I'm not a tools kinda guy and even I felt like I was in Heaven for Tools. They have everything you'll ever need, and some things you might not, but you'll get anyway. Great store!

This place is great and the employees are so, SO nice. The gentleman who helped me answered all my questions and helped me find a much cheaper solution to my project that will work just as well in the end. They also keep some hard to find key blanks in stock, which is incredibly helpful.

Who's the new lady with tattoos all over her hands, of course not being judgmental On wearing tattoos whatsoever but her unprofessional demeanors, Unprofessional customer service, disrespectful body language mumbling foul language, poor and inappropriate choice of words, It's a shame In such a beautiful store

I have been going to this hardware store I was a little girl. When they had the first store before the horrible fire. They had good product's and service then, and they still have great product's and service now. I highly recommended this store for great service and great staff to boot.

I only buy my Benjamin Moore paint at R & R, mainly because they have the lowest prices (I know that for a fact, because I have called several other stores asking what they charge) & also their staff is very helpful & knowledgeable. Nelson especially for going above & beyond to help me!

I love this place and I love the people who work here. THIS is what a hardware store used to be and what it SHOULD STILL BE! I will never go to Home Depot again if I can avoid it. Walk in. Get a freindly greeting. Tell them what you need. They assist. Pay a fair price. Leave. Easy peasy. Do not hesitate to stop in. You won't be disappointed.

Helpful staff. Store mostly deals with large orders, but is open to the public, and gives our corner of Astoria that neighborhood hardware store feel of yesteryear. Will definitely go again when I need supplies. Let's help small businesses keep thriving!

Everything in its place here and staff that actually acknowledges customers! A win-win for this hardware store. Non-Essential Tip: There is a tiny fridge across from the check-out counter stocked with some waters and Gatorades.

If not for the hours and that they are a little pricey I would give 5 stars but they close very early 6:00pm on normal days and Evan earlier or not at all on the weekend which it seems they are closed every time I need to go there the staff is freindly and very helpful

I've been in here three times in the past few weeks since moving to the area and every time the service has been excellent. Was in there last week buying light bulbs and two different sales associates spent ages looking for the matching ones that I needed and went way above and beyond in the helpful stakes. I'm so happy this store is down the street from me.

I wish they were more attentive and walking around looking to help people. They usually just stand around the counter not looking very welcoming. Asking them a question is sometimes awkward when there's 3 dudes behind the counter. Anyway, this shop has pretty much everything for ones home improvement needs. I frequent this place a lot when i get bitten by the painting bug. They can mix any color you need. 10$ credit card minimum.

Echoing what others have said. I have been looking for a neighborhood hardware store that has a decent selection and this one has that and beyond! They are well staffed and everyone is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly well-stocked and reasonably priced, though the price was not always marked (a little stressful for the budget-conscious). They had a range of nicer quality and more affordable versions of the same product. It looks like they have a very good selection of tools too. They also have a pretty sizable lumber/building materials warehouse next door, so if you don't see what you're looking for in the main store, be sure to ask. During the summer, their hours are only 9-2 on Saturday, not 9-5 as their site says.

Assistant was very helpful locating machine screw with lock nut to replace a broken rivet. Also place does window rescreening. I was impressed by the service. Place is neat and well lite. Upstairs has a large selection of many brand name power tools. This is a local store, good for picking up a variety of hardware and window treatment. Unlike home depot, place looks to cater to local contractors and resident DIYers in the area in a quieter atmosphere.

What happened to Sundays? I found this place only because they were open on Sundays, which is pretty much the only day that I have free to do pretty much anything. Honestly it was a real surprise to find a local store that is so giant and well-stocked. You can tell from the stuff in there that a lot of pros come in there, and also a lot of your regular apartment-dwellers.

They have always been really helpful when I've been in there, they even found me some ridiculous faucet washer once that I had just about given up on ever finding. BUT.What happened to Sundays? After the glowing review I may never make it back in there!

R&R is everything you could ask for in a local hardware shop. After being in Astoria for a few years now, I stumbled upon this place and since, I've never had to make a trip to Home Depot or any other type of hardware store. Only a few blocks of a walk and I have everything I need. Great selection, employees know their shit, all their stuff is organized and easy to find.

For example, the last time I came through, they actually had dimmable compact florescent light bulbs and were able to cut me a custom chrome closet rod. They even gave me a little discount since I bought a bunch of bulbs. If you live in this neck of the woods in Astoria. Don't bother trying to figure out what bus goes to Home Depot or how you're gonna lug shit from the city back home. Make a quick stop at R&R. 9 times out of 10, they'll have what you need.

Open on Sundays! Saved my life as I needed garbage bags and some keys made. which they do! Roommate was also able to pick up oil for her sewing machine. They also have the smaller propane tanks - which work for small gas grills (which they advertise for blow torches). Need to go back and stock up on those, and the people are super nice! They also have a small parking lot out front.

DIY projects for the home is not my forte. Give me instructions and I'll build a piece of IKEA furniture - no biggie. Give me a closet without a closet rod and I'm a lost little sheep. After losing about 2 curtain rods because they're obviously not meant to hold up clothing, I found myself at the mercy of this hardware store. They were out of closet rods for the odd length I was looking for, but they offered to order it.

So I came back the next week and they brought out my rod! Holy cow! I just might have a closet this year. It was a bit pricey at 12 something, but it's really hard to find a rod at the 33 in range so it was worth it. This store is well-staffed with friendly people and well-stocked.

R&R General Supply (formerly Long Island General Supply) has been our go-to store for many years now. It's a great store with smart nice helpful people. It's so refreshing after the lack of support you get from a Home Depot. I definitely recommend them for any building supply needs

I had been looking for inset cabinet hinges with a 170 degree spread for a week. I went to three different Home Depots, Build It Green, Ikea and Lowe's. I finally ordered them online, only to find out they were backordered. I rode by this place and decided to give it a shot. I was thrilled to find a full-scale hardware store so close to my house. The prices were good and they are well stocked. My new go to for hardware.
