Excellent! My experience with Snyder Pools was outstanding. Dig date 6/10/21, swimming by 1:30pm on 6/11/21. All employees have been friendly, professional, knowledgeable. Watching the crew work it was obvious they are all very experienced, the whole process moved right along, no glitches, no drama. I literally do not have one complaint. The entire process from first sales visit to pool school today has been smooth and enjoyable!
I've heard all about the potential nightmare stories that can occur with pool installs, and with Snyder that just is not a concern! My concrete is not in yet so things aren't photo worthy yet, but I'll try to add pics when complete!

The only option was to give them one star and they honestly don't deserve that. We made an appointment to discuss the installation of a pool. We met with Eddie who told us that there were some challenges with the current lay out of the backyard and deck. We told him we would make the necessary changes to the yard to accommodate the pool. He never said it wasn't feasible to install it and even recommended a pool design for installation.
After waiting a considerable amount of time for the quote we followed up with them for a status on the quote. We were told they were behind in quotes and they would get back to us. We received a call from them telling us he said he can't take the project on and to call back with questions. We called back to get an explanation why it wasn't feasible and were told that he never gave an explanation why.
I asked for a call back but aren't expecting one. They have been in business a long time and came recommended but our experience was clearly not positive. The way they handle potential clients and their lack of communication and lack of customer service is unprofessional.

Should be zero stars. Made appointment for closing for September 15 (appointment was made on August 23). Called and spoke with them at 10:30 am September 15 to confirm they were coming and when they expected to be here. They confirmed yes and they would be here between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. They never showed up. They didn't even bother to call. Called them this morning and all they could offer was "sorry for the mix up" and that they could put me on the schedule for September 29. Nonsense. For the excessive and prepaid closing fees, the least you could have done was call.

As with a lot of families who want a pool now, we were faced with who to go with to get the job done. The entire team at Snyder has been fantastic from start to finish. Eddie Jr. made several site visits and heard our questions and concerns regarding placement and our tricky back yard. As with any construction project, there were unavoidable hiccups, but the entire install team helped us make some quick decisions and kept the job moving.
From the time they started digging to the time my kids were swimming was 36 hours. Beyond impressed with their chemical manager, Josh, who has helped us solve everyday new pool owner questions and problems. It's very clear these guys know what they are doing and stand behind their work. Most importantly, this big investment in our home has brought daily happiness to our kids. We are happy clients who recommend Snyder Pools.

20 years ago we hired ed.came gave us a quote, everything was on time. My husband told him not to backfill the pool with existing clay from our property due to possible drainage problems (clay holds water and freezes in the winter) Ed ignored the request. Now our cement apron lift due to poor drainage and pulls our liner out. Not sure how $$ it gonna cost to fix. Watch the guy. Heard his father was a good business? I was over his shop one day and a irritated customer was refusing to leave until staff contacted him! Watch him.

Was directed to add super shock to skimmer. It wrecked my valve gasket, cost me 100$ in DE, 15$ for gasket and set me back two weeks on opening my pool. When I go there by chance I get the same person and when I mentioned it to them I got attitude like I'm in the wrong. Looking for a better pool supply store.

This company stood us up for our at home appraisal after communicating through email and phone conversations with the owner! Never bothered to return a call even after calling their office multiple times and leaving messages with the secretary. Very unprofessional! We were so looking forward to a pool possibly this year and because of this company we will be waiting at least another year.

Eddie from Snyder Pools made the pool and features selection process easy. He was pretty spot on with the timeline and quote. Eddie came out to the site a couple of times to make sure the project was moving along and check in with us which gave us piece of mind. The person who did the grading ended up giving us more flat yard then we had originally which we greatly appreciated. Eddie and his crew went above and beyond when the pool arrived from the manufacture late in the night, they worked in the dark to set it in place.
It didn't look like an easy task yet they handled it like pros. When an issue arose with the neighbor Eddie was responsive and helped resolve the issue professionally. I think that spoke volumes of how much he's invested in his business. I would do business with Eddie on other projects and recommend him. It was a busy year for them and I can't imagine how many customers probably called and emailed him daily.
This is where mutual respect, understanding and patience can go far. I would check back with Eddie for next steps and provided my expectations and then was patient to hear back from him. It helped to cc the office or those involved to coordinate communication. The office team was responsive to questions about contracting, payments, scheduling or getting referrals for patio and fence vendors.

I gave Synder Pool a 5 because of 3 reasons: 1. We called in March, and by May we had a pool bought and professionally set up. 2. Free water testing at their facilities, and they write and tell you how to fix your pool water. Today. my pool was good and did not try to tell me different. 3. Snyder had me go to Pool School. Sammy took me through the information with My filter and pool, and answered any questions. That is why I gave it a five.

Last year we had our pool installed. The father and son ownership played good cop, bad cop. I would not trust them ever! The experience was terrible. They did not grade the pool to the correct level, causing a step in the middle of our travertine deck. They estimated the unknown cost, well let's just say you may be in for a big shock. $$$ Then another big shock happened in the end of the project.
What was quoted to me in writing is not what was written in the contract. So in the end they are only responsible for the contract. Read the fine print and compare the quote to the contract line for line. I call it a bait and switch. The price paid was more than the contract and we did not make changes. Very dissappointed in the ownership. Very nice trying to get your business, not so nice during pool installation.

Have been a customer for several years and always paid promptly prior to service but mostly just had them do openings/closing. This year, we have a problem with suction and called them because our daughter's graduation party is coming up and we need a clean pool. We were told they were too busy handling emergencies. I asked what constituted an emergency and they said lightening, burst pipe, etc. which makes sense but called multiple days and could never speak with service manager Doug.
Always told he is busy or out on service calls. Always told they would leave a message and hopefully he could call back at end of day but call always came next day when we were working. Company makes it difficult to speak with a service person directly. They left a message saying the skimmer is compromised. So I call back and ask what that means? Next day voicemail.all the pipes need replacing and they don't deal with concrete.funny thing is that all our pipes are under wooden decking that can be easily removed.
If communication were better between customer and service tech things could be worked out. Instead you get a receptionist who takes message for end of day and voicemail next day, then I call back and he is out and this goes on and on and on. The problem has lapsed over a week and my daughter's party is now this Sunday and I have not spoken to a service guy in more than a week. This is supposedly my pool company. I could see if I were a delinquent in payments but I have never had an issue.

I can without a bit of hesitation log a FIVE star review for Snyder Pools. Ed Jr. came out to our home to discuss options for our install and he was very professional and incredibly knowledgeable. We then visited the show room in Westminster where we met with Doug Snyder and he was on hand to answer the dozens of questions we had and again he was super professional, knowledgeable and very patient in educating us with options as well as pros and cons to each pool type.
My husband and I were really uncertain on where to place our inground pool and Ed Sr and Ed Jr took the time to come out and outline the pool position(s) on the ground so we could make a decision - all the while educating us on placement to factor in best sun exposure and proximity to larger existing trees. Before the hole was even dug and before the contract was even signed they were incredibly helpful, professional, patient and the best partners we could of asked for.
The project began when they said it was going to begin and once it began their team converged and it was amazing to see how efficient they were in digging and setup. Ed Jr was very communicative throughout and every day the onsite team left the job site very tidy. Once the job was complete Doug came back out and taught us how to use our filter system "pool school" and that was really great to have that professional hand holding at the end.
The pool turned out beautiful - it really exceeded our expectations. It is not too often you spend tens of thousands of dollars to get any project done at your house and doing so can be very nerve racking - I am so very glad that we selected Snyder Pools to install our pool. This is the team you can trust to do what they say they are going to do and they will leave you fully satisfied.
If any issues come up you can bring them up and they are taken care of there is no nonsense to worry about. Take it from us - we expected perfection and we got it. You will too. Tracy Slocumb in Shirley, MA

I would not even give this business a one star but it was the only option! I walked in there with my family asking if I could set an appointment for a pool closing and looking to buy an $8000 hot tub and they told me that they were not taking on new clients for pool closings. I told them I was willing to spend $ 8000 on a hot tub and they told me they didn't care that they were not going to take on my pool closings.
I walked out because what company is so successful that they can walk away from business this company is a joke. We are taking our business elsewhere where clients are valued!

Our pool was damaged by an object thrown by a neighbor's lawnmower right through the sidewall. Referred us to Mike from Sunsational pools who checked out the damage, said no problem to repair sidewall and we ordered a new liner since the pool is 14 yrs. old and a skimmer kit. It arrived in one week and Mike installed the new liner, etc. a day later. Delivered water by Craig's pool water was 69°, topped it off and we were swimming days later in 80+° water. Very happy family!

They say they will service the pools/spa's they sell. Not the case. In fact, they tell you your on the list, might take 3-4 weeks to get to you. After, 4 weeks you call and they tell you the guy will call to set a date and time. No call. You give it one more week, call and the receptionist says that the note is on top of his desk. Still no call. Shame on Snyder pools to not support their installations and very unprofessional not to at least call and say you're not coming and maybe a recommendation. On the bright side Mike from Bay State Spa Tech was extremely pleasant and professional. 888-876-0678

Our new pool was installed early fall 2014 by Snyder Pools and they did a great job. I have worked with many contractors over 14 years of home ownership, and these guys are the best by miles. They coordinated building an inground pool from start to finish, and everybody showed up exactly when they were supposed to, did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves, and did it on time.
We got excellent workmanship by the pool crew as well as the electrician, propane guy, etc. that Snyder recommended. Ed is friendly, helpful, and will make sure that you get the best service from the decking people and others you might need to work with along the way. Highly recommended in all aspects!

When it come to purchasing any parts for your polaris pool vac or any parts for that matter look on-line to save 100% or more. I purchased a replacement Polaris Bag for $60.00 that I later looked up on-line and found for $29.00 and free shipping. I called back to see if they made a mistake and they said not at all. I told them that the same exact part is sold on-line for $29.00 and they told me that they do not compete with internet pricing.
I understand that a profit needs to be made but if a on-line store can make a profit selling at $29.00 with free shipping I got to beleive Snyder can too. I would not be writing if they were only 25% higher but 100% is an insult to their customers that they also sold pools too. Just google Polaris Pool Vac and you will get several choices.

I bought a pool at Snyder. The sales girl were great, but after buying the pool, I got nothing but problems. The installer they use to install the pool screwed up, and instead of owning up to his mistake, he blamed my father for the mistake! His worker installed the pump backwards so it was pumping sand into the pool, and when I called to complain about the issue, the owner refused to listen to the facts and called me a liar. Snyder is filled with dishonest scum!
I will never go back there again! They would rather take a person's money and give them shoddy service than actually stand behind their products and own up to their mistakes!

We had a new pool built by Snyder in the fall of 2012. Ed Snyder visited several times to guide us through selections of shape, filter, heater, liner, etc., all based on our needs and dreams. The crew was here day after to day until completion. In the spring they came early to open the pool up, clean it and ready it. We've now waited for our concrete decking, which is a different vendor, and taking longer than expected.
But Snyder has come out again and again to clean the pool so we can use it while waiting for the next phase of the project to complete. They may be a bit more expensive, but I do believe we've gotten the best quality pool w/graphite walls and installed by professionals. I would recommend them to anyone. Now, if they could only push our concrete decking installer along.

Do not go to Snyder Pools in Westminster! The young girls working behind the counter have no idea what they are talking about. I needed to get my pool liner replaced and they ordered the wrong size even though I wrote down and gave them the correct size. They did not return my phone calls for over a week (I had called 3 times) and now it is the end of July and I still do not have my pool open. I will NEVER go back there! I suggest you avoid this place at all costs! They will waste your time and money!
