I ordered an awning from rollup on May 28, 2021. I received a call from them on Friday 23, 2021 saying the awning would be installed on Saturday the 24 after 12 noon. At 3:45 I called Rollup trying to find out when it would arrive. I was told the installers had not returned to the store so they are still installing. I asked how late the installers work and was told they work until they finish their installations for the day.
I waited until 7:00 PM and nobody arrived or called to update my scheduled installation. I called Rollup on Monday July 25, 2021 and was told the installers foreman's brother had died. Naomi (Rollup employee) stated the awning is rescheduled to be installed on Saturday July 31, 2021. On Friday July 30, 2021 Catherine (another Rollup employee) said I should call back on Saturday July 31, 2021 at 9:15 AM to find out what time the awning would be installed.
When I called back on Saturday I was told I was not on the schedule to have my awning installed. I asked to speak with Naomi and she said they could assemble my awning and install it on Monday August 2, 2021. After all this I asked to speak with Ray Braun (The owner). I explained to him the previous situation and he became extremely upset with me.
He started yelling on the phone and ranting about how life is too short to worry and other non related things regarding the problem. He then got even more upset and abruptly hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with Naomi. I told her since the awning was not even assembled I wanted a complete refund. She said the owners wife refused to allow me to cancel without a loss of my deposit.

My experience with rollup awnings was perfect. Every aspect of this purchase was top notch. The salesman who later did the on sight inspection was very capable and informative. The installation was done in a little over an hour and the installers did a clean and efficient job. I haven't entertained much, due to covid, but the few friends who have seen it are impressed not only by its look, but by the obvious strength of the install. Very happy

This is an update to June 2020 complaint. This fight is still continuing after 13 months. The awning material split on all 5 seams after only several seasons of intermittent use. A size of 24 ft wide and at a cost of $7,400! Ray Braun (the owner) wanted to charge me an additional $2,000 after he screamed at me saying it was my fault! He said he knows what kind of person I am " I want something for nothing, and called me a liar and a cheat." I needed a new roof last month and Customer Service told me that the roofers can remove the awning and I asked if we could please settle this and get this product repaired and re-installed. Anne said she would get right back to me that evening (that took 4 weeks).
The company received notice from Suffolk County Consumer Affairs from a complaint lodged a year ago. I was told I have to retract that complaint before they offer me any kind of resolution. I responded saying that first the awning needs to be complete and then I would retract the complaint. Again I was told "I will get right back to you." Another month has gone by.
The awning is now laying on my driveway. I am going through with all my charges with Consumer Affairs, Better Business Bureau, Suffolk County DA and Small Claims Court. If by some miracle they repair and re-install this awning I will then retract all complaints however I highly doubt it considering their reputation. If they do not complete this very soon I will continue with all of these complaints and am suing for the maximum amount allowed of $5,000 to put towards a new awning with another company.
To all that are contemplating using this company there is invaluable information with their product. One smart thing Ray Braun did was he "patented" his electrical components so that no other company can repair his product. You are stuck dealing with this arrogant, rude and nasty owner. You actually have to feel bad for him. Anyone who is so angry, mean and nasty has to have a miserable personal life and he will surely die alone

We purchased our Rollup Awning after we lost several trees in our yard due to recent storms. It has been a perfect solution and the quality of the awning is excellent. Our salesman spent a good deal of time with us and explained how awnings were manufactured and serviced. We also appreciated that the awnings were displayed and operational in the showroom. Did not have to "buy from a catalog". Installation was done by professional team who responded promptly to a small issue about leveling the awning. Our Rollup Awning was installed at the end of the summer. They had so many different designs and colors it was difficult deciding which one was perfect for us. Installation went smoothly and the service men were polite and certainly knew what they were doing. We had a problem with the awning retracting completely. We called the office and a scheduled appointment was made within a few days.
After an adjustment to the motor all way well. We have gotten many compliments on our awning and we are enjoying the shade after this very hot summer. Thank you Rollup Awnings!

Rollup Awnings has been terrific. They installed my awning this summer and we loved having the protection from the blazing heat. After a couple of months we noticed that the awning was tilted slightly when it was expanded so I called them. They immediately scheduled a team to make the adjustment. The adjustment was made and it is totally level. However, the team said they need to make some additional adjustments and scheduled to come back a second time. They guys were terrific and the awning works great. They stand behind their product. I recommend them highly.

My new Rollup awning is perfect! I use it almost daily enabling me to sit comfortably on the patio. Good timing as more time is spent enjoying my home and backyard these days. As an added bonus, it also provides shade inside keeping the room cooler than usual! I love how easy it is to open and close, or to stop someplace in-between! Installation was done quickly too. I had Rollup install a 23 x 13 foot motorized awning this past summer. The install process went very smoothly, very professional staff. The awning is mounted very securely and sealed well. The electric hookup was simple as well, I used the electrician they recommended and it took all of 45 minutes. Gregg (sales manager) was very helpful in selecting the awning and pattern/color for the fabric. Everything was done within 2 weeks of the down payment. We couldn't be happier having full shade on our back deck.

Horrible company- regret buying from them. Dont believe warranties they offer- they do nothing. Awning was dropping and they tried to charge me $200 or $150 to come look at it. Seams then opened after 3 years and they are trying to charge me over 2k because its not covered. Oh and btw dont believe all their 5 star reviews on google- they send whoever gives them a positive review a $50.00 gift card.

Discovered Rollup awnings via their website and was very excited about it since this is exactly what I was looking for. Contacted them and got a call back from Ray. The man was very unpleasant. When I couldn't understand Ray's question he became nastier, so I asked if we could have a normal and pleasant conversation instead of being yelled at. Ray then hang up on me. Tried to be a client and failed.

Now Purchased awning 3 years ago. Now it needs service, called for service the lady was beyond rude. Said she would take my information and call me back. She never did I called back and she was even more nasty this time. Said she would take my info and call me back. I explained she did and said that the day before. Called the company for a quote to replace fabric on awning. Woman on the phone said she would call back shortly after I emailed pics of existing awning to her. Fast forward 3 weeks later with me making 2 more phone calls and another email, still no quote or even a simple call back. Guess they are too busy for courtesy.

I can't say enough about this company, this product, this installation and the customer service. From the selection to the install, everything went smoothly and we are delighted with our new awning. The quality of this awning far surpasses what we saw from others that we looked it. I'm sorry we waited so long to get it. However, I was told in the event of a power failure you can use a crank to manually close the awning. I found out after the fact that this crank is an option, its not included in the price of the awning.

When I built my house twenty+ years ago I bought a retractable awning from Rollup Awnings. Push a button and voila! Instant awning. As a kid growing up in Brooklyn, we had a cellar. To be able to eat outside with an Awning? My grandfather would have shed a tear. Over the years, the elements never tore the Awning but it did get ratty looking. My wife every year said it's time for a new fabric and last spring we decided to call Rolling Awnings for a replacement awning.
A salesperson came to our house with a large book containing fabric choices. We were told our color choice was no longer an option. My wife & I are easy when it comes to decorating, we both chose the same color which was similar to our original material. Once we placed the order the team came to the house to disassemble the awning. The crew was quick, efficient and once it was detached they said goodbye and will be in touch soon.
Two weekends later they arrived back at my house with a beautiful new awning. They reattached the fabric spool back to the central unit and when it was competed they told me to push the button. Out comes this beautiful new awning! My wife is happy, I'm happy and I think back to that cellar door slamming shut as a kid. I laugh as I sit outside under my new awning. I highly recommend Rollup Awnings, a professional Long Island organization with a superior product.

They installed a retractable, motorized awning a few years ago. They ruined our roof when it was installed and the awning sagged every year. At their mercy to level it out every year. And service prices increase every year. Horrible service and attitude that gets worse every year. Bad attitude, bad product, bad service. Spend your money elsewhere.

I called about their poor service and got yelled at and hung up on. I called back and "Judd" got on the phone and was even worse. Yelling and being condescending, rude and obnoxious. So unprofessional it was unreal. He told me to use the internet if I didn't like it, so I did. I wrote a negative but truthful review. About two hours later I received a phone call from the "owner and founder" of the company Ray Braun as he stated.
He threatened me stating that he forwarded my review to his attorney in Manhattan and that they will be filing suit against me early next week. Wow Is all I can say! I recorded the threatening phone call and forwarded it to my attorney. it is my opinion that this company clearly has no customer service skills and resorts to foul language and threats!

Very mean people work in this business! They don't want to help you if you have a problem with "their" merchandise! They don't want to hear anything you have to say, all they tell you is how expensive it is to fix your problem and how much work it takes to fix it, they make it sound like they are outside in 90° degree weather using a jackhammer!
I had a problem with them years ago, nothing has changed! They are Glad to take your money on install but won't ever correct a problem down the road without reaching into your pocket! I will NEVER use or recommend them to anyone again! Stay Away!@
