Services
For nearly 80 years Auburn Gear and its former Warner Gear have been providing value-added driveline system solutions to its vast customer base worldwide. With focus on accounts requiring custom engineering, the Company has built long-standing and collaborative relationships with distributor and OEM customers serving agriculture, construction, specialty vehicle, aerial work platform, material handling, forestry, mining, oil, marine, military, airport support and automotive/truck end markets.
Driveline Systems solutions can encompass one or all four of Auburn Gear's product lines. It could be as simple as providing a torque-sensing limited slip differential into a unique OEM application or it could be as complicated as providing a center section solution complete with a planetary reduction on the input side and a selectable locking differential on the output. Either way, if you have a driveline system need that requires one of our current solutions or a new design approach, please contact us today.
Auburn Gear has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing Power Wheel planetary gear drives for mobile and stationary applications that are used on a wide array of equipment worldwide. With this long-term expertise, we have developed a reputation of producing the highest quality, most durable and reliable planetary gear drives in the industry.
Power Wheel Wheel Drives are proven performers on off-road mobile equipment propelled by pneumatic tires, tracks, and rollers. In addition, they have had much success in industrial and marine applications, specifically powering winches. Also, see Compact Drives as a possible solution for your wheel drive requirements.
Power Wheel Compact Drives are typically used in conjunction with a plug-in or cartridge-style motor in order to provide increased power density. One by-product of the cartridge motor design is larger tapered roller bearings as compared to a conventional wheel drive. As part of the motor is buried into the drive this requires the bearing cavity to grow in diameter, thus achieving greater radial load capacity.

I have used several Auburn differentials in the past with good luck, with that being said I was building my 1961 C10 I purchased when I was diagnosed with cancer g to keep me busy, I purchased the pro diff for my12 bolt which I had narrowed and ford big bearing ends on with moser axles, I started on truck in 2014 and it was not finished until a few days before LS fest in 2021 here in Vegas, it literally has 5 miles on the diff and 12 passes 1/8 mile, I pulled the rear end out after LS fest due to we were 4 linking the rear and installed a Fab 9 into the truck so i pulled the cover on the 12 bolt to change the gears to a 3:73 and noticed 2 spider gear teeth in the oil, I figured no big deal I will order the pinion spider gear which they had but I had to order Thru summit racing, I pulled the diff apart and found that the broken teeth had gouged the spider side gears so to me I believe the hardening of that gear was insufficient or it would have broken the teeth instead, so I called and would have bit the bullet and was going to order the side gears but to my surprise they do not sell them separately and that I would need to order a new diff or find a used one and use that!
This is the first time I have seen an unserviceable diff and I have built quite a few differentials especially, after so little use it shouldn't have needed repair and I know stuff happens!

I have an Auburn ECTED differential in a 4x4. It failed after not much use. About 5000-7000 km total with probably 20% of that off road. I phoned Auburn Gear to see if rebuilding it might be an avenue worth pursuing. The unit was new when I installed it but I had had it for a number of years on the shelf. During my conversation with Justin Smith ( National Sales & Aftermarket Product Manager ) he suggested that there had been a design flaw in the early production of this unit and that he would send me a complete new unit free of charge even though it was years out of warranty and I could not produce a sales receipt. Wow!
Within a couple of weeks a complete brand new Auburn ECTED diff for my Ford 8.8 appeared at my door. Wow! That's what I call customer service above and beyond! I will be installing it soon and sending the problem one back to Auburn. Thanks again to Justin Smith and the Auburn Gear company for their commitment to customer satisfaction. I will definitely be using Auburn Gear components in future builds and recommending their products to friends! 5 stars don't quite say it loud enough!

Customer service was phenomenal, the kind that is sorely missing in today's world. I had issue with a product bought from a big name 2nd party seller of auto parts and they pretty much blew me off. I called Auburn on Sunday left a message with my issues Monday morning they emailed me a return shipping label to mail the part back I had a whole new unit sitting on my porch on Wednesday.
I hadn't even shipped the old one back yet, and they sent me a new unit. Every email was promptly returned with clear information. I highly recommend them as a business also I've used they're products 5 times pryor and have never had issue with the parts. I will always be choosing Auburn gear for my axle needs. Thank you Nancy for the outstanding customer service you've earned a customer for life!

Customer service is second to none at Auburn Gear. They not only have a great product but are friendly and truly appreciate their customers. I unfortunately had a part failure after 11+ months. I called them up. Spoke to Nancy and Justin. Told them my situation, they worked out a solution In no time. Thanks again for a great experience.

Trying to install ETCED in Dana 50, ring gear flange offset is wrong. After several voice mails and finally speaking with someone at Auburn, was told I need a special shim that should have been in my kit but it WASN'T! Trying to get the shim, was hung up on. called back and more voicemail. Never again will I buy Auburn. Eaton or Yukon only

Absolutely love this company! The customer service is as top notch as their product! I wasn't sure exactly what I needed, but their guys talked me through all the technical information and helped me pick out a set of lockers that were exactly what I needed! They were shipped out the same day! I got my lockers 3 days later! To this day, I can still email Auburn Gear with questions and get a timely response! I highly recommend this company!

Bought a Ected Max locker. It's now a paper weight. Installed perfectly the locker wouldn't unlock. They said to "continue driving it until it can properly break in" it broke 2 teeth off the ring gear. The metal from that got in the locker and it's junk. Won't lock the limited slip doesn't slip it hangs up so I'm assuming the clutch pack is junk. The customer service wouldn't respond till a month after warranty.
So then they tried getting me to use their scam D-REX program and pay $450 for a new unit. Horrible customer service and the product never worked correctly. Super disappointed.
