Our company originated as Luther Stem Trucking in the 1940's by Luther N. Stem, Sr. who operated a dump truck service. It was taken over in 1951 by Luther Stem, Jr., who in 1962 built his first swimming pool in his own backyard. Soon after, people were asking him to build them a swimming pool and that is how our company came to be.
Our company is the oldest swimming pool company in the state of Arkansas, but we have just begun to make our mark. We bought our pool in March from Luther Stem. They told us they would start installs in May. The unusual wet May caused delays that couldn't be helped. Brenda made sure that we were kept in a weekly email showing the progress. I went by one day to check in and they were just so friendly. The install group was friendly and quick! They were super clean. Luther Stem is the place to go for all your pool needs.

I wish there was 100's of stars! My daughter had left on a trip for 2 weeks and her pool turned green and cloudy. I called Luther Stem and luckily got to speak to KATY! She is amazing! She was friendly and so very helpful. I knew next to nothing about pools and she helped me through every step. Luther Stem and especially Katy we're truly answers to prayers. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much Katy!

Aweful experience. During the inspection period before we closed on our home they came out to inspect the pool and stated that they ran everything and there were no issues. We got into our home and nothing is working so now we are out a lot of money since they told us everything was good to go. Will NEVER go through Luther again.our business will be going elsewhere.

First of all-YEAH! I have a pool! I ordered an above ground pool last year from a different company and NEVER received it. Covid/supplier was always given as reason. So the first thing I asked was "Do you have pools that are physically here in Ft. Smith?" So happy to hear that yes! Sean was wonderful to work with and did a great job of explaining options. All staff have been very helpful whenever I have had a question.

Before we closed on our home in Fort Smith we had them come inspect our pool. They stated it was good to go with no problems. After we closed on our house we had them come open the pool in which they said there was a $1000 worth of work needed. This was just 2 weeks after they had inspected it. Then we could never get anyone to return our call about why this happened.
Finally someone did come out, took cover off, turned on the pump and never checked back. Our pool started loosing water so we called and left a message about what was going on. That was 2 weeks ago, no one has made contact with us. Do not recommend them at all.

Update from 3 years ago. I have had NO problem with my pool since John started opening and closing my pool. He is the greatest. John is very knowledgeable about pools and always gives me great recommendations for maintaining my pool throughout the summer. He is definitely THE best employee here for opening/closing and maintenance of my above ground saltwater pool. Thank you John for the excellence and pride you take in your work.
