The Kitzman family has been in the lumber and building supply business for almost 40 years. Dick Kitzman founded the company in 1979 as a small-town hardware store. Dick's son Steve started working at a very young age helping his family out in the store. After his college career, Steve joined the business full time, along with is sister and brother.Because of their combined talents and efforts, the family grew the hardware store into a full line lumber yard and building supply business. In 1996 Dick opened a showroom in Dixon, IL where Steve, Vice President at the time, became the manager.
