Noffke has incredible service and great products! In response to Robert Twain's review regarding getting a certified letter of Noffke managing their lien rights. This is from an article from a Lien management company. "Also noteworthy, the issue most property owners have with receiving a preliminary notice or a notice of intent to lien isn't with the construction company or supplier but with the lien law itself.
All of the verbiage contained in the notice is required by state law, and the notice is required for the contractor to maintain their lien rights. If you are going to pay your bills, this should not be an issue at all. Pay for the work you had done directly to who completed the work and there will not be a lien, so nothing to worry about." The lien law is complex and antiquated, yet is necessary in today's business world. Noffke was by no means taking it out on Robert Twain, but instead just doing smart business.
If they did indeed have a bad quality product, that would be one thing. slandering their business due to frustration and lack of understanding is a whole separate thing. Hope this sheds some light on the issue. Once again, every interaction I have had with Noffke Lumber has been pleasant and helpful.

I was not concerned when my contractor said our roof truss' were coming from Noffkes as having lived here all my life they had a good reputation but when they were installed I could not believe how poor they were. Not the workmanship mind you but the quality of the lumber. It was no better than what pallets are made of. Full of wane and knots I thought we had building codes? Pretty bad when a big box store has better made. Someone needs to be added to their staff for quality control.

Our builder used Noffke Lumber for all the lumber used on our newly constructed condo. The lumber quality from wood trim, cedar deck boards to cross beams are terrible. The worst quality I've ever seen. When I complained about the terrible quality deck boards and told the owner that every board had cracks, knots and some were even warped. I asked him to replace the cracked deck boards and he said "That's not going to happen.
I don't guarentee my lumber". He told me to take it up with the builder. I was shocked. Some of the cross support beams have huge defects and cracks in them. The owner was rude and sarcastic to me and then hung up on me. I'd never get lumber there ever again. Poor quality and owner was rude.

Went in to get trusses made they told me they were 5 weeks out, no big deal not ready for them just yet. After multiple phone calls to them with few returned and reaching week 13 I still had no trusses not even a quote for them. Drexels in Berlin had a quote in 1 week for me and a very good communication. Trusses showed up on week 3. I called Noffke's to say I found someone else and they didn't apologize or ask what they could have done better. Very dissapointed
