I would recommend Metro Garage Door to anyone needing a new garage installed. The whole team that worked with me was great. I appreciated that neither the appraiser nor the installer (Mike) tried to sell me anything I didn't need. The office staff was very accommodating my need to reschedule my installation date. Mike, the technician was prompt, courteous, kept me informed about the installation, and finished the job in less than three hours!

Randy was the service tech and he was the best! Turns out he had been out several years prior to replace the opener for our other garage door. I remembered him and he recognized his own work (which is very neat). Randy represents Metro Garage Door well -- very friendly, courteous, and pleasant.

I've been 100% satisfied in 2 recent situations where Metro Garage Door was needed for repairs. One was a large spring and the other was an opener motor that burnt out. Both times they were fast, courteous, efficient and professional. The person on the phone showed a sense of urgency and in both cases the service techs called early to let us know exactly when they'd be there and were on time and did terrific work. They explained everything before leaving as well. Overall one of the best experiences I've had with a home services company. BOTH TIMES!

I would have given Metro Garage Doors five stars, but for one unfortunate problem. They installed a new garage door for me in May, 2022. Their price was the same as other competitors and they were prompt, communicative, and friendly. The installation went fine, but the next day, my garage door would not close. To their credit, Metro sent someone out right away to look at it.

He said that the issue was with the sensors (the photo eyes), which had been reinstalled from my previous door. He said the sensors were old and worn and needed to be replaced, but they had worked well and consistently for years until the new door installation. The technician speculated that it might have been a coincidence that they stopped working right after the new installation; to me, it's much more likely that they were damaged somehow during the installation. In the end, I was forced to pay for new sensors after Metro damaged my old sensors, resulting in this negative review.

Metro Garage Door was able to come out in less than 24 hours to repair our door. Randy was amazing! Randy gave us great tips and tricks for keeping our door working well into the future (and to prevent premature breakage). Would recommend Metro Garage Door - and especially Randy - for any garage door repair!

Randy is a top notch technician. Not only was he able to quickly diagnose the issue with our garage door, he took the time to explain everything to me step by step. Furthermore, he gave me some very useful tips about how to properly care for my garage doors and extend their lives. Much appreciated! We will be recommending Metro Garage Door to all of our neighbors.

Randy was delightful. He called before with an estimated arrival time. He introduced himself and gave a brief overview of his credentials. He quickly found the issue and outlined my options. He also gave me tips on how to maintain the life of the garage door opener by oiling it each fall. If anybody says that customer service is dead they just need Randy to come to their house and they will be proven wrong.

I would highly recommend your company and Randy in particular to everyone. Also a shout out to the woman who scheduled my appointment and took down all my information. She also displayed exceptional customer service, was extremely pleasant, making the scheduling of your service very easy and stress free.

Randy serviced our garage door and we were very pleased with the service he provided. He is incredibly knowledgeable, quick and efficient, friendly and takes pride in his work. He took additional time to explain things to me and show me things I could do to help keep my doors working properly longer. Thank you Randy!

Had Metro out to repair a garage door I accidently hit while backing out of the garage (Ugh). I was so happy with how Randy quickly put my concerns to rest and fixed the door. I was worried it may need to be replaced and cost a lot of $$, but it was a quick fix and Randy showed me how to maintain my door so that it lasts longer and makes less noise. I have used Metro several times as I have 3 doors, and have always been very happy with their work! Highly recommended!

I'd first like to say that if I could, I would give more than 5 stars. Metro Garage Door is a great company. We have used them for our house, my daughter's house and today for my mother's house. We truly have been impressed every time they have done work for us which is why we keep telling people about this company. My mom was impressed with who she talked with to set up an appointment (sorry I don't know her name) and was surprised when she said someone would be out the same day. Jim came and quickly assessed that the antique 26 year old opener would need to be replaced. Jim was very nice and did a quick, thorough job of installing the new opener. Thanks Metro, we'll be calling again when we need you!

My garage door would not close and the roller on one side had come off the track. Randy (technician) assessed the issues and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes. He also gave a thorough explanation of what was done and how to troubleshoot issues in the future. Very happy with the service. Recommend this company for fast and reliable service with very experienced technicians who know their stuff. Thankful to get a 20 plus year experienced technician for my call. Randy you saved the day!

Jordan from Metro Garage door to the rescue! We were having an intermittent problem with the garage door opener on one of our doors - would open but then not shut so I called Metro Garage - someone we've used off and on for repairs over the years. I was pleased to be able to get an appointment just about a week out and Jordan came out during the promised 4-hour window to assess our situation. Turned out the circuit board on the 24 year old opener was shot so rather than repairing teh unit for $350, Jordan recommended a new opener which was $423 installed (which has the added benefit of being able to be controlled from my phone - REALLY GREAT).

We ended up replacing a second controller of the same age on the other garage door while he was here. His work was very thorough and he was very conscientious. It took around 2.5 hours to get it all done and everything all cleaned up. He even helped reprogram our remote entry and both of our built-in openers in our cars. Great attitude and great service. Highly recommended.

We just had a new garage door opener installed by Metro Garage Door. Minutes after the installer left, we moved our cars back into the garage and attempted to close the garage door. It started down, then went back up, again and again. When we called to request that someone come out to adjust it so that it would close completely we were told that we would have to pay for a service visit.

In our minds this was clearly an installation issue that should fixed at no cost. Update -- after leaving a comment on the Metro Garage Door website, they called us back and sent out the garage door installer to look at the door and adjust it so that it closed correctly with no service charge.

Had issues with garage door, had a different repair business come out and look at it and give me a quote. luckily a friend from church told me about Metro Garage Door. From the first phone conversation to the repair of our garage door, everyone was so nice, informative, and patient in taking time to explain what was going on and what needed to be done. Kevin showed up on time, was VERY polite and knowledgable.

Bottom line was what needed to be taken care of and the cause was never brought up by the two previous door repair companies. Door now works better than it ever has, and the charge was roughly 20 percent of what other companies quoted. Tells you something about honesty, dosnt it. Will recommend Metro to everyone I know.

This company is AMAZING! I am rarely satisfied with the service I get from contractors that work at my house but these guys are the BEST! A spring broke on my garage door yesterday. They sent a technician over today (Jess(i)). He was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and fast. The work was completed in a very short time. He also inspected the entire door system and replaced parts that were in poor condition and would have failed in the near future.

He knew everything about garage doors and openers. The cost was a lot less than I expected! I am completely satisfied with the work and would recommend this company to anyone who needs work done on their garage door. You will not find a better contractor to do this work. They are IMPRESSIVE!

Spring snapped late on the Weds before Thanksgiving. Metro came out Friday, and within 20m had replaced the spring. Good communication, good service. $218.

Fantastic! We had a spring break and could not get the car out of the garage. I called around 9 am and Zach arrived around 10am! Wow! He was absolutely professional and pleasant and made the repair quickly. The charge was what was quoted over the phone with no surprises. I would absolutely call them again!

I have a hard time writing a poor review. I prefer to spend my energy giving good feedback. However, I feel it necessary to warn other customers. I called yesterday to get a quote for installation of a keypad and was quoted a price of $68. I also needed a remote which I was told was $48. Today the missing extra remote was discovered so that was no longer needed.

I called to update the order and because I was so happy that the remote was found I inquired how much the remote was: "That typically runs about $50 right?" thinking this was a win on my part since I saved $50. She said "Yes, and the keypad $183." That was different from what I was told. I shared that. She told me the person I spoke to yesterday was "new" and gave me "bad information." I asked that the quote be honored, thinking that was the fair thing to do as a business since I made a decision as a consumer based on that 'bad' info.

No luck. I asked for the supervisor and spoke to a very unprofessional woman who a) accused me of saying I spoke to a guy (I had said I spoke to a gal) so I corrected this b) told me that I was accusing her employee of having a "lack of training." (I never said this statement, but instead only told her what I was told - that the woman from yesterday was 'new and gave me bad info.') and c) told me that 'nobody is perfect except God, ' in response to me asking them to honor their price from yesterday.

Her tone was rude, unprofessional, curt and she kept trying to explain to me their pricing structure and "the only mistake" the girl made the day before. When I simply said I was only concerned with getting the price I was quoted, she came down $14. I am anxious to get this work completed so I was tempted to go forward with this company but after listening to my gut, I made the call to say I will seek service out elsewhere and am so happy to do so!

I value companies who stand by their word, support their employees -- even if they make a mistake but not by punishing the customer, and provide training backstage to address any issues that may arise. This company lost what could be a long-time customer for my two homes and I'm looking forward to giving my business to a company that values customers. Metro Garage Door is not that company.

Very poor service! Metro Garage came out initially to fix the garage door and charged us $113 When I came home that evening the garage door was still not working. A week latter a different technician from Metro Garage Door came out. and figured out what the problem was. We asked to credit the original bill and Metro Garage refused to do so. Not sure why we should pay for their mistake

So for some reason, garage door installers/repair companies are pretty much the used car salesmen of the home repair world. Just a little too slick. A little too loose with the facts. A lot of gel in the hair. You get the picture. Who knew right? In my experience Metro was the better of the bunch. They installed our door 3 weeks after they said they would without any call to let me know what's going on.

But it's been over a year and it looks and works great. No problems. Their salesman was the least douchey of the douchey garage door sales guys and their price was competitive.

I had a balky garage door opener that wouldn't properly sync with either the remote opener(s) or the keypad. Randy from Metro Garage solved both issues. My ~20 year old Liftmaster needed new remotes and a replacement keypad. He also lubricated the wheels and tracks and performed some general maintenance. Now I know that I should use WD40 and any non-gummy lubricant on the door every three months.

Otherwise the motor has to work too hard and could burn out prematurely. He also offered that in his opinion my unit is the best Liftmaster model ever made and that it can (and should) be repaired not replaced nearly indefinitely. For now, it's back to operating like a champ. Randy was on time (he called to give me heads up that he was en route 10 minutes before arrival), very personable and professional.

The total cost for two new remotes, a new keypad and labor was ~$330.00. About half the cost of a complete replacement. Yes, $300+ may seem a bit steep for basic parts and the service performed. But the work is warrantied and if I run into any issues down the road I know I can rely on Metro to address them.

HORRIBLE. They told us it would be 1 week to get the door; three weeks later we finally got a call for install. They did not communicate ANY delay and did not communicate at all unless we called to inquire about our door. Then, they told us they would be to the house between 9-12 and got there about 1:30. The day of the install, they said they would be there between 9-10 and rolled in about 11:30. "Bill" said they don't even service our area but they have been down NUMEROUS times before and not been difficult and if that was the case, why did they make the initial service call. NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

My garage door opener spontaneously disassembled itself last night. I called this morning, had someone out by noon, and my door opens again, for $100. Very happy with this.

The mounting brackets connecting the motorized arm to our garage door were sheared off because the bottom of the garage door had frozen to the concrete. Amazing, huh? I thought I could easily fix it, but decided to let the pros do it after seeing what a great job they did at the car dealership where I work. Metro replaced a huge commercial garage door within 24 hours of it being destroyed by a car.

The repairman, Randy showed up right on time and assured me I was better off not trying to do it myself. The way he repaired it was much safer, stronger and simpler than what I would have done. He also offered to "service the system", which I though may have been a waste of money. I had him do it and left for work. When I came home that night and closed the garage door I thought it wasn't working because it was so quiet and smooth.

The servicing of the system turned out to be a great idea. For the repair work and servicing the system the entire bill was only $113 which may be some of the best repair money I've ever spent. When it comes to a system like a garage door opener I think it's worth investing some money to let the pros do things properly. The last thing my wife and I wanted was for those bolts to strip out again because they were under tremendous pressure and if they had launched across the garage I think they would have penetrated anything they hit like a bullet. Metro did a great job, on time, for a very reasonable amount of money and I felt like we got more than our money's worth. It was very reassuring to have something like that done by pros who know what they are doing. Needless to say I would highly recommend Metro.

Used them twice, similar experience both times. I called in the AM and had a tech out the same day. He arrived when promised (called 20 minutes out so I knew when he would be there). The problems were promptly diagnosed and repaired. The tech explained the issues and the solutions so I could understand what the problem was. I am pleased with the service provided by Metro Garage Door.

The service we received on our broken garage door was both economical, and first rate. The technician arrived exactly at the time I requested. I would recommend this company heartily.
