Services
As one of the leading suppliers of aggregates in the Ohio Valley Region, Nugent Sand is proud to offer its locally produced, high quality products to customers of all sizes, including ready-mix concrete companies, landscapers, and developers. Aggregates are key ingredients in concrete and asphalt mixes, foundations, road bases, and many other construction jobs.
Construction aggregates lay the foundation and create the infrastructure of our cities and towns. Sand, gravel, and limestone are key ingredients in concrete, asphalt, and base material, which are the building blocks for highways, bridges, public utilities, airports, schools, churches, office buildings, houses, golf courses, football stadiums, and much, much more.
The top dressing, greens, and turf mixes are blends of our natural sand and peat. Our products are used in regional public and private golf courses, professional and collegiate athletic fields, and other special projects. Our soils are blends of Nugent Organics' own topsoil, compost, and sand and have both commercial and residential uses.

Other than hardly ever answering the phone and being out of dirt for a month, I ended up getting my driveway broken. Nugent said not to worry, they will take care of it. They directed me to the trucking company that delivered, and they said because I let them drive on my driveway, they are not liable. Now my 3-yr-old can lacerate his face on the freshly jagged driveway pieces while learning to ride his bike, only for the price of some dirt.
The sales person and driver were very nice up front and I felt good until this all happened. Just unfortunate to be told there will be resolution, then retract. I would have rather them say I was out of luck in the beginning. I also chose them because they are close, and they called me back in the beginning just to charge me more because I'm literally one house past the Gene Snyder.

I had an awesome experience with Nugent Sand Company. I ordered 10 tons of pea gravel Friday afternoon and it was promptly delivered 8am as planned the next morning. Judy was friendly and helpful. Fred delivered it and also was super friendly and very concerned about damaging overhead tree limbs and keeping off my grass. What a great job Nugent.

Great dealing with Nugent Sand. This place is absolutely huge, a giant sandbox. probably the largest supplier of sand, rock, aggregate in Kentucky/Southern Indiana. Really a neat place. If you are a small homeowner going their for a few yards, just keep in mind that their primary business is wholesale commercial (barges, rail, dumptruck etc). They will service you but may not be most excited to answer your every last question.they have much larger and more important orders to fill.

Don't try and reach them, you'll be on the phone forever listening to a recording-and then when the recording says they are open until 5 don't believe them! They shut down when they want. I showed up at 4:49 and the guy said they closed at 4:45-(four minutes late in his mind-still 11 minutes before the place was suppost to close) so he wouldnt let me buy a truck load of mulch even though I had driven 25 mins to get there!
They were suppost to be open until 5! During a down economy they are turning customers away! Over this next week I was going to be purchasing over 800 sq feet of mulch and large slate stones for a walkway. I need 800 sq feet of mulch each year- I'll be buying elsewhere from now on. Oh, and when I left a message for the manager to tell him what happened, he never called back. Guess they dont need the business!
