I am continually amazed at the professionalism and quality that I have received consistently over the years of doing business with Complete Fence. I have been having a problem with my gate closure and when I called about it I was treated respectfully and handed off to the proper person. Brad called me and was very agreeable to my schedule. He was good, old-fashioned kind.
So nice. He took time to show me how to adjust the gate locking system myself but made it clear he was available to help me when I required help. This company and I have used this company several times and the reason s I keep going back are the quality of materials and workmanship, super friendly and professional people, and they solidly stand behind their products.

We have nothing but great things to say about Ken Lombardo and Complete Fence. Both of them came recommended to me by a coworker. We were looking to build a small fenced area in our ~1/2 acre backyard. Ken met us at the property, on time, and walked through various options with us. Even though the initial design we wanted was only about 140 linear feet, he treated us like extremely important customers.
We took a long time to make up our minds. During this time, we made several design changes. Our next design was around 200' of fencing. Ken came out again to help us make the right decisions. We also got quotes from two other companies. Complete Fence was the second highest quote, not by much. But cost wasn't the only consideration for us. The other company, which is a big name in this business.
I believe they're called "Beermess." Well, the Beermess guy came out and took measurements. In the first few minutes, he dropped a few F-bombs. Not at me, just conversationally. Just to let you know that he was bout that life. When I mentioned that we had septic lines and that I'd mark out the lines so his crew can avoid hitting them, he straight up laughed at me and said "Haha, I promise you we'll end up hitting them." Then he added that they would most likely end up hitting a buried electrical conduit as well. Like, he didn't even want to bother marking it.
That inspires a lot of confidence, doesn't it. Beermess also refused to help me with any permitting paperwork because "Dupage county is an f-ing pain." Plot twist - Dupage county building department is actually one of most organized, helpful, and professional government agencies I've ever worked with. Shoutout to Andrea at Dupage Co. So no surprise, we didn't go with Beermess.
After more design changes, we finally settled on approx 400 linear feet of 4' aluminum picket fence. Throughout this process, Ken kept in touch with us. He came out multiple times. We haggled on price and while we didn't get all the discounts we wanted, we still think we got a great deal. We worked with Sara on scheduling and down payment and she's awesome.
You get a good feeling when you talk to Complete Fence employees. Fast forward a few weeks, and the material gets dropped off on our property. The next morning, a crew led by Dario showed up. They worked nonstop and had the full job done by 5 pm. Even after their truck was loaded, and they were about to go, I noticed something I wanted fixed. No problem. Dario got his tools out and fixed almost 40 feet of fence along one leg.
I'll post some pics of the finished products later. Again - we had a fantastic experience with Ken and Complete Fence. This company and its reps obviously care about customer satisfaction and their reputation. I've already referred Ken and CF to a neighbor. If you're on the fence about a fence, give Ken a call. You'll be glad you did.

Highly recommend. We purchased 6' vinyl privacy fence and 4' iron fencing. Mainly to allow our dogs to run around the backyard, but also an added bit of privacy. We worked with Ken and he was super professional and helpful when it came to ideas and options for the layout and materials. We had receive a couple bids from other companies and theirs came in very reasonable!
It was not just the price, but the quality of the material used and the men that installed the fence. They reviewed the plat and if there were any questions were very respectful and gave a professional opinion of what to do. Super fast, super efficient and great experience all around

Ken was absolutely incredible to work with throughout the process of installing our fence. He was professional, highly responsive, and had our best interest at heart. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and quickly, and came to our house whenever requested. The installers, Dario and his crew, were super efficient and professional - they did an outstanding job.
We absolutely love our fence and could not be happier, we've already received many compliments from family, friend and neighbors. We highly recommend Complete Fence Chicago as your first choice of fence installers.

I have to give this place 3 out of 5. I'm sure everyone else got good service but unfortunately I wasn't one of them. I am a patient guy and waited and waited and waited and still nothing. I email and called and was told to wait. I can gladly say that my fence is done as of yesterday, I sign the contract back in May and expected this done in July anyways the fence installers did an amazing job, I like there professionalism and hard work.

We are completely satisfied with our new fence. We decided on a 6 ft high shadowbox. So impressed with the team who built the fence. Quality workmanship, cleaned up all the old concrete and rocks from the site and even brought my garbage can in! They were very accommodating of my special requests and were really nice guys! They cleaned up everything upon completion of the job, no pieces left around. After the initial contact, we did not get other quotes, we decided to hire this company and are very glad we did.

From start to finish, I've been extremely happy with Complete Fence. I purchased the Ameristar Echelon 4' Aluminum Fence. I had 3', 4' and 5' gates installed with added safety locks. My Sales Representative was extremely helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. He was the main reason I booked through Complete Fence. He always made himself available for questions and went above and beyond to make sure that I was 100% happy with my purchase. Installers were friendly, skilled and beyond hardworking. A+ for their efforts and work quality.
My job was tough due to some landscaping challenges that my lot poses but, they worked hard to overcome them and were creative and hands on through the whole process. I'm thrilled this purchase (very fair pricing) and my new fence! Thanks to Complete Fence on great customer service and workmanship.

I had gotten several estimates for fences and liked the person who came out and their time frame. When it was time to get to ready my permit still had not come through (get that done before you pay). When the guys came out, I had no idea they were coming, no communication except a knock on my door, they needed power and there is none outside, what if I wasn't home?
Then they got rained out, so a new crew had to come Monday. Not the same crew? Didn't even know they were there working until I heard them. Again no communication. Then they knocked on my door to unplug to say were done. Ok great I'll come out to check it out. Nope, they were gone, could not go over any questions or issues. So I emailed the office.
They did get back to me. Did apologize about communication, and would come back out to check and issue I had. Didn't say when. Then my neighbor came over to say they left a pile if dirt in his yard. So emailed again. They came out next day to remove, but did have time to talk about my issues would have to come back. So finally they did, Fence it self seems great. They still couldn't tell me if I should seal it or not.?

Complete Fence has installed two cedar picket fences at my home over the past few years. They did an excellent job on the first fence three years ago, so I called them for the newest addition to the fence this year. They matched the bid of another installer and used better quality fencing materials, were friendly and efficient, and finished the job quickly. I couldn't ask for better service!

We worked closely with Kevin Hohe (owner) as well as his partner, Rich on a fence that combines cedar and aluminum (looks like steel). The fence is amazing! Their team of guys work hard and pay attention to detail. The entire team was great to work with and answered all our questions and reworked the project as needed. I highly recommend this company!

Wow, refreshing to work with a company that is not only union but understand the building process like I do. I read the bad reviews and it sounds like hog wash to me. They offer a program where I can insure my fence under a warranty lan that makes nothing come out of my pocket. The quality of material is at the highest, they don't skimp like every other company in the Chicago region.
They have a sister company the is Northern Illinois fence. I come to find the reason for my experience is new ownership. There last 6 moths have been a positive transition removing bad blood and hiring people who are there to help and direct you like experts. I wish I needed more work. Thank you for your help complete, I will refer you every chance I get.

I loved working with Complete Fence. Jeremy--the salesman-- was straight forward and answered all my questions. He offered an affordable option that sealed the deal. The fence was installed as promised, on time, looks great, and is everything we wanted. This is the second time we've worked with Complete Fence and can't imagine working with another company.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER with a contractor. And I'll need to hire someone else to fix the work. First off, super bad communication. To get any updates I always needed to call in. I never told them money was an issue. I told them I understood my property had a slope and there would be gaps. I told them I have small animals and needed their expert opinion on where to place a gate.
The estimator Jeremy stated that a four foot section on the south side of my property would make it flush. And would be easier for us. He stated they could put a gate on the one side but it would be more money. I signed the contract. Got the permit in less than a week. Sent them all the information. I was told two weeks from the permit. The operations manager Sara stated after I emailed that I was upset not getting any sort of update from them unless I contacted them.
She then said I should have been told it was more like 4 to 6 weeks. They installed the chain link fence and there is an 8 inch gap under it. I said that was unacceptable I called Sara before the installers left as they told me it would have been better and flush on the other side of the home. Sara instantly stated why did I sign a contract if that's not what I wanted.
I told her I followed their professional recommendation. I also asked to speak to her supervisor. She said there isn't one. I asked about the owner, she laughed and said that he will never respond. She sent out the estimator who denied ever saying that that was the best spot. And said that they did it that way because money was a concern. He said they could move it but I'd have to pay for it.
I stated that o felt as if the contract stated that I would have a full fence and I do not. He quoted $200 dollars on top of what I had paid and then had his operation manager send a contract asking for $300. Nobody was willing to take even the smallest ounce of blame. I will NEVER HIRE or recommend these guys. I should have read other reviews. His company also goes by Northern Illinois Fence. That should have been a red flag there. I feel completely ripped off by this sham of a company.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I wish I read the reviews prior to committing to this company. Horrible experience and even worse customer service. We need to hire a second company to complete the work! AN UNNECESSARY HOLE DUG IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR FRONT YARD FOR NO REASON NEEDS TO BE FILLED AND PATCHED WITH SOD, ONE GATE WAS BUILT COMPLETELY INCORRECTLY AND HAD TO BE REMADE, ANOTHER GATE ENCLOSURE TO FIT OUR GARBAGE CANS IS COMPLETELY WRONG, DOESN'T FIT THE CANS AND ANOTHER COMPANY IS COMING TO FIX IT, OUR YARD WAS LEFT A MESS AFTER MULTIPLE NO-SHOWS, THE THIRD GATE IS THE WRONG HEIGHT AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED BY ANOTHER COMPANY. AND NO APOLOGY FROM SARA (THE OPERATIONS MANAGER). DOSara is quick to send an invoice yet not quick to send workers to your site.
After multiple calls to the office and Sara being well aware of the frustrations on our end due to the incompetence on their end, we were offered a $200 credit to LEAVE THE JOB AS IS AND HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO FIX IT or the option to PAY IN FULL and hope someone comes to complete the job. HORRIBLE! The $200 discount doesn't even cover the second company coming to fix the poor work that was done!
The problem started from the beginning. terrible communication between the office and subcontractors. The first set of workers came to drop off materials (which were sitting in my yard for over a week prior to any other workers coming to begin the job) and no one had a clue what was going on. You are told that no one needs to be home; however, if we weren't I have no idea how much worse it would have been!
We had to have full walk-throughs with the crew multiple times and things were still wrong! A job that was said to be less than one full day lasted over a week with endless promises of a new arriving on several occasions when all we experienced was no-show after no-show. The gentleman who initially came out to give us an estimate, Matt, was very nice but we were disappointed that even he was frustrated with this job and the "operations manager" Sara had no solutions.
It was only after multiple complaints that a site manager came out after the "work was complete" to walk around our yard and listen to everything we had already explained to Matt and Sara several times. The solution of giving a $200 discount OR pay full price to fix the job is unacceptable. STEER CLEAR and go with ANY OTHER COMPANY!

The sales representative did not follow up at all. I had to ask if the parts were in, I had to ask when the service manager was coming out, and I had to ask if they thought the job was done. When I asked if the job was done the response I received was "all done." Which was not the case. The paper estimate I received did not match the job they did.
It seemed like they made all these promises to make my fence repair look good as new, then when it was time to deliver they just went with the cheapest way possible. If Complete Fence was the only company that could repair my fence, I would much rather pay a different company to tear our and replace the entire thing. I'm still in shock with the way this all went down. Good luck
