Absolutely horrible business practices. They quote me a time frame to complete a small cabinet door of 1 day. Then they change it to it has to dry overnight. I call close to the end of the business day to inquire. Then they tell me it won't be ready for another 3days. If time matters to you at all go somewhere else. The manager Rachel just wants you to come waste your time driving back and forth to get unrealistic quotes.

TL;DR, if you are not a handyman and are looking for specific custom work, it's not worth the risk of having quality issues down the road and spending the extra time to find, book, and pay for a repair person to fix the issue. The longer story - I would not recommend working with this company if you are looking for custom work that you can rely and trust for years.
I worked with Action Glass on a custom glass shower door installation in Feb 2015 and trusted their custom design plan would work for our bathroom layout. Unfortunately, for someone like myself who is not handy, the quality of renovations doesn't reveal itself until years later. While the installation was mostly seamless, a couple years later, the side glass panel unsealed from the tub (similar to the photo attached) and dangerously slips out with a high potential of completely coming unloose.
I didn't think much of it and found a handyman who re-siliconed the bottom to keep it secure. However, when it happened again last week and I spoke to different handymen, I was told this was an inherent design flaw and that it would happen again unless it was more permanently secured. The way the hot water from the shower head wore on the silicone and the force when opening and closing the side glass door meant that there was always going to be a high amount of wear on that panel.
While I was disappointed with the findings, I understand that mistakes are part of life and wanted to give Action Glass the opportunity to stand behind their quality and delivery of work. I've found that the best people and companies to work with are the ones who can own up to a mistake. So I reached out to them and they quickly sent someone out to review the work.
When I spoke with them again, they quoted me a price to fix the issue. When I pressed on the why there were additional charges for work that wasn't originally correctly done and what work was going to be done, they started to yell at me and I discovered that they were charging simply to re-silicone the glass again. I'm incredibly disappointed that we couldn't resolve this in an open conversation and have completely lost trust in the company. At this point, I'm happy to pay twice as much to a different company that I can trust than continue to work with Action Glass.

Today Raymond from Action Glass and two other workers replaced five window sashes at the Corinthian in New York City. They were excellent. They finished all five windows quickly. The windows were caulked perfectly. The glass is perfectly clear. This is our third job with Action Glass. They are the only company that management at the Corinthian recommends. The price was very fair in today's market place. Overall five stars. Great job Action Glass.

We worked with Ken and his team at Action Glass and they were professional and detail oriented. Their price was fair and the work spoke for itself. Where they really showed their true colors was in accommodating us when we required additional work done after the fact. They helped us out when we really needed it, and that's a rare occurrence in these times.
In our experience, Action Glass, went above and beyond. They're a family owned business who carry themselves in a personable and approachable manner and that goes a long way when dealing with the frustrations of home ownership. I highly recommend them.

We chose Action Glass to fabricate and install a steam shower enclosure with louvered panels. We worked with Ken and could not be happier with the results. I'm surprised by the reviews of untimeliness as Action Glass scheduled our appointment and stuck with it. They were prompt, communicated throughout the process, and stood by their schedule. Ken came at the scheduled day and time to take measurements for an estimate and masterfully fitted for our extremely out of plumb walls and ceiling. Ken outlined the timeframe for fabrication and install and delivered on his word.
I'm extremely pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with Ken and Action Glass again. As an added bonus, Ken is just a nice guy who you'll actually enjoy working with.

One of the employees damaged my vehicle while parking. I have security footage of the incident. When i approached him he had told me that he didn't do it and he doesn't care. I told him again that there is video footage and he refused to comply and give me insurance information. The police had to be contacted in order for him to comply and give me the insurance information.
I called the main office and they told me "it is not our problem, call police". Completely refused to try and resolve the situation. I have notified the Better Business Bureau to let them know the way the company handles these situations. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. UPDATE THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE HAS LEFT THE SEEN AND DIDN'T BOTHER TO GIVE INSURANCE INFORMATION, KNOWING THE POLICE ARE ON THE WAY.

Thank you Action Glass from FDNY L135/E286 I just wanted to thank this company for coming through on very short notice and delivering us a large custom piece of 3/8 tempered glass 151 1/2 x 43 1/2 to cover our Kitchen table and protect the art work of our fallen brothers. The staff was on time, the work was Clean and professional. Thank you again.

I ordered a custom size sheet of glass and was given a piece of glass cut the wrong size. When I called about the discrepancy I was told that that was the exact measurement I gave them. They wouldn't admit to making this small discrepancy. No offers to fix it or recut just that their measurement was what I told them, when in actuality it wasn't. Now I'm stuck with a sheet of glass that is not the correct size and I'm forced to pay for another sheet.
It's a shame that they could not admit the discrepancy. I asked for 18 13/16 x 15.5. Yet, I was given 18 3/16 x 15.5. Something that was 10/16 too small and they wouldn't offer to recut for their Mistake. I had planned on taking another sheet of glass for a custom cut, but now I have to go elsewhere for both of these sheets now

While the company seems to be very professional and friendly the customer care is horrendous. My wife initially called on Thursday for a call back. We are installing two custom mirrored walls. Thursday came and went with no phone call. We call again Friday and spoke to the secretary and made arrangement for measurement. On Monday an individual came to measure our walls.
He said he cannot give us a price and that his boss will call. Again, no call. On Tuesday we drove to their actual location, selected our mirror type but the boss was not there so we left empty handed with no price. Again the entire day went by with no phone calls. On Wednesday, no call. Finally on Thursday, we waited until 6PM to no avail. Feeling that they don't want our business, we moved on and found another mirror supplier and installer. This company is busy and has a lot of business. I don't mind if they are not interested in doing the job but be honest --tell us to move on instead of leaving us hanging.

I called last week to get a price quote for a shower door, and a few shelves. I spoke to a lady who took down my name and number, and told me that someone will call me back, as they were in the "shop" and weren't able to come to the phone. A few hours later, I called and spoke to the same lady who then transferred me to a man that gave me a quote of $1300-$1400 (a lot of wiggle room, no?) although I gave accurate measurements.
I scheduled an appointment for Saturday, and although they don't officially work on the weekends, he agreed to make an exception and gave me a window between 10am-12pm. Come Saturday, 10am, I was looking forward to having the measurements taken. I patiently waited until about 11:45am before calling the number listed on the site, which went to voice mail.
I left a message. I called once again at around 2pm and a man answered, to whom I explained the situation. He was short and asked me for my address, and said someone would call me back, then hung up. No call backs, so I called once again at around 3pm and left another message. The following Monday, I called and spoke to the same lady I spoke to orginally.
I told her I had an appointment on Saturday and no one showed. She laughed and said "We don't work on the weekends. Who told you that?". Since no one introduced themselves to me, I didn't have the name, but apparently it was "David". She said she would find out and have him call me. No one called, so after several hours (at around 4pm - one hour before they close) I dialed once again and left a message explaining the situation and stating how frustrating it has been trying to get in touch and asking myself "Why is it so difficult?
Don't they want my business?". I live in Ridegwood, just a few blocks away, but just don't have the time to go and stop by (not that I would want to after all of that), and the only availability I had for measurements was a Saturday. I would not recommend getting in touch with Action Glass Co. They are very unprofessional, and don't take customer leads seriously.
The few rare times I was able to get them on the phone, they we're short, and not very friendly. I ended up getting in touch with Prisma Glass & Mirror Inc who were super helpful. I was able to get a quote (althought slightly more expensive) and schedule an appointment for measurement in a matter of 10 minutes.
