Are you looking for the right paint or lumber for a house project? Or were you looking to get some exercise? Gilford Home Center has been the professional contractors' and homeowners' choice for hardware, lumber and building materials since 1986. You don't want to be walking around and around some mammoth store, trying to find someone to help you and then hoping you can get the right advice.
We are the only yard in the area with large pressure treated beams in 6X6, 8X8 and 4X8 size. We carry laminated beams up to 32 feet long and our lumberyard is also stocked with dimensional framing and trim, sheet goods and insulation. If I could do negative stars I would. Their yard is a mess with different dimension boards mixed and all beat up. Nobody seemed to actually know what was there. When the employee went to get a pallet of 2x8s and didn't have a knife handy I popped the bands and he watched as a stack of boards fell directly onto my foot, that parts on me but the part that bothers me the lost is when I heard employees talking and joking about it. Like bro my foot is literally broken and you all made jokes? I'll make it a point to never go back!

Horrible business. I ordered Azek wood trim and was told it would be delivered that Saturday. The delivery never happened. I called and was told that it was out of stock and had to be ordered and it would be delivered the following Saturday. First of all, I am not sure why they didn't share that info with me at the point of purchase, secondly I'm not sure why they didn't call and let me know that it wasn't going to be delivered as they had stated.
It is now a month and I still do not have the materials I paid for. I called yesterday and I was told their computer system was down and they couldn't look up my purchase. I called back today and the guy was very argumentative with me saying he couldn't look up the purchase under my last name, he needed to know who wrote it up or what the PO number was. Are you kidding me I can walk into any store and tell them my last name and they can pull up anything I've purchased at that store.
The level of incompetence and poor customer service at this store is astounding. I like to shop at small businesses before big box stores but this is not a store that I can recommend in any way shape or form. I will go to Home Depot and Lowe's before I will ever purchase anything at the store again.

Absolutely the best building materials and hardware store I have ever done business with. Their expertise and willingness to help is incredible. In today's world it can be hard to find good customer service. ( Bill and his team at Gilford Home Center is the place to find it) I have found they stay up on the latest building trends and materials. This has been a great help to my contractor who is currently building a home for me. Thank you all for a great experience!
