Contractors and DIYers need a knowledgeable sales staff in the lumber and building material industry and you'll find them at MRD. One-of-a-kind challenges and unique works-of-art are easily transformed from dream to reality in the Millshop at MRD. Call our sales team today for more information or request a quote for your next custom build.
They say it's the heart of the home and we agree. Our Kitchen Design Center was launched in 2011 for the sole purpose of bringing kitchen design services to our contractors, their clients and the DIY homeowners in our region. We also offer a full range of bathroom cabinetry. Please visit our Completed Projects page to get ideas for your project!
MRD carries the major brands of exterior entry doors, patio doors and windows that you know and trust for quality - such as Andersen, Therma-Tru, Simpson, Viwinco and more. In the age of big box stores, MRD stands out because of their ability to specialize in what they do and deliver high quality materials and expertise. I have found that it is much more satisfying to work with local, family-owned businesses like MRD because it's a one-stop shop for products and advice. The folks at MRD are highly knowledgable, friendly, and eager to help, which is refreshing compared to some larger stores; I have seen them go the extra mile for the public and their own employees, which is important to me when I am choosing what companies to support with my dollar.
They've helped me with several DIY projects, including choosing and cutting lumber, which is so helpful because I was in an apartment at the time. Now that I have more space, I will be returning to them again as I take on more, bigger personal building projects.

Although everyone was nice, they are very disorganized. I know they are very busy due to COVID, but that's no excuse. I placed an order for almost $3,000 worth of Trex and when it was delivered, the color-match screws were missing -- and this was after I specifically told them we needed the screws to start the job AND we pushed back the delivery date by a day to ensure they would be on the truck.
And then I got different answers from different employees about where they were and why they didn't deliver them. After they found them, they had the audacity to suggest I come and get them myself. Ridiculous.

This place is very expensive compared to other places for lumber. I only bought 9 pressure treated 2x4s of various lengths (100 ft total) and paid $22 more than I would have at Lowe's for the same lumber. That's an extra 22 cents per foot. Im going to Lowe's this weekend to get lumber for a new deck instead. The guy who helped me load was very nice though.
