DeLeeuw Lumber was started in 1947 by Warner DeLeeuw Sr. and his sons as the W. DeLeeuw & Sons Lumber Company. They started a lumber supply business in their backyard and later moved to the present day Lakewood Boulevard location in 1958. DeLeeuw was one of the first lumber yards in West Michigan to utilize fork lifts and roll-off bed delivery trucks. Still family owned by Warner Sr.'s grand sons, DeLeeuw Lumber continues to grow and adapt to meet the needs of its customers and the changing building market.

These folks have been great to work with. They supplied all the materials for our deck build project. We wanted to work with a locally owned company instead of a big lumber/hardware chain. DeLeeuw was very competitive and was outstanding on service. Their help was personal and professional. They gave suggestions that made the job easier and were commended by the building inspector. Every person we worked with at DeLeeuw was outstanding. They are a great value.

My year end ratings: Windows in our somewhat historic house, built in 1872, are original and often weather beaten. It is important that the windows remain authentic. I needed an old storm window, badly in need of repair and there was no other place to go. De Leeuw agreed to repair said window. The guy that repaired the window is a true artisan! I truly regret that I don't remember his name as I would mention it here - I'll do so later!
I shall return because he was SO talented - window looked like new after he completely refurbished the completion with the old, half rotted window. I knew this would cost but in the end, they were able to charge less. I am very happy and hope to find him again in the future.

Family owned local lumber company with a huge selection and amazing customer service. Their lumber is the best in town, and will beat Lowes and Menards hands down. I'm very impressed with the quality of the plywood and lumber for my projects. Even buying from their discounted/defect material is better than the "choice" lumber at other suppliers. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly they are and I will continue to do business with them for all my needs.
