Urban Lumber

Urban Lumber Company built us a custom size dining table out of a salvaged black walnut tree for our built-in bench seat dining area. Because of our built-in bench seats, we needed a table of a particular size and also one with a pedestal base so people could slide into the bench without bumping their legs on the table legs. After looking at every furniture store in the area, and having no luck in finding a table that was the right size, we began to search online.

We found a table from a company in Michigan that looked about right, with a live edge, but the manufacturing estimate was many months out and the shipping was a nightmare. Hoping we could find a craftsman closer to home, we searched the local area online and found Urban Lumber Company. It was a very pleasant experience to work with Sheri, Nick, and the guys and get a personal tour of their most impressive warehouse and production facility in Springfield. There, I was able to pick out the air dried slabs that would be used to make our table.

They even designed and fabricated the wood pedestal base that we requested. The table exceeds our expectations in every way! It is absolutely beautiful, fits our space requirements perfectly (well, duh, it's custom), and was even delivered and set up in our dining room. And the fact that it came from a local salvaged black walnut tree is even better. This company rocks, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Seth is the most talented Craftsman and all around smart kind outgoing Guy you could ever meet and I'm not just saying that because hes married my cousin he is one of a kind when it comes to the furniture and crafts ideas everything wood metal electrical related this guy knows and has it all no wonder why his business is rated 5 stars with over a 9 plus out of 10 over all of all reviews that have been done I will and have always refer to anyone I know that is looking for custom furniture or art as I would call it because you can't find quality like that from anywhere that I've ever seen

Some of the most intricate and amazing furniture pieces crafted from old growth and salvaged wood from around Oregon. The table made from wood from a WWII ship that was sunk in Newport is so cool!

Great place to buy lumber. Or make money selling logs from trees removed in your yard.

Some cool stuff. Never bought anything so I don't know about the quality of it but the showroom is pretty nice.

Did not spend money, but was treated like a King by Seth. He took the time to show me around and explain there offerings WoW! If your looking for slabs of domestic hardwood you have found bliss. They have a selection of exotics too but not as impressive as there slab cutting process.
