This business has little to no respect for their employees, the ones who make the decisions that is. It's as though they don't even try to put themselves in our shoes. Not only does McClarin Plastics overwork their employees, they force people to work on a day without their consent even after announcing that said day was optional. For instance, everyone was informed at the morning meeting that Saturday would be optional.
In other words, we each had the choice to work or not that Saturday (in addition to the mandatory 50 hours we must work each week). Later that day, the crew lead came around asking who wanted to volunteer to work Saturday. However, certain people - who informed him that they didnt want to work that day - found their names on a list at the end of the day which announced who was mandatory to work Saturday.
Feeling wronged, I questioned the matter. From what I gathered, since not enough people volunteered, a select amount were added to the list without their consent so the rest of us could be off Saturday. What didn't make sense to me, though, was the fact that there wouldn't be much work anyway. Some individuals (on the list) didn't even have any work to do since they were caught up on what they're responsible for. So, what was the point in working anyway? Based in the unfairness of this entire situation, I question McClarin Plastics' integrity.
