Bowman Construction Supply was formed in 1969 by Tom Bowman Sr. and his family. In its beginnings, it focused on supplying transportation projects with bridge bearing pads and expansion joints. It was a market that saw immediate growth because of Bowman having a keen sense of the technical aspects of bridge design as well as the ability to supply products with extensive lead times on time.
Quick Supply Company opens Mason City, IA location to service northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. Acquisition of ASP Enterprises (founded 1976) in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri and Omaha, Nebraska. Acquisition of Bowman Construction Supply (founded 1969) in Denver and Longmont, Colorado. Acquisition of Southern Indiana Rock Drilling, Inc. (founded in 1995) in Underwood, Indiana.
