PaulB Hardware is part of the Paul B. Zimmerman, Inc. family of companies. For more information about the family of companies, visit the corporate website at PBZinc.com. It all started in a small repair shop built by Paul B. Zimmerman in 1947. When Paul began stocking agricultural and industrial parts in bulk, neighbors began stopping in to buy parts from him.

Historically I really like this store. However, they are in complete denial of COVID19. HALF f the customers enter and shop unmasked? Plus the staff generally only wear face shields and no masks. Why?! Being familar with retail I know it must be difficult, however with a person at the entrance all the time can't they manage this better? I don't feel safe shopping there during the pandemic at all. Please manage the store for the safety of your loyal patrons. Thank you.

My daughter and I arrived for Ladies weekend! Very cool swag bags filled with useful coupons and a tshirt. It's the hometown hardware store where the employees pretty much know everything about anything! Helpful and kind!

While they post a sign saying mask required, they don't enforce it. Inside the store I encountered a customer without a mask. An employee I asked for product help wore his mask below his nose. I've not encountered this at Depot or Costco. I used to enjoy Paul B's but that's over.

Tool selection second to know one. Only complaint is they don't have shoe fly pie. Guaranteed they have everything else

If they don't have it, you don't need it. Just kidding, but a great place. Knowledgeable sales people who will go out of their way to help you, including advice on what ever project you are doing. They may even find a better solution for the problem than the one you walked it looking for. There is a reason they are still in business despite the onslaught of discount chain hardware stores. Go there and find out why.

Great hardware store, almost everything you you need for around the home/farmette can be found here. Much more selection than any of the generic "big box" hardware departments, and a much more knowledgeable staff, who are only too happy to help you find what you need.

Best hardware store I've ever been to. This is a real hardware store. The kind that doesn't exist anymore in our modern world of Home Depot. When you ask someone where something is they always know. And if they don't have an item they'll either order it, or come up with a solution. I was going to buy a new window screen and the gentleman is like, "oh it'll be cheaper for you to just fix it; in fact we can fix your broken screen." And they did for around $10.

I went to Home Depot because my car key has a chip. Home Depot couldn't do it and said they could order it but it would be $250. The dealership said $150. Paulb made me a custom chip key for $39. The gentleman came out to my car and got the code, and just did it. And advice: they know everything and if not they'll find a guy in the store who does. I've gotten advice about how to clean mold off my house, how to build a fence, how to clean a lawn mower engine out, etc etc. Go here. It's worth it. You might spend a few more $$ (only a few) than at Lowes, but you will get unprecedented service and quality materials.

You will not find a better hardware store than Paul B. I was blown away the first time I stepped in. They seemingly have everything you could ever need. The store is flooded with friendly people who are anxious to help you in anyway they can. If you ask for help finding something, they don't just point and say "aisle 7", they walk you right to what your looking for and answer any questions you have. I will never go to another supply store as long as I live in the area. Great job Paul B!

There is a reason the parking lot is packed with contractor's trucks from 6 AM until closing. This is, by far, the most complete, thorough, stocked Hardware store in Ephrata, if not in northern Lancaster County. It is run by guys who absolutely know their store, and their trades. They can find it and explain it, unlike most box stores. The store has an extensive hardware section, and spans everything from automotive to glass cutting to power tools to paint to generators to.it's there. You need it, they have it; it's a man-cave of hardware!
