Capital Lumber

Ok if you didn't look here first; it's budget based. They didn't have the toilet seat I wanted, but I looked here first. If you want service, check here prior to anything else.

Its a great place and service is great. Its a ture hardware store. They have just about anything you need to fix a persons house.

They have the best products, the most knowledgeable employees with quick and friendly service; don't waist your time with big box stores where finding help is as hard as finding the right product.

I live Capitol staff! They're super friendly and almost always has what I am looking for. Only reason for 4 not 5: hours on Saturday. :/

I needed a specific size of lumber for the repair I was working on at the time. They cut the lumber to size for free! They were also the lowest price in town for that lumber.big box stores were 40% higher. I always price my jobs. Even the tools I needed were 20% less than the big box stores. I highly recommend this team who will work for your business and get what you need. I was a newer customer but sold on their many years of knowledge, customer service, and competitive prices.

Their computers went down as I was at the checkout counter. The employee that was helping me said to me "don't worry, I'll just do it the old fashioned way" then he reached into a drawer and pulled out a receipt book and wrote my order by hand. I was out of there in less than 5 minutes.

Sorry to hear about the previous review by Cindy and her experiences, that's unfortunate and unacceptable. I'm confident the good people of Capital Lumber, would also see that experience as unacceptable. I have had great experiences with the folks at Capital Lumber over the years. They can be a little more expensive than the big boxes, but they are fairly good about price matching on some tools I've purchased.

If you want quality products from people who know their trade inside and out, Capital is the place. If you need quality lumber for a project that matters (hardwoods, straight and quality dimensional lumber), Capital is the place. If you need to order some specialty items (doors, siding, metal roofing materials), Capital. If you need a p-trap for a sink or a box of screws, or 14 different kinds of wood glue, or some random 2x4's, pick a big box store.you shouldn't need help with that. If you have a question that needs an answer that is accurate and given by a person with actual real experiences, Capital.

Probably would be better not to have condescending sexist rude employee who interrupted every time my sister was trying to explain what we needed. He would have sold us a bunch of unnecessary items because he wouldn't listen to two woman. I would give zero star if it was possible. my sister's and my business will go to store who listen and help instead of patronize the customers
