The most innovative home in USA. Almost 20 years ago SingCore Founder, Peter Sing, had an idea. He realized homes could be built faster and better, at a lower price than what was previously possible. Mr. Sing came up with the idea for Sing Log Homes, expertly engineered homes, based on patented SingCore products and cutting-edge building methods. Sing Log Homes require less skill and fewer man hours to assemble the finest homes possible.
All this can be yours, with Sing Log Homes. In addition to our home system, we also offer a $1000 reward if you can find a better stronger floor with built in insulation, a better insulated window frame, insulated picture window, a more lightweight high strength insulated door, a stronger lightweight roof system, or stronger lightweight affordable furniture.

The Sing home-building system started in 1992 as the founder /inventor Peter Sing patented his first vertical grain square log. There were already 24 patents under his name at that time. Since then, there have been a dozen more inventions related to home building products and methods and most are now in production as part of the Sing home-building system.
On left is a 2x6 frame home, the middle picture is a SIP home (Structural Insulated Panel home), on the right is a Sing Insulated Log home wall. Trust your eyes and brain as to which is stronger, more energy efficient, longer lasting and simpler to build. The Sing modular log on the right does not require framing, insulation, sheetrock, vapor barrier, or siding as an insulated panel home, post and beam and 2x6 frame home does. Sing logs are made of super strong, highly insulated Sing Honeycomb core.
Sing logs are made with Patented Sing honeycomb core for insulation that provides a warm, natural, comfortable and energy efficient home. At the same time it is strong, dimensionally stable (less shrinking, cracking or checking than any other type of log) and easy to work with. It is simply a better way to build a better home.
Our Vertical Grain Wide-plank Panel Floor [fig-c] is an insulated 4' x 8' x 2 1/4 inch thick floor with a urethane honeycomb core, sandwiched between plywood or solid wood for strength and dimensional stability. It is the only insulated floor in USA. It is also the strongest lightweight floor USA. Sing honeycomb core sandwiched in between 2 pc of 3/8 inch plywood [fig-c], it is 2.25 inch thick.

SingCore doors were exactly what we needed for these oversized exterior carriage doors. The slab door have a marine grade plywood and are constructed with a foam core and metal substructure so they will never sag! Plus the slabs were a more than a quarter of the price of other options. We added cedar trim to create carriage doors that will last many years. Kate and the whole team were great to work with from working out details and pricing, to shop drawings, even after the doors arrived. Will absolutely use them for the next large custom sized door project.

I'm an Architect with 12+ years of experience working on a diverse array of cultural projects in the US. Our designs often challenge industry norm which requires us to seek out exceptional products and fabricators to help us implement our vision. I've worked with SingCore on two projects and they are just such an innovative company. Their doors and panels are world class and I've installed them at the Coca-Cola Stage at the Alliance Theatre to great satisfaction. I'm also working with them now on a unique curved door installation that is in the early construction phases. I highly recommend them to any fellow architects!

I needed a large (10' x 7') pocket door fabricated for an art studio renovation that would not warp or be too heavy to maneuver. SingCore worked with the project's budget to make their product practical. I appreciated the work Ivan did to ensure that the shop drawings were clear and met all the requirements for the installation. Our door was shipped in 2 panels and I was given instructions regarding unpacking and joining the panels. Ivan was also helpful in offering advice on how to deal with receiving the 650lb crate without a loading dock and with minimal help.
The process of joining the panels was involved and some preparation was required, but I asked many questions and they were all answered thoroughly and helped with the entire process. I wouldn't hesitate to use SingCore again or recommend them to anyone needing a large stable panel.

A few years ago we needed strong, reliable and lightweight oversized pivot and pocket doors that also fit within our budget. Luckily, we were introduced to SingCore products. SingCore has exceeded our expectations in terms of durability and to date we have had zero issues. Based on our experience with the SingCore team and their products, we would highly recommend.

Spectrum Lighting in designing a tech center classroom had a requirement for a light weight large sliding door (96 inches wide), not more than 1.5 inches thick, that would never warp. Our plan was to fix panels with 3 types of materials to this door and have it easily open and glide smoothly. Also the door had to fit within a 5 inch deep channel and clear material panels fixed to the wall which the door would slide past when open. Singcore was able to provide the solution we needed. The door was light enough, 136 lbs. and we were able to use barn door hardware sleek enough to fit within the 5 inch channel with room to spare.

As an Architect, I engaged SingCore to produce large scale slabs for 7 pivot doors for an artist's studio. The doors were of a scale and proportion that required a core that was light, stable and would not warp. Singcore was able to produce what we needed in a timely manner. The product was cost effective given the scale and quantity. Our millworker found the product easy to work with and was able to install all required hardware effectively as Singcore provided all the requested blocking and made it easy to coordinate. I look forward to using them again.

Update: Singcore responded! See response below my review. This is the first response in writing we have seen since we wrote to them about the issues with their doors. We emailed Peter Sing (the owner) directly with the three main issues we had with their doors on 4 or more separate occasions. We really wanted to resolve this with Singcore and our client.
All of those emails were ignored by Peter. He never responded. Here are the issues that we wrote to him about: --- "1.) Warped Doors: The doors are not "True Flat" as advertised. Currently 8 of the 10 doors have a visible warp. On 1/12 you offered to credit us the purchase price for 2 of those doors when we spoke by phone. Those 2 doors were the worst of the bunch. 2.) Door Skins: All of the doors were originally ordered with 1-piece MDO skins. MDO is smooth and has no grain which is excellent for a paint grade application.
What we received are doors with 2-piece skins with a horizontal seam on every door face. In addition you substituted Lauan grade plywood which has a wood grain texture and is nothing like the smooth MDO surface we initially agreed to purchase. You asked our permission to substitute marine grade plywood very late in the order timeline which we agreed to on the condition that the skins were 1-piece.
We sent this request in writing by e-mail the same day you contacted our salesman Bill Methvin. In addition we only agreed to you substitute the plywood because the order was already past it's due date and we were not given any other choices. We reluctantly agreed because we were backed into a corner. 3.) Stiles & Rails: These doors have stiles & rails that have large visible knots.
This was unexpected and we have never seen this before in an architectural grade flush door. The customer expressed concern about machining the doors for hinges and hardware as these knots are very difficult to machine without break-out or damage to their cutting tools. The customer's reaction to seeing the doors was that the stiles and rails appeared the be built using low grade framing lumber." --- Additionally, to address the charge back claim.
We filed one after receiving no response from Singcore. We used the company Debit card to pay for these doors. That was a mistake on our part. Our bank did not feel they understood door manufacturing enough to to adequately defend our charge back claim. Lesson learned. We have switched to AMEX for future transactions like this one. I've also attached a sampling of pictures showing what we received. Enjoy.
Here is my original review: Shipped me the worst quality doors I have ever seen. I have been selling doors for over 14 years, and trust me I've seen bad, but these guys are by far the worst. Wouldn't take any responsibility for their poor quality and left me holding the bag. $7000.00 wasted. Buyer beware.
