Cast Basalt is a volcanic rock, which is cast in a method similar to that of cast iron. After annealing, it forms a re-crystallized black ceramic of extreme hardness and abrasion resistance. In addition it will withstand temperatures of up to 800o Fahrenheit. Linings made of Cast Basalt are proven to last six to ten times longer than steel, cast iron, ni-hard, etc., depending upon impact exposure.
C.L. Smith Industrial Company provides several bonding agents for ceramic installations. Our proprietary formulas were developed specifically for the adhesion of ceramic tiles supplied in various sizes and shapes. We offer a superior trowel grade epoxy labeled, which is an anti-solvent, moisture insensitive, 100% solids epoxy resin.
Because we've been in the industry for over a quarter century, we understand the daily operations maintenance personnel undergo. Therefore, we provide trained, experienced and insured ceramic installers to reduce downtime and labor costs and to increase overall productivity. Our field service applications include: Ball mill linings, exhauster housings, coal chutes, coal mills, cyclones, separator bodies, duct work, dust collection piping, coal transport elbows, cone separators.

I worked here for quite awhile. I loved the people I worked with and the people in the office. Unfortunately I got laid off and was not able to return when called. They always do top notch work from beginning to end. You can trust that they will always be professional and on time with any job. I would trust them with anything that I needed done. Very Sincerely, Chris Sims aka: Airborne
