Our products include fine, hand-built tables and bar tops, log fireplace mantels, and a full line of unique building materials that range from specialty lumbers, flooring and peeled logs to beams, siding and truss systems.
Southwest Trading Post handles a wide variety of specialty building materials custom cut by our own sawmill. We take hardwood logs, such as Mesquite, Pecan, Walnut, and Red Cedar and then resaw them into any dimension desired to make furniture and cabinet stock, countertops, etc. We also handle antique timbers, primarily cut from Fir and Oak in ban-saw, sandblasted and hand hewn textures.
Southwest Trading Post produces a wide variety of authentic log fireplace mantels, and has rapidly become the largest supplier in Central Texas. We constantly acquire large mesquite, pecan, hill country juniper, and red cedar logs to be cut on our sawmill in various shapes and sizes. Our cedar mantels have a rustic log-cabin feel to them, where our mesquite and pecan have an elegant rustic or rustic modern feel and go with most homes built in our area.Our hand scraped finish creates a beautiful texture that can warm up a modern space or compliment a traditional interior.

Dave and the crew are friendly, well informed and very patient. They spent close to 30 minutes while we looked over the rough timbers outside, and looked and looked. The gave good advice on what would work for the look we wanted. The price was fair and the mantle is the best I have ever seen. I highly recommend this business.

My wife and I built a home in Spicewood and used Southwest Trading Post to supply the mantel for our fireplace. Nice guys, helped with selection of mantel type and provided information on attaching to the wall. We wanted a specific color and style and they did a great Job, exactly what we wanted. We gave them a specific date we required the mantel and they had it done on time as requested. I would definitely use this company again, Great Job Thanks!

We had a custom piece built from mesquite and we couldn't be happier with the outcome and process. We had been searching for months before deciding to get exactly what we wanted built to our specifications. The price was a concern but it was very reasonable, ready within 2 weeks and exactly what we had envisioned. People that visit our house always compliment us on it and ask where it came from and we proudly tell them about Southwest. If you want a unique piece of furniture from flooring to tables or countertops, I highly recommend them.
