Services
We offer a variety of manufacturers and styles to meet our customers needs. Each manufacturer offers units with an array of sizes and installation options. Options include fans, thermostat remotes, multi-function remotes, light kits, rocks, and even aromatherapy. Whether you desire a contemporary look using marble or tile or a traditional/classic style using brick or stone, the possibilities are endless.
Wood inserts take that inefficient wood burning fireplace and turn it into an efficient heating appliance. With efficiencies upwards of 88%, makes this upgrade a no-brainer. The units come in flush and protruding designs as well as many different sizes to accommodate any size fireplace. From basic black to enamel colors, you'll be sure to find a look to compliment any decor.
Ambiance and heat at the push of a button. Plug and play is as easy as it gets. With several sizes of fireplaces, stoves, and inserts, there's a unit to fit any space. Traditional and contemporary, stand alone or wall mount, and even built in models with logs or beads. You can even turn the heater off for all around year use.

Short's did this beautiful stone surround for us, along with a new gas fireplace unit. Beginning to end, we had a great experience and we are thrilled with the outcome. Ben was great with planning and designing, offering insights and advice, answering all of our questions. Thomas, John, and Ken were a pleasure to have in the house during the construction process. They were very considerate and careful with our floors, walls, etc. Very nice and friendly. We love the new fireplace. It is exactly what I asked for.

Excellent workmanship and customer service. I highly recommend Short's stoves to anyone looking for a great propane or wood stove. From initial sales inquiry through installation, and final clean-up, Ken Short and his staff were absolutely wonderful to work with. I am looking to add another stove and will definitly go with Short's Stoves.

Great experience from start to finish. Owner was knowledgeable and not at all pushy when we picked out our fireplace insert. But when John and Thomas came to install it I was blown away by their service. Very friendly and kind. They went out of their way to explain everything to me and were VERY conscious and thoughtful to not interrupt my kids' naps as much as possible. Just an all around good experience and now my fireplace looks beautiful!

Five years ago, after a long search for a fireplace to fit within our antique mantel Short's Stoves custom fit one to accommodate our needs. Since then we can't thank them enough for the excellent service and cleaning they provide. The two individuals who service our fireplace are very professional and personable.

Two summers ago, I paid this company $410.46 to clean my coal stove chimney and replace the stovepipe connecting to the chimney. Like an idiot, I was thinking local. I will never ever use this service again. One year in, the stovepipe they replaced is dripping rust all over. Never in 28 years of burning coal have I had a stovepipe rust like this. I can only assume shoddy materials.
I have never had to bust my a$$ cleaning rust off like I am now. You can't imagine how teed off I am, especially since I tried to stay more local rather than getting the original installer to do the work. It probably wouldn't be a reach to say that the chimney cleaning that went with it was most likely a crappy job also. I am thoroughly disgusted. So sorry that I did this.
