Concrete Encounter focuses on complimenting your home or business with a concrete product that describes you. We love to mix styles like modern and classic or industrial and glam-chic to give you a design that goes hand in hand with your lifestyle and decor. In business since 2004, Concrete Encounter has worked with numerous designers, architects, builders, and homeowners in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Keep the fun going with this tabletop concrete fire pot made from proprietary refractory cement from Concrete Encounter! The fire pot features a smooth contemporary finish that is perfect for creating ambiance indoors and out, and even for making s'mores! The concrete fire pot adds warmth and visual interest to any setting and is fueled by common isopropyl rubbing alcohol.
It is an inviting material that has a unique warmth and softness about it, unlike what your idea of concrete might be. It is not rough or cold. Everyone will want to touch it and they might even wonder of its construction. Yes, concrete works well as a countertop and is as easy to live with as other natural stones. It's durable and stain resistant while at the same time maintaining it's unique look.
The focal point of any room that has a fireplace in it is almost always the fireplace itself. Now you can show off a stunning surround and really make the room have that "wow" factor. Concrete fireplace surrounds come in all shapes and sizes and the addition of a concrete mantel and concrete fireplace hearth can complete the package.

OUTSTANDING! We met Jeff years ago at a home show. Fortunately, he was the answer to our prayers! We were building a fabulous home and wanted something different for all our countertops, NOT run of the mill granite. He and his crew were amazing with design and detail. Jeff listened to EVERYTHING we desired and designed the most FABULOUS counters. We had nothing but compliments from everyone that visited our home!
Since that time we have moved and used Jeff again in our condo for new countertops, and even an awesome high top table for our deck. If you are looking for recommendations, I can't begin to stress enough, use Jeff at Concrete Encounters! Jeff is the BEST out there! Jeff is truly concerned, reliable, attentive and so easy to work with! You will be never ever be disappointed!

Jeff is unprofessional and has an attitude. I work as an estate manager in Greenwich, CT and deal with more than 100 vendors on an annual basis. Jeff is the worst one. I manage design and construction projects and have hired Jeff to install four different concrete surfaces: two bathroom vanities, a kitchen and kitchenette countertops. The countertops look great, his work is good, he is the problem.
The market for concrete countertops is small, if you want them and you live in CT you may need to choose to do business with him, but be warned, he's a nightmare. He and I had a spat about repairing some of the surfaces he installed a few years ago. Regular wear and tear, I thought he may just do the repair free of charge, because we're good clients, but he told me there was a charge and that's no problem, it's important I get the countertops fixed and I'm happy to pay it.
He did one repair and wouldn't schedule the second repair until I paid $300 for the first one. (after all the business we've given him and quite frankly would probably give him in the future). After asking to have the second repair scheduled for the third time he voided the invoice and said he wouldn't come for the repair. That's nuts. Blow a profitable relationship with a great client over scheduling a repair!? And, to act as if he wasn't going to get paid, we've paid all our invoices, always.
If you aren't needing your hand held and just want countertops and you don't mind how someone treats you, then you'll be fine, like I said his countertops are beautiful. If you do high-end work, you're a designer or contractor and you're needing to make things happen for a HNW client, I would suggest trying to find someone else, Jeff will leave you hanging. He does not deliver any sense of reliability and doesn't understand urgency or respect. It isn't an elevated service.
