There are few things more basic to many building projects than finding the right lumber. At Century Building Materials, we have a large selection of lumber in stock in a variety of sizes. Our dimensional lumber comes from kiln-dried Douglas-fir trees grown on the west coast of the US and Canada. The drying process reduces moisture and lowers the possibility of mold or mildew creeping into your structure. Our sizes range from nominal 2 inch by 4 inch by 20 foot up to 2 inch by 12 inch by 28 foot planks.

This review is strictly in regards to the Millwork department. Terrible experience and customer service and still don't have my doors! Ordered (9) doors from them on 4/4/22 ( a Monday). A fellow by the name of John tells me it's a good thing cause orders that go in on Monday usually come in by Friday. This was great news, after I expressed how urgent and quickly I needed them for my business office renovation.
They said they would confirm a more accurate estimated delivery date with me within 24 hours. Never heard back. I called throughout the week and left voicemails to confirm pick up with no response. Friday comes and goes. No doors. Call and email again the following Monday 4/11/22. No response. So I decide to go down there to see what's going on. only to find out the doors have still not even been ordered!
They claim they didn't see email for some reason and forgot to return my calls? (and showed no remorse may I add). Go through the whole process again and John says he would order that day! Well sure enough I follow up and doors aren't even ordered until Wednesday 4/13/22 - 2 days later! You would think at this point, some more urgency would have been put on my order.
They tell me they are expected in 4/19/22, but will call me when they arrive. Of course, no phone call. I have to call them on 4/20/22 to find out doors are in. I immediately go down there to pick up my (9) doors. However, I only received (8). They tell me the must have "lost" the 9th door in the 24 hours it was in their possession. You could only imagine what it was like getting them to reorder that door for me, but unfortunately it doesn't even end there!
I call my contractor to install the doors who now doesn't have availability to install until 5/2/22. He shows up to install and 3 of the 8 doors are wrong! Shame on me because after all that went down. I should have double checked when I picked them up, but I guess I was so concerned at the time to find my "lost" door with the warehouse guy. My quote and paperwork/receipt are correct.
They just ordered wrong doors. Again same day, Monday, 5/2/22 I call/email to tell them of the situation and try and get them to rectify issue and ask them to get doors swapped. They don't return my phone call but they respond via email and say they will order the correct doors. It is now a whole week later after constant follow up and I find out they weren't ordered until today and not due in until 5/16/22!
I asked for expediting since they messed up so much and they just keep ignoring my request. This is absolutely absurd and completely terrible customer service. I understand with the world we live in it's like everything is delayed and backordered. However this isn't due to that. This is just incompetency and lack of communication which there is no excuse for.
I never leave reviews anywhere. but as a business owner - this is just completely unacceptable! The owners of this company should be ashamed of this department and the people that work in it.

Nothing but 5 stars for this place. Went all over the island trying to find a certain color in the nicolock pavers. I spoke to Vito on the phone and he was great from the start to the end. I met him in person and he was a pleasure to deal with. Everyone needs to know a Vito in life lol. I would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I were initially introduced to Century Building Materials but our contractor, four years ago. Since then we've purchased new doors, windows, decking material and this year I'm debating on building a new pond for our yard. The team at century is amazing. Always willing to take their time to explain everything to you as well as open reviewing my plans.

The outdoor showroom is amazing. Any home owner looking to do upgrades, make sure you stop by here first! They have every setup for every aspect for the exterior of your home. My wife and I live not 5-minutes away and have been passing them for years. Not anymore. We've told everyone we know about the showroom. They even have rock salt and tools. No more driving to home depot for this guy!
