Coupling nuts are good for fastening two male threads together and are ideal for hanging objects from the ceiling. Another common lock nut that needs a wrench to attach or remove and has a nylon coating inside. These nuts are larger and thicker for easier tightening. Similar to a castle nut but with the slots cut into the nut instead of protruding.
Button head socket products can be used for the same jobs as the head cap screws, however, they have a differently shaped head. It has a lower profile and is more rounded than the regular head cap screw, and is also used for decorative purposes (for an industrial look). Tensile Strength:145,000 psi.
