.these are the four basic principles that the D.R. Johnson Lumber Company are located on. Since its inception in 1951, D.R. Johnson has relied upon these principles to provide nice value to their clients. The original mill, in Riddle, Oregon, employed 10 workers and generated a daily production of 30,000 board feet of lumber.

SATAN would be a better employer than DR Johnson. The mill in Dillard is a terrible work place. Bosses are rude, physically and verbally harass and belittle their employees, allow unsafe work conditions, half ass their way through the day and then blame employees for their shortcomings. Not only do they view their employees as a temporary number, they underpay them, abuse them, and make empty promises regarding growth within the company and pay raises.

A guy just got hit by a forklift a few weeks ago, they did nothing to ensure employees were working in safe conditions. Higher ups are smoking cigarettes in the broiler. They have a young guy (Kyle), with ZERO experience, running the place into the ground because his moms part of the family. YOUR KID AINT QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED OR SMART ENOUGH TO BE IN CHARGE! Kyle and mason blame everything on their employees when the mill runs like crap and fails inspections because of their poor leadership.

People are leaving there faster than they can hire them and it's 100% due to bad management creating a hostile work environment. If higher ups really want to find out what's going on they should show up unannounced and observe for themselves and ask employees instead of listening to the 4 jack wagons they have in charge down there. who, by the way, do nothing all day

Ariving at D R JOHNSON in the mid afternoon, the log yard is nearly full of inbound logs on the scale pad. The lift operators and shuttle/sort machines are very busy, but also efficient. Minimal wait times, so unloading there is usually comparable to most other mills. The staff is friendly, while maintaining a safe environment to efficiently manage the tasks before them.

It is not always a peach to be there either, there are times when they get flooded with inbound loads and the wait time increases. An industry wide shortfall. Overall, I will say that the staff does the best they can with what they have to deal with.
