We are very happy we purchased a San Juan Pool almost five years ago, we use it all the time, looks great out back and it is so easy to maintain. I would strongly recommend San Juan and do to everybody that says how nice it is. We've been installing San Juan Fiberglass Pools since 2008 in Savannah, GA and absolutely LOVE this company! We love them so much we are an EXCLUSIVE dealer! San Juan Fiberglass Pools is the oldest manufacturer of fiberglass pool & spa swimming pools in the United States. We've been constructing fiberglass swimming pools since 1958 and are the leaders in fiberglass technology & innovation.

Since it's conception, our business has grown into a well governed nationwide organization with numerous manufacturing plants throughout the United States. Together with each plant's network of locally owned independent authorized San Juan dealers, they design and craft the most elegant fiberglass pools in America.
At San Juan Pools, we have the ability to create a wide array of fiberglass pools & spas. From long 40'+ fiberglass pools down to 5'-10' petite spas, we've got the largest selection of fiberglass inventory in the world! Ranging from rectangle shape, free form, oval, deep end, flat bottom and a whole array of options - it's all here!
From the marine industry we have learned that only Epoxy type resins are impervious to water. Vinyl Ester resins are made with many of the same products that go into epoxy. This is why all good boat builders and all good swimming pool builders use a Vinyl Ester resin for the layer of fiberglass next to the surface.
At San Juan Pools, we believe in one simple truth. Building the highest quality fiberglass swimming pools and spas - every time! This means more than just a slogan. It's a way of life for us and it all comes down to material selection and quality craftsmanship. Unlike other fiberglass manufacturers, San Juan Pools believes in using 100% hand laid fiberglass sheets.

I purchased and had installed a San Juan "Mirage" pool 2 years ago, the pool was delivered and installed with a crack at the bottom of the steps. I have called San Juan numerous times and can't even get them to return my call. The crack is getting progressively worse! I have been patiently waiting for 2 years! This is probably the worse purchase I've ever made! Not sure what my next step will be but I'm guessing legal action is the only way to address this issue.

Absolutely love the Barcelona pool, the sun deck is perfect for tanning or young kids to splash in a shallow area. Our children love the inner spa, so interactive to swim around and play. The creative spaces on this design make it so fun and more interactive than a square design. It almost has a lazy river feel from ramp entry around spa. Absolutely love this company and their innovative designs. Our pool stands out in our neighborhood. Best home reno investment we have ever made, turned our backyard into an oasis. Thank you!

Real Life Nightmare!. wish there was a zero star option. Terrible experience. San Juan regional representative, for Louisiana gave me an installer that wasn't licensed in Louisiana and from what I can gather wasn't actually the "real" rep for my area. this guy/company let the shell sit in my yard for over a year. The one time beautiful white shell developed stains and other unexplained discoloring in various areas.
I eventually had to call Louisiana Contractor Fraud to report the matter and get assurances I could move forward with a different installer. That just starts more fun, I call the "real" rep for my area and he questions how I obtained a San Juan Pool from someone other than him, I explained and he agreed to quote the install and stated that he would be calling the regional rep to see how this happen.
The "real" area rep, then prices the install at almost $25K higher than what my original contract was and this was with a reduction in features. I started searching other fiberglass pool companies asking all if they would be willing to price the install of my shell. This was a real challenge, but eventually someone agreed to install it. but this was at $20K above my original contract. Having exhausted all options, at this point I had to take a loan out to get the job complete. Note: Months ago, I emailed the Regional Rep the details to my experience and received absolutely no response/acknowledgement. I would love for San Juan corporate to come out and look at the problems, but doubt that will ever happen. I would think twice before ever using San Juan.

Today is the anniversary of when my San Juan pool was installed. Sitting by the pool, I realized that I never left a review. I absolutely adore my San Juan Fiberglass Pool! I have had my Mandalay Bay for over 15 years and have never experienced an issue with it! I love my backyard paradise and truly wouldn't change a thing. Best of all, my pool is still under factory warranty even after all this time. I couldn't be happier with the service provided by San Juan and their representatives.

Went to visit an independent dealer about a petite Crystal Springs Hybrid Pool/Spa in Fredericksburg VA. The gentleman I spoke with no idea what I was talking about and so I showed him in their catalog. I just wanted general information as this was my first visit to anyone. I thought this would be a conversation. I asked how backed up they were and if he could give me an idea of cost and time frame since he didn't have any pool details.
He left and came back with 6 brochures and said it would range between $85k and $120K and if I gave the deposit today 12/31/21 it would be about September when they could start. I certainly understand this commodity is backed up but there was zero conversation about what we wanted or where we lived or access to the site. There was a similar pool in size and shape outside on display.
I asked if that was a San Juan Pool and he said it was. I asked which one because I hadn't seen it and grabbed the brochure out of my hand flipped it over a couple times and said I don't know. Never offered anything else.

Do not believe the promise of quick install. We signed our contract in July of 2020. San Juan Authorized dealer said November installation. Made no move to do County permits Then on November 19 informed San Juan had delayed delivery until January 2021. In January they informed again pool install would be delayed. Pool arrived on March 15 2021 but had be placed on the street since authorized dealer had not dug hole.
Pull went in the ground on Saturday March 20th today is June 24th 3 months later and we have a green pipe sticking out from the ground which the authorized dealer is too busy to co.e to cut. We are yet to get salt in the pool and the dealer is non-commital. Acts like they are doing us a favor. When we call San Juan they send us to the sales rep. Being a San Juan authorized rep does not add assurance. Vet your contractor properly. We trusted the San Juan Authorized dealer label an now we are paying the price. Just sad. We do not recommend at all. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I give zero stars for any and all items warranty related. Marianne lies through her teeth and they stall and stall and stall. Kirk Sullivan never responds to correspondence. We had RED pool molding stuck all over our Granite Fiberglass. They even admit it is particles from their mold. Did nothing to help resolve it. Horrible Company, Terrible Ethics, Warranty has zero value.

We purchased a Desert Springs pool in Iridium Blue on 6/20/2016, the pool has since had cracking, and discoloration. We contacted them with no luck When we purchased the pool in June of 2016, the contractor installed the pool and scratched the pool, according to him there was a problem with the gel coat. A short time later we noticed a spot on the bottom of the pool.
We contacted their rep, Andy and have been trying to get a resolution for the past two years. I have text messages with the rep going back to June 2016, Oct 2019, was the last contact I had with him, where he came to the house to see the pool and the damage. I have sent the rep pictures of the damage and he has seen it first hand. The company sent a tech to repaint the stain once, but it came right back with others and now there are stress cracks.
I just would like the pool to look like it should and not have to continue to deal with terrible customer service and look at a pool with discoloration and cracks. It's sad the only positive review is from an installer, before you buy from this company look at their BBB status, a D-. I now have a pool with cracks and discoloration and no way to address it.
The installer was terrible, his guys showed up with alcohol, he continued to delay the install, installed the pool at the wrong grade and had a ton of excuses. A friend had a traditional pool twice the size built for the same cost as mine, and his still looks new while mine looks 20 years old.

Our pool was just put in the ground. Has not even been filled or back filled and has already cracked. The overall finish of the pool is not so great. There are areas that the finish is so thin you can see the base color through. For a company claiming to be the best in the industry, it is sad to say they have the worst quality control in manufacturing.
Should have gone with a concrete pool instead and may still do, since this top rated junk of fiberglass pool is not installed and paid for, it can easily be taken up and sent back to where ever they want.

My San Juan pool was installed 7 year its ago. During installation, water pressure caused a crack in the bottom. I paid extra for a special color and they sent a technician to repair it and after he left, it turned white. My color is a dark blue! Then there was a whole process for them to get back to fix it again, and again.white, not to mention draining the pool 3 times.
When you call, Maryanne made it sound like it is your fault, then there is a problem with the gel coat, then you have to wait till the chemist figures it out. It is a never ending nightmare. If you are wondering why I am writing after 7 years; I just found someone who paints fiberglass pools but San Juan refuses to sell the color to my painter so I have to settle for a different color on the bottom of my pool. If you don't have any issues, the pools are beautiful, but if ANYTHING needs repair, you are on your own!

Such a DISAPPOINTMENT and shame for San Juan not to stand behind their product after claiming they are the best of the best. No response from Owner/warranty person regarding the defective pool that was installed at my property less than a year ago! SHAME ON YOU! 1st pic has stains after 3 months.then after additional work the stains are back in the same locations with the same shape @sanjuanpools said it was a water chemistry issue.
The water has been tested monthly and all is fine! No one seems to care or stand behind their product. San Juan, "thanks" for sending technicians that drained the pool without installing braces for wall support and drilling holes in the new pool. Now I have bulging walls! And again Mr Kirk Sullivan, owner does not seem to care at all! according to the warranty information they have 10 year cosmetic warranty - my pool is less than 1 year old! Well there was a time when I thought they were great but have come to realize that the warranty person just tries to blow you off. my situation: shortly after the hurricane my pool developed a crack which I knew because the water was muddy when I tried to clean it I called and spoke with Maria in warranties and the first thing she said was that my insurance would have to cover the damage because it was because of the hurricane the pool was still full of water and they offered no one to come and check out the pool.
After contacting my insurance and them sending multiple people out they denied the claim after waiting 4 months by this time the water was down in the pool to about 2 feet and the sides had bulged and the crack had spread. when I finally was able to see the issue I found that the crack had began in a corner of the step that they had already repaired so I called and talked to warranties again and was told they would have to send someone out to see the crack and that they had no one because of all the other issues they were having so I sent them picture by this time the pool and floor had buckled and the crack is now about 18 inches long when I spoke with warranties again they said well the pool would have to be removed before they could even repair it even if it would be covered by the warranty because it was bulging all over and that I would have to pay to have it removed at more than 20000 dollars repaired and put back into the ground they say the repairs are 10X stronger than the new pool.
I have found that when they do repairs the surface of the pool is not the same and develops dark spots which are very visible on my white pool VERY DISAPPOINTED thought I was buying a almost maintenance free pool and ended up with a nightmare. I believe if they had come out in the beginning before the water completely drained out the pool would have maintained the original shape and not have to be removed because of bulging and buckling.

My rating for this product and company would be 0 stars or a big fat F. This fiberglass pool was not constructed with the appropriate materials in the coating process! This pool is only 2 years old and bubbled up and got black spots. This is called Osmosis explosion and is caused by the company watering down the coating of the shell to cut costs. This problem used to occur many years ago but someone invented a product to include in the coating process and it solved the problem.
All other fiberglass pool companies having corrected this issue over 15 years ago and are using the appropriate process in making these pools and have solved the problem. The company tried to tell me that it is a cosmetic issue and they will not cover it under the warranty. This is not a cosmetic issue but is an issue with the structural process in making the pool. Buyer beware! Do not buy this product.
