South-East Lumber Company was started in 1960 by owner/founder Clyde H. Brackett. At its inception, the Company brokered lumber products without a storage and distribution location. Within three years the Company's rapid success led to the necessary purchase of acreage in Burke County, NC where a second, sister corporation was established to provide for the storage and distribution of forest products required to supply the retail lumber outlets in the Carolinas and surrounding states.
Today, South-East Lumber Company remains family owned and operated and guided by the leadership of Steve Brackett, President of the Company, and three generations of experience.
