The staff here is extremely knowledgeable about wood or pellet stoves. We had can come to look at our new to us pellet stove. He did an excellent job meaning the flu all the way up to the chimney cap. Also showed us the ins-and-outs of how to clean and maintain the stove for ourselves. Stove is throwing much more heat after he was done. And just going to the store is quite the treat.

We have been buying Pellets from Robbins for years. Last delivery(September 2021). We ordered 4 tons, we opened the first ton and the smell of the bags were HORRIBLE. We called and spoke with them and gave us little options- just let them air out they said(smells like Animal urine- ammonia like). Well we let them air out as well as the 2nd ton and now on to our third ton.

You Can Not carry the bags close to your clothes as the smell penetrates your clothes. We keep our pellets in the garage and walk down a short hall through the kitchen to the pellet stove. It has been a very disappointing experience. The woman that are at the store are never pleasant- I gave that a pass. Kill them with kindness my motto. Well the pellets pushed both my husband and I over the edge. Never again will we do business with Robbins.

I got a few tons of pellets delivered to my home from Robbins Garden Center. When they were being unloaded the woman bringing them in on the pallet jack crushed the drain vents in front of my garage bay. The woman who crushed the vents said "whoops I guess we owe you some new ones" took pictures of the vents, got metal plates to cover the broken vents, finished the delivery, and told me to call Robbins to give them details on the replacement parts.

No big deal, accidents definitely happen, and the woman who delivered them was very apologetic about the whole thing. After calling Robbins multiple times and not receiving any calls back after being assured that someone would get in touch with me, I was finally able to get in contact with someone weeks later. The woman who answered told me (almost yelling) that there was nothing that they would do and weren't responsible.

I was confused as to why the woman delivering assured me that they would be replaced and then the woman on the phone said that they wouldnt. If that is their policy I understand at the end of the day, but what I couldn't wrap my head around was the rudeness from the woman on the phone. The second she answered the phone she was in an irate mood and was raising her voice at me.

It was very disheartening to be have someone almost yelling when she could have said what she needed to say without raising her voice. Maybe she was just having an off day but hopefully she does better in the future.

Terrible service experience. The owner was extremely rude and did not want to acknowledge any mistakes on their end. I will never give them my business again.

Family owned business and wanted to support them. But dealing with the women that at the counter and who answer the phone is a nightmare. Rude, arrogant, and argumentative. I will never do business with them again.

Ordered SCREENED loam. Delivers dirt and had to move the pile which was acceptable. But as we shovel it and move it the dirt is filled with a great many rocks. Not little ones which maybe the screening process might miss. Some of the rocks were 16 inches across and most were bigger than softballs. Some were broken pieces of tar! We moved half the pile and filled a loader bucket with the rocks.

I took a picture and complained to Robbins. I was told the delivery driver must have not emptied a previous load and that I got the mess. A poor excuse, and why should I have to now get rid of all those rocks.

Robbins garden has been around for a long time and is a trusted name. They are very diversified, from landscaping materials by the truckload, to pellets by the ton to keep you warm. They have a good variety of plants and veggies, as well as ornamental plants and outdoor furniture. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Easy to get to right off of rt 395 and rt 12 Oxford, Ma.

I have mixed reviews about this place. The service people are FANTASTIC. So friendly and helpful and always on time. My pellet stove was cleaned to perfection recently and was completed quicker than scheduled so I got a discount which was AMAZING. The customer service here, however, could be vastly improved. I dread calling every time knowing the rude and unpleasant voice that answers on the other end. We are paying customers, maybe don't sound annoyed when you are answering the phone.

Place is a joke and talk about being non professional. Long story short. DO NOT get their topsoil I got some delivered as I was planting new grass. After spreading it out evenly I noticed that it is full of rocks. They claim that it gets sifted but there is no way it should look like it does. I told em I wanted my money back as my yard is full of rocks now.

Lady working(I will be nice and not include her name) could not have been more arrogant and rude and told me they would not refund me at all. So now I will spread the work. They had a chance to make it right and they refused.

Great farm and garden center. Prices are higher than Home Depot, but the selection and service are great and the people are knowledgeable, cheerful and helpful - unlike the orange store.

Will never return again. Charged me $40 for 2 Coreopsis plants. and ALL of the flower stalks fell off the plant when I went to plant them. I've never had that happen before. They were on the back of a bottom shelve on a rack - but Robbins still managed to charge me $20 dollars for each plant. I returned the next day with the plants and showed them the branches FELL RIGHT OFF. they said they would not take them back "Because they were Perennials".

The second excuse they gave me was "they were healthy when they left the store". They were not healthy. The RUDE Manager just turned around and shut the office door on me. Robbins Garden Center makes a ton of money and when they sell someone defective plants, they should be fair to the customers. Instead they chose to be RUDE after selling defective plants. Will never return to this store- EVER! ******BUYER BEWARE****!

After being cooped up for 8 weeks with my daughter, I decided to take advantage of the nice weather today and go buy some plants and bring a little color to our bloomin yard. I was on my way to Home Depot assuming they were the only ones open and when I drove by I saw you guys were open so I turned around because I would much rather support a small business during this time then a large corporation that will do just fine after this pandemic. I was not disappointed. Everyone there was very kind and the selection was absolutely beautiful!

Dumped dirt in exactly the wrong area!?!? I decided to go with another company for the mulch because, as you can see in the picture, I clearly marked with the 5-gallon buckets and white 2 by 4 that I did NOT want the dirt to be placed back beyond it. The plot of land that I prepared by tedious removing the huge chunks of cement and asphalt, was everything before the bucket to the sidewalk.

So what did the driver do?! He moved the bucket and dumped all of it past it so I spent the entire afternoon and next morning shoveling it to where I had originally wanted it. I will buy bags of mulch instead of bulk because who knows where he'll dump it if I'm not standing right there. My advice is to buy your plants here but do NOT have them deliver dirt.

As you can see in my pictures I've planted many beautiful plants. Joanne is extremely helpful and knowledgable about her plants and what will look great and have the best chance at surviving in my every scenario I threw at her. (type of soil, amount of water, robust, tall and wide it will grow)

I'm a lover of nurseries and all things home & garden - especially around the Holidays, summertime, springtime, fall, you get the picture! I'm somewhat new to the area and visited Robbins Garden Center three times now, once per season for the last three years. I keep thinking it was just a bad day for the owners/workers but I'm more and more convinced that they're horrible business owners and don't value and appreciate their customers. I've overheard arguments amongst the staff, even when customers were clearly within earshot. I've been treated - and seen other customers treated - with disrespect and annoyance.

They just don't seem to care! I don't know if it was a family business for generations and the current generation is not appreciative of owning a business and just expects the reputation their parents/grandparents built to carry them through or not but they're just horrible! They certainly don't seem to appreciate their local gardeners and families that want a wholesome local Garden Center to shop with or just stop in on a whim. Felt very unwelcomed! Products and prices MEH!

First and foremost - I have been ordering pellets from Robbins for the last few seasons and up until this most recent transaction, I've had nothing but good things to say. That being said, I was called the day before my pellets were set to arrive and told that the brand I selected over a month ago were now out of stock. Not a big problem. But then I was informed that my options were to get a pellet with a lower BTU, and higher ash content for the same price I paid for a premium pellet.

And if I wanted to get to a comparable pellet as my original order without sacrificing heat and cleanliness of my machine, I would be charged $20 more for the more premium brand. A normal response from a business that realized they oversold/couldn't deliver on something you ordered a month ago would be to eat the $20 and upgrade you to the comparable brand pellet.

Why should I have to get a less premium brand for the same price I ordered a better pellet a month ago? I'll take my order elsewhere next season. There are plenty of businesses around doing the same thing.

Bought a pellet stove there. after two years there was a problem with the stove. Robbins sent a repairman out and fixed it. I also have bought many garden associated item. Always had good service. Never a problem.

Awful delivery service. I had 3 tons of pellets delivered to my house and they destroyed my lawn. When I confronted them about it they didn't care. They made it seem as if it was my fault. They did not want to work with me, they were not apologetic and was just as happy to get rid of me. This was the first and last purchase I will ever make from them.

The woman over the phone told me there would be no damages as they use a manual lift to maneuver the pellets. However, that is not the case as my lawn looks like a demolition derby took place on it. When I contacted the BBB about the incident, Robbin's claimed that I (the customer) was lying and that the woman never told me about the manual lift.

I can't get over how unprofessional they have been about this situation. This is why we shop at the big box stores. They own up to their mistakes and make it right. I can't say that is even remotely close to what Robbins has done. Just plain awful. Stay far, far away from there.

Awful! DO NOT get pellets delivered by this company. They decided it would be a great idea to drive 3 tons of pellets on a flatbed all over my lawn! My lawn now looks like a demolition derby just took place. I take pride in my lawn and spend a lot time and money to keep it nice. It only took this company 10 minutes to destroy it. The woman who took my order promised they would you a manual pallet jack to move my pellets. Well the tire tracks and ditches in my lawn say otherwise. Awful service.

I bought a pellet stove years ago from Robbins ($4k or so). I've been back a few times for odds and ends, and without fail, the service has been poor. Even when no one else is in the store, they seem annoyed to have to help a customer. About a month ago, I went in to ask about part I needed for my pellet stove. They quickly said they don't make it for my model of stove.

I pulled it up on the website and showed them that they do. They then said for me to write my name and number and that someone would call me back two days later. It has been weeks and they still haven't called back. Supporting small business sometimes comes with these pitfalls.

Avoid at all cost, I would given less then 1 star if I Had the option, this company caused me over $500 in damage to my grass, talked with one of the owners about fixing the problem and she was rude and didn't care to address or find a solution to the problem, she made me fell as if she didn't care and I was just another unhappy client that would go away and they would never had to deal with it again, feel sorry for my community to have a company such as this doing business at our City. Bad experience, would not recommend, should had read the reviews before doing business with them.

I was having trouble with my pellets stove! which I didn't even purchase from them. the people there were glad to try an walk me through my problem over the phone! they tested my auger moter for me! and didn't even charge me! they even put a tech on the phone to try and talk me through my issue. come to find out it was a jammed auger. if was not for them I would have spent hundreds of dollars! I ended up fixing the problem myself, at NO cost! Thank you to all the staff at Robbins! I'm warm again
