The people at Phillips Manufacturing Co. are some of the nicest and most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of working with, not to mention that they carry some fantastic products at more than fair prices, all proudly made on site right here in Omaha Nebraska!

The pay and benefits are very good, they invest in technology, but chances for advancement are very limited. Very little is expected of most middle management. Even if you're able to prove yourself valuable and worthy of promotion, you will be held back as long as possible. I'm living proof, I had to leave after 13 years to move forward. It's a shame, because this company could be so much more if they would get rid of their weak middle managers and focus more on the people that actually get work done to help them be profitable. I learned a lot, but wasn't allowed to advance.

*Disclaimer* This review is solely about employment at Phillips not their products. I will breakdown some aspects of employment at Phillips including but not limited to; pay, policies, health coverage. 1.) Pay A.) Lets start off by saying their pay is okay. I have started off at lower pay at most employers. But when you start new employees at a certain rate then turn around and only bump your employees to that pay and except them to train the new employees who make the same as them.

It puts a sour taste in your employees mouth. 2.) Policies A.) They're rolling out new polices that benefit the company only. Any corner they feel they can cut to save a dollar or two they're taking. B.) They have a point system. So let's say you needed a day off but you have no PTO. Before if you let them know days in advanced that you needed said day off, you wouldn't get a point.

Well now it doesn't matter. But the company wants you to let them know still even tho you're still getting pointed. There is no point in letting them know days in advanced. 3.) Management/HR A.) Lets start off by saying that HR does not care about its employees nor does upper management. HR has rolled out new policies without any notice and within said hand book it states that they have to give notice of any changes of policies.

They handed employees the new handbook/new policies on no notice and said if you don't sign this, you're fired. B.) Speaking out. If you speak out to them about any issues you have with them. They will make your life miserable and let it be known that they could careless what you have to say. Even tho they want you to "give suggestions". Rockstar A.) They have a program called rockstar.

They offer you $25 for meeting certain production goals. Unfortunately, they're extremely uncoordinated with giving out the employees gift card. If you rockstar on Tuesday, they'll hand you the gift card that Friday or the week after. 4.) Benefits A.) Benefits are definitely affordable. There is a reason places like Phillips have a high turnover rate and they could careless.

They just want bodies on their machines. I have outlined everything I personally felt were necessary to say out loud. If I had to give this employee a rating. I would say they're a 1.5 outta 5.
