We had to use block tops for our installation because we purchased through Home Depot. Scheduling went fine. The first appointment 2 techs came out to measure our kitchen, I explained everything we wanted and we ended up adding on small piece for our window ledge. 2 weeks later it was our install date. Went smooth but at the end, I noticed they didn't install the ledge.

When I mentioned it the installer told me it wasn't even on our order. I was advised to call the office to fix. This is where service goes down hill. I reached out multiple times and spoke with multiple different people who have all told me something different. I was first told it wasn't even in my plan, and then that it was and they missed it and that it was already paid for.

The person who would be able to "find" the material is out sick all week. So she wouldn't know until Monday if there is any laying around or if we have to order. Issue is, I have backsplash scheduled for this weekend. So it's either move on with no ledge or cancel backsplash all because of block tops mistake. They also never reached out to me.

I had to call their office every time because no one followed up when they said they would. Finally just now after calling then again, I was told they for sure can't find any left overs and I needed to call Home depot and let them know so I can be refunded (this was after I was told that I actually did NOT pay for it yet) so the story is changing again?

Install and the overall project looks great. I'm happy with the outcome of what actually is installed but not at all impressed with the communication and now having to move forward with my remold without a window ledge.

This company was hired thru Home Depot for my kitchen countertop rehab. Time line was comparable. Set up to view and select my slab, measurements and details of my request and install was also comparable. I believe it took two weeks. I want to say, I was scared at first and a bit cautious about the process. The ladies (Stephanie, Bernice, Jen ) were very helpful, prompt in calling back, and informative.

They also made me feel good when I asked questions and expressed my concerns. Needless to say, I'm very satisfied with the out come from start to finish. The install guys (Cruz and his coworker) did an amazing job. Clean and very professional. They were also honest with a couple of minor flaws the slab had. Thank you for a great experience.

Block Tops recently finished up their installation of new granite countertops in my kitchen. I could not have been more satisfied with the work and the crew that did the installation was fantastic to work with. Communications with Block Tops and Home Depot where I ordered the granite has been excellent. Block Tops always returned my phone calls and kept me aware of each step of the process as we worked towards the installation.

The installers arrived promptly at the designated date and time promised. Never any surprises or disappointments and plenty of advance notice as we worked through the process. Carlos and Daniel were perfectionists when it came to keeping the kitchen area clean and paying attention to the fine details that makes for a quality installation. The seam on the countertop is so good that it is difficult to find if you don't know where it is located.

We did a full backsplash with granite. It required seven cutouts for light switches and power outlets. All of the cutouts were exactly on spot and made the finish work of securing the electrical outlets and face covers a simple process. Carlos wanted everything to be the best possible and took his time in cutting all of the backsplash material to guarantee a perfect look.

At the conclusion of the work the Block Tops crew did a fantastic clean up job and reviewed with me everything they would be doing to leave the kitchen in as perfect a condition as possible. The Home Depot Customer Service Representative from the Stanford Ranch - Roseville store contacted me after the work was completed to be certain I was satisfied with the work and finished product.

I really enjoyed the good communications of the office staff at Block Tops as well as the professionalism of the installers, Carlos and Daniel. I wouldn't hesitate to use Block Tops in the future. I took advantage of being able to view the granite slabs at Block Tops prior to the engineering and cutting of the material for my project, and to assist in making the choices where the cuts would be to give the best appearance to the granite.

The entire process was educational and enjoyable. I felt I received excellent value for the money using Home Depot for my new countertops, and with DalTile providing the granite and Block Tops doing the engineering and installation, the process went smoothly and professionally.

Osmond, Kevin and their team did an amazing job on my waterfall island counter and the rest of my kitchen counters. So much so, I'm going to have them do more work in the near future. It's really hard to find quality work these days. These men went above and beyond to make my vision happen. I appreciate them for their hard work. PS. The cleanest contractors to date. When they left, the kitchen was spotless.

This is a terrible company. If you get referred to them to cut and install your counters request another company. The counter was cut uneven and two short. After months of negotiating with them and Home Depot they installed new counter. Again this one was cut to short. This time they said they fixed it and it looks like black masking tape at the edges.

The caulking is cracking and sinking because it is cut to short. The mgr Osmind was to call to check on progress but he never did after second messy install. Extremely disappointed and saddened at the quality of work Block Top did. Very disappointed that Home Depot would think this is acceptable.

Do not use them! poor customer service. "manager" carol is upright unprofessional and rude. told me that I get what I pay for. poor follow up. will not take responsibility for poor installation. home depot and Lowes should not use them anymore. I had a solid surface countertop installed that had a "marbling" effect that runs horizontally. The seam did not match up as one side was horizontal and one side was vertical.

This company is absolutely HORRIBLE! They don't even deserve any stars, but that is not an option. Rude people that hang up on you, stating that don't have a manager to deal with, horrible scheduling saying they "squeeze" you in to please you, no communication, defective quarts countertops and scratches and the list goes on and on. We went through Costco, which is surprising that they would deal with such an incompetent company. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT OF A PRODUCT, PEOPLE AND COMPANY!

If you are considering a kitchen remodel with Home Depot and Blocktops is the countertop installer, I would strongly advise that you to seek a different countertop installer/fabricator. Not only were there significant delays in trying to get an install date, on the day of the install, they advised they did not cut the sink correctly, even though we gave them multiple templates.

The crew told us they would come back by 4:30PM but eventually came back at 6PM and at 9:30PM, told my husband that they did not have the correct drill bits to complete the job and needed to have another crew come by. Multiple strangers were in our kitchen until 10:30PM and my husband had to eventually ask them to leave due to the late hours and noise complaints from our neighbors.

Not only did my husband feel uncomfortable, one of the crew members completely destroyed our restroom. Obviously, this is unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. The crew members did not communicate or let us know what was going on. They came back the next day to complete the job but were in such a rush, they did not clean up properly and the quartz still had residue and multiple ring marks from the tools used to transfer the material. Also, the cut out for the outlets were made too large so we are unable to hide them with an outlet cover.

We are so frustrated with the lack of quality in their work, especially for the amount that was paid to them. Lastly, once our contractor tried to install our range, they advised that Blocktops did not measure the opening correctly so they had to come back out to correct the slab and cut it down to the proper size. Once they came out, they did not really communicate with us and left quickly while we were out of the room so we were unable to verify if their work was done correctly. As mentioned before, I would NEVER recommend this company.

So far, I'm not very impressed with the service and communication put forth by this business. No response to emails or phone calls. And this is the subcontractor utilized by Home Depot? And that's a whole other review right there. We will give them one more opportunity to get on the ball, otherwise, we will take our business elsewhere! Very very poor and I definitely do NOT recommend this business.

My elderly mother was completely jerked around with delay after delay and no communication. At the last minute they demanded an additional $1100 or lose her install date. Unfortunately she paid it. She was confused, thinking the extra money was for a backsplash. No backsplash. When they finally showed up they said they were understaffed and could only do the demo.

My mom had no kitchen or water in the kitchen for a week. The day they were scheduled to return they did not show up. When she called they told her they thought the job was finished. Yikes!

I purchased new kitchen countertops from Blocktops via Home Depot. The measuring crew seemed skillful, and the slabs are very pretty, but the installers seemed less careful and left me with a misaligned backsplash. I had purchased the extended warranty and immediately contacted blocktops in the middle of June. Now at the end of August, I've made a couple of dozen phone calls and even had promised installer dates that ended up no shows - but I still don't have even a date when their installers might repair this error - and customer support has hinted that it might be several months out! I am officially regretting this purchase.

BlockTops countertops install was not uneventful. They did a superb job on my bathroom counters. They broke a large kitchen countertop (later corrected) and I understand those things happen. No problem. However, the process of cutting and installing the small, simple piece on each side of the range was very bad and took a lot of back and forth involvement on my part.

The countertops have a "grain" or flow. They installed the left side with a left to right flow and the right side with a front to back flow. Again, no real stepping back and thinking, hmm. Only after I called them out on this did they react. They said they would cut another piece for the right side to match the always correct left side, left to right flow.

What they brought out was an identical match to the incorrect right hand side. My girlfriend pointed this out to the installer at the job site. The installer himself called me and said they would remove the correct left hand piece so as to cut a correct copy and get it right this time. After my girlfriend left, the installer tried to pull a fast one and actually removed the good left hand "left-right flow" piece and installed his bad copy "front -back" flow in its place!

As if I could add anything unbelievable to this, BlockTops actually had the audacity to solicit a post-install, job satisfaction, job sign-off call! (I must add that I do understand taking into consideration the job's needs, nature's grain or flow on a certain sized slab, as well as waste, cost and minimal "scraps")

Poor follow up, limited options for scheduling, unavailable weekends. Then 90 minutes late for the install and when they arrived said the counters weren't ready yet. Unclear at this point that they will actually be able to do the install today even though it was scheduled over a month ago. The guys who showed up had all kinds of questions about the kitchen sink, even though Block Tops took it when they came out to do the measurement. So apparently poor communication within the company as well as with the customers.

Make sure not to use this company when you go through Home Depot. Received a quote in January. Had them come out in march to make a template and finally in may the granite was installed. They ended up breaking my floor tile that I just put in. when I asked them about fixing it they said they would compensate me for the price of the tile. When I asked about the price of my time and the inconvenience of not having my kitchen complete, the lady on the phone laughed. (I am sorry put damaging my property isn't funny, lady) Still have yet to have them remedy this situation.

All I want is my kitchen back in order and not to be stepping on broken tile. You would expect professionals to make an effort to fix the property damage or compensate the client for the negligence of their employees, but yet here we are. SO just a heads up, use a different service that you trust instead of whats recommended by the Depot.

Home Depot Vallejo is The Worst! I originally contracted a simple Kitchen Countertop Remodel, with installation of a new Single Stainless Steel Sink and Garbage Disposal. Here, 4 months later May 2021 the works begins, to my better judgement my Husband and I used them in 2002 to lay carpet in our Restaurant and by them using a 3rd Party Vendor it turned out Horrific.

Fast Forward 2021 we tried to give them another chance. Bad Idea. Our Sales Designer Michelle promised that she would assist us along the way and try to make the job as seamless as possible. She tried her best but with miscommunication from other departments her hands were tied. 3rd Party Plumbers "Eldridge Woodworks" came out to do Disconnect, efficient and fast.

Block Tops Countertops/ Sacramento, came the next day, after waiting 3 months for an appointment, the Installer, starts by saying that Block Tops had lost our Template and had to remeasure. I immediately called and spoke to Shannon, she said that they hadn't lost them they just needed another measurement to make sure it was correct "LIE". They promised it would be cut and sent out shortly, 3 hours later, she said the installer had to come pick it up.

I told her and her boss Osmin, they'd better rent a truck or carry it on their backs but somebody better bring my counter out and finish the install. They brought it but the measurement was WRONG, from 11:25a-7:30p, half the kitchen done, my house in shambles and everyone from Block Tops to Home Depot avoided my calls. It's Monday May 10th, I had to cancel my Mother's day Brunch yesterday. No call from ANYONE today. I filed a complaint with their Cooperate Office in Atlanta. Let's see what happens, Next Step "COURT".

Waste of time. Was referred to them by Costco. I sent them my design and specs. The guy says that he'll get me pricing the next day The next day comes and get some excuse, but the next day for sure. Repeat repeat repeat. If this is the experience when you're trying to give them business, I can only imagine what it is like when they have your business.

Used Blocktops to get a custom counter made for a customers project. This is a big facility with the ability to do granite, quartz or Corian (Who knows what else?). I worked with Theresa the production manager. They did a beautiful job. Note how we found them is by calling directly to Corian and they were recommended. I recommend them to all my friends and clients.

From the moment Osmin and his team came to template, I knew I had struck gold. Customer service drives him and it shows! Seldom do you find someone with such work ethic, politeness and professionalism. He made sure everything was measured correctly, asked all the right questions and offered ideas when needed. Delivery proved to be challenging due to weather conditions (snow) and we had to delay our install which would've delayed my entire house remodel so he magically whipped up a team for the following day and made it happen!

I Know he jumped through hoops for me. His guys had to work overtime and we offered to pay half but they refused. Their work is amazing and the install doesn't get easier. All the guys came in mindful of Covid and with a smile ready to work. So refreshing. Absolutely would use them again and again!

If your countertop installation is small and super simple on perfectly level cabinets and nothing more than very basic, they might do an ok job. But if you need anything that requires actual skill, thought and communication, just forget it. They made a mess out of my breakfast bar and I'm stuck with it. If I could do it over, I'd stay clear of both Home Depot and Block Tops.

I wish I had gone to a reputable local company with skilled employees, even if it cost more. Learned a lesson. I will never do business with Home Depot ever again, not even for a roll of duct tape.

Treated so well and the finished product is truly craftsman. Heriberto, an installer and measurer, answered all of our questions and did an accurate measuring job. My wife and I were able to view the slab layout and move around the templates with the fabricator to ensure we were happy. Install day took about 8 hours for Heriberto and his coworker and all the finishing touches like caulking and cleaning were detailed. All this for about half the price of other high-end quotes we had received.

Remodeling our kitchen countertop and sink was my family's first home project and being inexperienced in kitchen remodeling. we didn't know what to expect. The Block Tops team (booked by Home Depot) was great in communicating dates and times of measurements and installation. We chose the thunder white granite with a bevel edge (only because it was from the trending now section ).

They sent photos of the granite slab so we could could "approve" the materials before the installation. Omar and Daniel went above and beyond, they called to give us an ETA, they showed us the granite to make sure it was okay before installing, (they even wore masks the whole time and followed COVID precautions ), they removed our old tile countertop and sink, and explained what they were doing throughout the installation.

We were very impressed by the professionalism and services provided. They even gave us tips on how to maintain our countertop. Omar and Daniel were very polite, patient, knowledgeable and understanding. They take pride in their work and set a great example of what this company is! We are very very VERY grateful for this experience and LOVE our kitchen! 10/10 would always recommend

So I'm doing the DIY kitchen remodel. Home Depot for the semi-custom cabinets and quartzite countertops. They send Block Tops for the countertop fabrication and install. Kathleen and Shannon were right on top of the scheduling for templating and install (very pleasant to deal with also). David and Daniel were on time and did a great job templating.

We discussed where to put seams and other details. I made an appointment to go to their shop to do the layout, as there was a lot of color variation in the stone and didn't want to leave that to chance. Luis took care to make certain that I got exactly what I wanted. Alex and Carlos were on time to do the install, which came out great. They were very careful to protect the new floors and cabinets and cleaned up after themselves meticulously. Could not be happier. Block Tops, you guys "rock".

Their installation work was fine enough, but the entire experience doing business with them was completely ruined by their terrible communication. They would reschedule appointments and not tell me, and I would not find out until I called in to confirm and upcoming appointment because I hadn't heard from them yet.

Don't usually make custom purchases at Home Depot but after looking elsewhere, I decided to do it for a new kitchen counter top. They had a good selection and I found one that I liked. Then I read some of the reviews about Block Tops and was hoping for the best. They contacted me promptly after the purchase and stuck to their schedule for measuring and installing.

I hadn't purchased the sink before they came to measure but I gave the Home Depot sales person the sink info and she provided it to Block Tops so they could cut the hole for the sink without having to come out a second time. The installers did a good job, had to send a plumber back for the faucet and garbage disposal hook-up because the sink size was larger than the original and some piping modifications were needed.

That took longer than I was initially told (one or two days); they sent someone six days after the counter top was installed but did contact me in the interim to update me on timing. The plumber finished the job today and all is good! Their employees were courteous and cleaned up before leaving.

I gave this company one star for it is minimum. This company is the worst ever that I have known from my experience in home improvement. I signed a contract with local Home Depot, and the Home Depot worked very hard to make sure that I was satisfied. After I paid the contract for more than 9 thousands, I started to deal with this company, and my nightmare began. First, its rep (Ron) wrote an unclear quote and insisted that his peer would understand the quote. Then, the company sent a couple of guys to my home to do template, they left a big piece of drop down area on my countertop for the area was not in the quote, which was exactly that Ron said that his peer would understand.

I had to call Ron and had about 30 minutes discussion to get the area done for template. From this point on and two weeks later, I phoned the company in a Friday morning only to find if my scheduled installation would happen and what time would be in the following Monday and Tuesday. You know what? I was told on the phone that the company had not done anything in its workshop because I had changed the requirements and needed to pay more money, it turned out again that the drop down area was the problem.

I asked why there was no one contacted me if my paid order was in question and not started in as long as two weeks? The lady, Jenifer, said " that is my fault." Can you believe it? I informed Jenifer on the phone that I got to cancel the order and need a full refund. Jenifer said OK. Next thing on the Friday, I went to Home Depot for refund because I paid Home Depot, and I did not paid Blacktops.

I was told that Blacktops held the payment and it had to process the refund so that Home Depot could refund to me. In the next 5 days, I went to Home Depot four times, eventually, I got the refund only after I told the Home Depot store manager that I did not deal with Blacktops, I paid Home Depot, and Home Depot cannot hold me as a hostage on the payment if Blacktops did not refund.

The store manager now felt the pressure, and started to call Blacktops for about 30 more minutes, eventually, the store manager found that Blacktops held the order and money and did not process the refund though Home Depot requested five days ago. In the end, Blacktops had to make a refund for it provided no service and also used my money of more than 9 thousands as cash flow for more than 20 days. This is the worst company that I had ever known. I strongly recommend people NOT consider it as your service provider.

We got our quote from Home Depot that beats two other quotes and used their contractor Block Top. They were fast on the scheduling, Shannon was super courteous and patient with all of our questions. The crew came and did our countertops of over 100 sqft in one long day but worth it ( from 9am to 9:30pm). Santos Vallecilo was the crew leader who was professional, communicative, hardworking and his team of 2 during the day and 4 in the evening to meet the deadline.

They cleaned up their work area inside our home and in the cul de sac well. I would recommend them and must say they were some of the most hard working contractor crews I've worked with. The final product is incredible and my husband and Iove our new countertops.

I had read the reviews after signing with Home Depot & Block Top Jan 28, 2018 Sunday, so I was really watching for problems and error, which I found none. I called on Jan 29 Monday afternoon the woman said she seen my paperwork and they would have been calling me, she asked by was there any days I would not be available and that she would call me back with definite dates, she did 30 mins later, Feb 5 (my window of time 7:30-9:30am) arrive at 9:30am was my first appointment to get precise measurements I didn't think this would take so long but once you see what they do you would understand that took about an hour (picturs with the sticks are the measurements), my last appointment was today Feb 14, they always call the day before to set up your time of your appointment.

My window of time was between 12-2pm, they arrive at 12:30pm, I was already advise it would be about 5 hours, it only took 4 hours, the workers were very nice Not one problem.

Worst customer service ever; unresponsive; and disorganized. I purchased a countertop from Home Depot and was told that Block Tops would call me to take measurement for the countertop. 3 days passed and they did not call. I had to wait for over 1 hr 15 minutes in multiple calls with more than 6 different represntatives to try to find out from Home Depot how to contact these people, and now have to wait even longer for their scheduling process to occur. Not sure how these people have a monopoly on Home Depot countertops but the incredible level of unresponsiveness is not acceptable.

We got an UltraCompact Dekton surface through Home Depot, who then subcontracted the work out to Block Tops. In the beginning the level of communication was a bit frustrating and getting the details ironed out did take some time, especially due to the difficulty of working with Dekton. However, once we got the initial details ironed out, they were very responsive and showed up on schedule to install the counters.

Most importantly, their guys knew what they were doing when they showed up, making sure everything was 100% perfect and that all our concerns were addressed. We were very picky about the bevel, spacing for the sink and every single seam. They were patient with our demands, maintained a clean workspace and left our counters perfectly installed. If you have the patience and know what you want, Block Tops is a great option. Pros: *Final product was great *They delivered exactly what they said they would Cons: *Communication in the beginning (had to call a bunch but it improved a ton as the job went on)
