"We chose Beitzell Fence to install a new wooden privacy fence around our property for one reason: their Residential Sales Representative, Skylar Moore. Although we received quotes from various fencing companies, due to continued delays in getting our pool installed, Beitzell Fence, thanks in part to Skylar, was the only fence company that honored their original quote, which was also the best price out of the multiple estimates.

While we like the look of our fence, and it was built in a timely manner, we have had major problems with our gate portion of the project. It took 8 months to have the post replaced after if split. They came unannounced (no one home) to replace and now our gate once again does not close properly. Very disappointed with customer service. We will no longer recommend this fence company to neighbors and friends.

Beitzell was a good price for our fence. We had about 200 linear feet and an 8 foot wide double gate. craftsmanship seems solid, although we've only had it for about a week. I would point out that there are some gaps underneath the gate that our dogs can fit under. I need to fix that. Also, where they removed an old chain link fence, they left shards of that older fencing in both our yard and our neighbors yard.which my neighbor with young children pointed out to us. So clean-up could have been better.

Stay away from this business! I paid for the Fence in good faith. After 6 months of waiting for our fence ( I was told 12 weeks max) they did not show up on scheduled day of install. I told the day off to be present and there was no call, no apology. I had to call the office and was informed they didn't have my supplies and needed to reschedule. When they did arrive ( a week later) they clearly did not have the correct measurements because the fence was not positioned correctly( I was not able to take off that day).

It was made out to be my fault because the tiny wire flags that were place 6 months prior had been moved. It was not in agreement to keep those in place, they should've had conducted a site visit prior to install, considering 6 months and 3 seasons had passed! The fence looks incomplete and is an embarrassment. I asked for three additional panels to complete the fence and was quoted $1300!

This should've been offered for free considering the poor service. I asked if they could work on the price considering this was not my fault and they graciously lowered the price to $1200! Ridiculous! Do not do business with these people!

Skylar came out to give me a quote and was very thorough. I was doing a shared fence project with two other neighbors and payment was easy. The day of install the crew was early and worked the entire day. I can't complain about the process Or find any room for improvement. Thank you Beitzell!

We needed to replace a decaying fence, contracted Beitzell fence and within a few days they provided me an estimate, I paid 50% and got on the schedule, had an initial rain out, then scheduled for the next week. Definitely worth the wait, install turned out beautiful and 64' of fence with 2 gates took the 3 man crew 3-1/2 hrs! Great job!

A home inspector recommended these guys to build a fence at our new house. Even though we were halfway across the country, they were flexible and adapted to our situation. Their work was fast and excellent. We will not hesitate to use them in the future.

Waited for three months for an installation of a fence. The date scheduled and it rained. I had to call them for a reschedule date. They finally came and left with a big portion undone. No explanation of why or when they will return to complete. I wish I had paid a little more and gone with another company. I would have had a fence by now. No communication from the office staff. Very frustrating.

After collecting quotes from five regional fence companies, I selected Beitzell Fence for their competitive quote and engaged approach. Due to land slope, HOA requirements, and privacy needs, the sales rep customized my fence layout and then came by on installation day to ensure the work crew understood the different design. The work crew was prompt, friendly, and efficient, and checked with me for clarification whenever needed. Done in one day and all of my old fence carted away. Yes, would hire again.

Had an appointment for a certain day, by mid afternoon I had to call them and they said the truck broke down, but never called me. Then said they would call to reschedule and rather then call they just sent an email saying this is your new date and time. Then walked team through the yard and they still broke my sprinkler pipe. Construction guys were great but trying to get any satisfaction for the broken pipe from the office was impossible. They just didn't care what so ever. I was happy with the workers but removed their sign and logo off the fence.

Beitzell installed an aluminum fence in my backyard. The fence looks beautiful and the representative came out after installation to answer all of our questions about the fence and it's maintenance. Beitzell replaced the street facing wooden picket fence and gate of my rental property with a far sturdier new fence of pickets that matched the existing ones. Although the installation had to be postponed a couple of times because of rain, I was informed in advance of the postponement. I am very pleased with the final product, particularly because I was unable to find matching pickets myself and the workmanship appears first rate.

Beitzel just installed a 4 rail fence (almost 1,000 lin ft) including a double gate and two walking gates. The estimator, Bruce, was very knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. The crew who did the install, led by Jose, was efficient, polite, respectful and did a fantastic job. We have a beautiful fence and highly recommend Beitzel!

We love our wooden fence for our backyard! The workers were amazing! We really appreciate their efficient and diligent commitment to finishing the fence in one day from the time they arrived at our home. Not only is the fence beautiful, but the staff here at Beitzell were very welcoming and highly responsive. They were nice enough to let us know that our fencing supplies wouldn't be coming on the day we originally scheduled, and worked quickly to set up a new date (Our original installation date was for Friday but we were able to be moved to Saturday, the next day). I had a 4 board wood fence with wire mesh installed around 3/4 acre of my property. The crew started promptly in the AM and worked until dusk. Duh each post hole by hand, dealt with many large rocks in the ground, hand built 3 gates, all on time and with no issues. Great company to deal with. Service: Wood fence installation

Was looking to have a fence installed. Used their online web portal to start the process for an estimate. We emailed back and forth. I stopped the emails once the rep started asking me to send documents. This is not my first house. Not my first fence. I asked about their process, especially during the COVID time. To determine how the estimate was going to be facilitated. Crickets.

I heard nothing back for 4 days. Maybe I am getting a little old-fashioned but when did a request for having a conversation become something that a reputable business would ghost you for? I have moved on.

I just had them install a fence for me, this is the second fence they have done for me, the first was about 5 years ago. They were quick to respond when I requested a quote, their price was very competitive to the others I received. They scheduled the install quickly after I picked them and they showed up right on time. Their installation crew was great and very hard working in the extreme heat. Requested a quote for installing a double gate on their website. After going back & forth they finally responded a week later to tell me my quote request was kicked back by the estimator & they wouldn't be able to provide me a quote. Of course I responded back to ask why only to be told my job is too small. If as a fence company you won't install a double gate then you should update your website to specify what your minimum is. In other words don't contact my company unless you're willing to spend $10K or more.

We purchased a fence to surround our in ground pool in the fall of 2019 from Beitzell Fence and have been shocked at the lack of quality work as well as knowledge on Virginia pool fence codes from them. To date Beitzell has been to our house now 3 times, once for the original install(which didn't meet pool codes) and twice to fix those issues.

A final inspection was called in for this morning, shocker, it failed again! Beitzell's written estimate as well as their invoice all clearly state "fence and gates to comply to all pool codes". I am the one who noticed the original install wasn't at all going to pass, and I have zero pool/fence code experience compared to Beitzell's "over 30 years in the fencing business".

I went to the county inspectors office, showed the head inspector pictures of the original install and he agreed it would not pass on several levels, to the point where he made me copies of the specific code requirements to pass along to the fence company with over 30 years experience.stating they should already know this and have this information, as these are the minimum code requirements to pass inspection.

I texted pictures as well as my disbelief in the quality of work that had been performed to the owner and told him I'd be embarrassed to have my name on that fence, that was on January 16 and I have yet to hear from anyone from Beitzell, which at this point it's very clear to us that Beitzell is unable to perform to their advertised "fence and gates to comply with all pool codes".

Since then, everyone that has seen our fencing and gates has made the comment, you didn't actually pay them for this, did you? Unfortunately we paid them immediately for their work performed because we were just naive homeowners, big lesson learned here!

Easy process, quality workmanship. Estimate was accurate. Deducted one star because my job was delayed due to miss utility not showing up on time. This obviously isn't Beitzell's fault but they didn't say anything until I called them the day before to confirm my job. I also wasn't told that my job would start at noon, so I sat around waiting for them to arrive.

I took a whole day off from work to be present at my house for the fence installation. The morning of the installation, Karen Beitzell called my office and told my office manager that the crew had not finished a job from the previous day and was running late. By 2:00 that afternoon, I knew something was wrong and called her. She tried to push the blame for the no call/no show on to me because she did not have my home telephone number.

Who has a land line telephone in their home anymore? This lack of consideration and thoughtlessness not only inconvenienced me but also a dozen of my patients that had to be rescheduled. How much consideration would it have taken to call me after 5:00 the day before at my office and done a little damage control? There was also no apology or effort to compensate me for my lost time. I got the impression they could care less about customer experience.

Karen (owner) and her team put in our fence 15 years ago and did a great job. Years later, returned and added a back gate. The low rating is because their follow-up isn't great. Last year, I called to inquiry about getting the fence painted or something to bring back the black finish. Karen was going to reached out to the manufacture and I had to repeatedly call to get status. Today, I have never heard back from Karen or anybody from Beitzell.

They are a very hard company to get somebody to return calls. It appears their more interested in the sell but not the longer term customer care based on my experience. You live and learn. Thanks

Someone took the corner too fast at our church in Bealeton and wiped out the back fence. We called Beitzell the next week. They were out the following week. Back fence looks great and they did it at a reasonable price. Thanks, Beitzell!

I am very happy with this company. They came out to do an estimate very promptly. They have the best price out of four other contractors. They were also available to start sooner than the other contractors. Within one week they installed The fence and showed up on time. Work was professional and well done. Office staff professional and courteous. Highly recommended

I cant understand how people do business this way. I called and spoke with an estimator who said he would be out that week. Never showed never called. I called back spoke to Karen she apologized and set up another date and time for someone to come out and discuss the job. No call no show again. Unacceptable!

The Beitzell team did a great job on our installation, quick and high quality. They weren't able to make the first install date to to weather/holidays, but got us in much quicker than other fence companies were able to. Definitely would use this company again!

The communication and follow ups were spotty and I had to call a few times to get an update. May have been because they were very busy. That said, overall the team there was very helpful and professional. Also, their pricing was very competitive and did a great job of not only installing a quality fence, but also matching with existing fence.
