Our goal is to meet the needs of everyone from the do-it-yourself inclined, to contractors, renovators, designers, daydream believers and homecoming queens. Here you will find an eclectic variety of treasures such as: Architectural antiques, mantles, stained glass windows, lighting fixtures (both interior and exterior), iron gates, and fencing.
The salvaging of reclaimed building materials has been going on long before the Romans tried to rule the world. In modern times we have been able get it down to a science. By recycling old building parts, buyers are now able to get old world craftsmanship at a very fair price. Traveling the US and abroad, Recycling The Past has been able to supply their customers with the finest salvaged building materials available. The quality of the old growth lumber, and hand cut stone is not found in today's markets.
When walking up to any home or building the first place you generally go is to the front door. It's the welcoming point, the place where first impressions are made. You can dramatically change the appearances of any building with just a little work and some imagination. Doors have changed throughout the years along with the varied styles of architecture.
Windows are our visual escape to the outdoors. The European and American architectural periods from early days to modern times have had a great influence on windows. We offer many styles to choose from such as Colonial, Queen-Anne, Palladian, and Gothic. These styles are among only a few of our favorites we have selected to offer our clientele.

Love this place, outside is like a treasure hunt. Loads of old doors and other great arictural items. You must visit if you are restoring an older house. I found tons of melted blue glass from a glass bottle manufacturer in NJ that closed.will use in my firepit.go and think outside the box. Will keep visiting.recycle the past, don't buy new.

I love it here! Hands down one of my favorite architectural salvage/antique places. They have a huge selection of old doors, structural pieces and really unique items. The staff members I talked to were super friendly and told me all about the business they also run in Texas. A truly cool group of people work here, create here, and welcome you here. Tip: dress for the elements and if that means rain, make sure you have boots!

Interesting place if you like rusty old stuff. Given the size of the place, you'd think they would have more help on hand to assist customers. On a recent visit there was only one women who wasn't particularly friendly. When we went inside to ask about an item she didn't even acknowledge us, just kept looking at her phone.

This is one of the most fascinating antique stores/scrap yards I've ever been to! Some of the prices were high, others were spot on. They have a huge selection of doors, light fixtures, sculture, glass and I found some interesting metal pieces I'm going to modify for lawn ornaments. They do welding onsite if you need it. I'm not sure I could list everything that they have, so you'll just have to go look for yourselves. I would bet if you need it, they have it!

OMG! Went there today for the first time. From when u pull up you know you are in for an adventure. I hate to write this review for fear that this Gem will get spoiled by people trampling all over and making a mess of things. If you have a creative Eye and a love for repurposing things this is the place for you. Yes, the prices seemed a bit on the high side, but each pice is rich with history. Loved going there and can't wait to go back! Staff was helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Could have easily emptied my bank account there.

My fiancee and myself are decorating our basement with an industrial theme. I went on the internet looking for industrial salvage stores and found their website. We liked what they had posted so we took a ride. from Pennsylvania to see for ourselves. WOW! We felt like kids in a candy shop! We loved walking thru the huge lot looking at everything they have.
I was amazed at the huge variety of items they have. Love the reclaimed glass! We picked up several things that fit well in our basement. The staff was great! We are planning to go back soon!
