This has been quite the experience! From their website, we got a quote for 6 bronze panels for our kitchen cabinets. We picked the metal based on the website description and picture showing it was a darker bronze color. What we received is bright gold. Contacted our gal we had ordered through Madonna, and she said it of course didn't look a thing like we bought.
I asked for a 25% discount as we felt mislead as the website doesn't say or show what it looks like when new and that it ages "over time". Sorry, we don't do this every day, we aren't industry people, if you show a product on your site, we expect to receive what it looks like, and not to have to now go manipulate the aging process to get what we had hoped.
They sent a google link on how we can do this ourselves. No thanks. So what, we can ruin it and be left with nothing? $2700 for 6 small panels! Was told our discount would not be approved because we were already given a "large discount" because we didn't have to pay for the full sheet and they were able to custom cut our pieces so we could only buy what we needed. Seemed weird to me!
Well come to find on their website just now that this is a total lie and an excuse to not discount us because on their site, you're able to custom order cut sizes! You are not required to purchase the whole sheet. And if that was true, we would have found someone else in the first place! Totally a dishonest company that misleads people and gives false information to cover up their mistakes.
This stuff is very expensive, but sadly their customer service and satisfaction doesn't live up to the price point! Shouldn't have to go spend more money figuring out how to age the product to make it look like what's picture on your website! Our builder for our home will not be using them any longer and also will stop referring business to them.
Do not use McNichols Co for anything! You will be sorry when what you thought you were purchasing isn't anything close to what you get and they take no responsibility for it! Disgusting.
