no response at all.
Our windows were installed upside down which did very little to give us confidence in the knowledge of their employees although the problem was rectified. Appointments were postponed and even ignored. I realize that some of the follow up work took place during the pandemic but a simple phone call explaining any delays would have been appreciated. Disappointing.
