Premier Fence

I echo what others have said. This company has plenty of resources to install fences and then when they break they have inadequate resources to fix them. Beware that other fence companies will not repair work done by other fence companies. So if you need repairs done on the fence installed by them you will need to find some random person to do it that doesn't specialize in fencing.

Our fence started to get uneven so we contacted the company to see what they could do to fix it. They asked us to send few photos and promised one of the representatives would contact us and come out to take a look. Everyone just disappeared. We tried calling and emailing.nothing. Like they went out of business. They only cared when it was time to receive the payment.

Once you pay, forget about their existence. Terrible business, no professionalism, no accountability. Would never use them again and would never recommend them to any of our families and friends.

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Premier Fence. They installed a wood fence for us about 5 years ago, and at the time we were very happy with the product and service. Unfortunately though, our fence now strongly leans into our neighbor's yard. We contacted Premier Fence to see what they could do to fix it. They gave us an estimate to re-set the posts that was so expensive it was nearly what we paid for the whole fence originally!

I responded with a few simple questions: why did the fence start leaning, why does it cost so much to fix, and is there anything we can do differently this time to make sure it doesn't happen again? No one mentioned anything about this happening at the time of the original installation. I have been waiting for a response now for nearly two months.

I have tried phone calls and emails, and still no answers to my questions. When I do reach someone by phone they tell me they will have someone get back to me, then I get an email about a week later with no answers. The last email I received said they were going to have their construction manager come out and look at it. That was nearly two months ago, and I still haven't heard anything.

My follow up email went unanswered. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and response from this company. I thought they would want to stand by their product and installation - their name is on our fence, but they seem completely disinterested in helping us fix the fence. Guess we will be looking for another fence company moving forward. I suggest you do the same.

After getting several bids from multiple other companies, we decided to go with Premier to put up a privacy fence in our backyard and a picket fence in the front. Premier came in several hundred dollars below the other bids which was an important factor for us. Chris B. was our sales rep and was very helpful and friendly. We are very happy with our finished product and are glad we chose Premier.

The only suggestion I would have is to keep the customers in the loop if there are delays in project timelines. Our project was estimated to begin at 5-7 weeks from when we signed the contract but took about 11 weeks due to some bad weather. Overall this wasn't a big deal since we were previously informed that weather plays a huge role in the timeline given. I definitely recommend this company to anyone in the Twin Cities looking to build a fence. Thanks again Premier!

When choosing the company we wanted to install our fence, quality, workmanship and competitive pricing were priorities. Premier Fence met all of our expectations. Bert gave us great information regarding the type of fencing that would best meet out needs. The team kept the area around our pool clean, they removed all of our old fencing and debris, worked efficiently and one of the guys even came back the next day and worked late into the evening to complete the job. Our fence is beautiful and we couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to install a new fence.

Premier Fence installs the best cedar product in the metro. I've done my research and narrowed it down to a couple companies. We choose Premier and glad we did. Their coordinator Diane was excellent with communication and scheduling. When they came to install I met their foreman Frank. He was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Couldn't be happier with the result.

I had a fence installed last year by Premier Fence. The fence looks great and seems very solid. I would warn others, however, that the company seems unfamiliar with Minneapolis city code regarding fences. A city inspector contacted me because the fence blocked the view of cars in the alley of pedestrians on the sidewalk. It's a short fence, so I hadn't thought it was an issue.

To fix it, I needed to remove every other slat in the fence in the section near the alley/sidewalk intersection. I had a relatively short amount of time to fix the fence before the city was going to fine me. I emailed Premier about the issue and informed them of the deadline - I was assured that they would come out and check. However, they did not come until after the deadline given to me by the city.

When they came, they said the fence was fine because it didn't block the view of the road - but didn't seem to understand that the city's concern was that the fence blocked the view of the sidewalk. Because they didn't come and fix the fence, I had to saw out every other slat myself from a section of the fence. It looks ok, but it certainly doesn't look as good as if it had been done by a professional (or if it had been like that originally).

It was concerning that Premier says the fence doesn't violate the code when the city says it does. So, I'd say Premier does good work, but be cautious if you live in Minneapolis, because they seem unfamiliar with city code.

Premier installed my wood privacy fence over 20 years ago. I just had the back section replaced and once again, they did beautiful work. Bert was great to work with and the foreman kept me informed of when they would arrive and what work they would get done that day. I am going to use this company to replace the rest of my fence and would highly recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience with Premier Fence from start to finish. Our sales rep Bert was extremely knowledgeable and kept us informed of the progress along the way. The foreman and his team arrived on time and worked through the weekend to finish our project. We are left with a beauitful Simtek fence and it was a pleasure working with Premier. Would definitely recommend this company!

My experience with Premier Fence was not good at all. The sales rep was arrogant and wrote incorrect specs for the fence. The posts had to be reset and as a result the fence was not completed before winter. What should have been a simple French Gothic decorative fence became a big headache. I would not recommend this company.

I scheduled 5 estimates for a cedar privacy fence and Premier wasbthe second to lowest price (didn't go with the lowest because the company didn't seem that reliable). We are very happy with our fence. It was scheduled and was complete just outside of the original time frame due to rain. Workers were nice and even showed up a day earlier than scheduled to do the posts and cementing, which was nice!
