Buying a mattress is a very personal purchase. I love how they explain the basics and then step away. This allows the time and space to try out the different options without feeling any sales pressure. This is our second bed purchase from Slumberland in Fridley. We will definitely go back for any future furniture needs!

This was our second time going to the Coon Rapids Slumberland and both of our experiences have been absolutely amazing. We worked with Fred today and he was fun, funny, knowledgeable, and helped us get the best deal without feeling pressured to spend a ton of money. Would 10/10 recommend going to this store!

We had a very nice salesman Fred who helped us the entire time! He didn't rush us or push us to buy anything, greeted us almost right away and helped us find what we were looking for. Explained the process from start to finish and also gave us space to browse on our own. Very pleased with the experience

Receive my dining table scratch and dented. Call up the store and they said I bought as a clearance floor model. The thing is that no one told me I am buying a floor model. The store try to offered me $60 refund which was a slap in the face because the table set was well over $1000. At the end of long back-and-forth negotiation they offer me $120 refund which was still a slap in the face but I took it because it was the best option they gave me. This is a clear obvious "bait and switch" situation. This is the last time I'm shopping here. I hope Upper management read this and train their staff better.

We are very pleased with the service we got at Slumberland. Our sales associate was Pam. She's very friendly and knowledgeable. We needed a queen size bed for our guest room, so she showed us a few in our price range, and also some on sale. It was nice, because after showing us some and explaining the differences she left us alone to look around then came back. Clean store and will go back.

Let me first start by saying this: I've never publicly called out a company online. Also, If I could give negative stars on this review, I would. While amid the pandemic, I ordered furniture from inside this store. I was told it would be about 3-weeks for delivery. After 4 weeks, I called to check the status - The store manager answered and said it would be another 3-4 weeks and I could cancel it if I wanted. I'll just wait.
Fast forward 3 more weeks. I call again to check the status. Gentleman answers. Says it will likely be another 3-4 weeks and I said that I was told 3 weeks when it was ordered 7 weeks ago. With the sarcasm and hateful tones galore, he proceeds to inform me that "Well, I'm not sure if you're aware that there's a worldwide pandemic MAAM!
Sorry that this little thing called the coronavirus is disrupting your furniture delivery." I told him that I didn't need sarcasm or bs - I really just wanted to know what was going on with the furniture. He hung up on me. When I called back, he told me that I was cursing him out, he's yelling at me and over-the-top losing his mind about the way I treated him.
I told him to slow down as I have a disability which is evident by a severe speech impairment. He laughs. Mocks me. Continues to argue about my order, and yelling. I ended up cancelling. I asked for the manager and he told me he was the store manager and I couldn't talk to anyone else. I told him again "look, I'm disabled and I don't know what the issue is but I need to talk to someone else." He gave me the number to the regional office.
I called and left a message. Regional never called. Another gentleman from the store did who said he's the store manager. I asked why regional didn't and he says "I don't make the rules. This is our process." He apologized. Confirmed I got a refund. At this point, here's some advice - This company treats people with disabilities with inappropriate conduct.
They devalue their customers and even after are asked to stop, continue berating people. So, not only will I do everything in my power to make sure that people know your behavior is discriminatory and unprofessional, I hope that those reading this will too. The manager who thinks treating those who are less able than him with cruelty is Ian. Look him up. Rad guy.

HIGHLY DISPLEASED WITH MR GIBS CUSTOMER SERVICE! He gave me an incorrect date to have my 8 year old daughters hope up for her dresser and been over the two weeks he said and STILLLLLLLLLLL NOT GOING TO BE THERE UNTILL AFTER Tuesday which will put the order at over 20 days! You do NOT promise your customer anything if you can NOT FOLLOW through! I am so livid.
I am a partiall own of a restaurant should I promise people catering orders and then oh no the food didn't make it on time because of disrupting reasons but hey hang tight and you will get it when you get it. NO THAT IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS!

If you like waiting over 6 weeks for a couch, then this place is just for you! I ordered my couch on Labor Day Weekend, 9/2/18. They told me it would take about 3 weeks to get in, I say fine and still buy it. 4 weeks go by and no call from them. So I call them up for them to tell me it is in, but at the earliest, will take another 2 weeks for delivery, because they had other customers to deliver to, except the one customer who waited the longest! Finally, the couch gets delivered today, 10/10/18, only to not fit and must be returned!
So I call the manager to start my refund process, he takes my info but never returns my call. Still waiting for them to start my refund. that will take another 10 business days to return, if they do! Most companies will give you a discount or refund your money if the customer waits too long. not Slumberland, don't waste your time here!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here thanks to Ian Garner, the store manager. He greeted us the first time we walked in and was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. He wasn't high pressure, let us check things out, and answered all of our questions with patience and expertise. He informed us that they had a nationwide price match guarantee, and when it came time to make good on that promise, he did so with the same great customer service that he showed us when we made our initial purchase. We have never had a more enjoyable furniture shopping experience. Thank you, Ian!

Dean R I bought my two pieces of furniture a little over a year ago from the Manchester store in Ballwin. When purchasing the furniture I was recommended the warranty I was told it covered everything my main concern was the cushions would lose its form or go flat the salesman told me it would be covered under the warranty they do not turn you down for anything so I paid the extra money for the warranty.
So I called the claims office they set up appointment to have my furniture looked at a gentleman came out took pictures and sent them to the main office a week later they told me the warranty is no good it does not cover wear and tear I asked the lady why was I told that the warranty covers everything so I was denied my claim with a extended warranty I can't use and I was lied to at Slumberland Furniture I would not recommend Slumberland Furniture to anyone

Ask for Charles Scherrer to sell you a mattress - he is the best salesman I have ever worked with. He gave us a personalized assessment of how our backs and spines fit a mattress until we found the right one. My life partner has scoliosis and dorsal kyfosis and after only 20 mins on the mattress and his back doesn't hurt nearly as much (today). Best experience by far. Highly recommend him - honest, personable and very knowledgable on what you should experience for a mattress.

Returning item has been a nightmare. Apparently only certain "managers" can authorize a return. I bought a end table that was floor model. It didn't quite fit like we envisioned. I was told there was 30 day return policy. Took it back to the store--told a guy I needed to return something and he said the woman who handles returns would be back in about 15 minutes. Okay--I went over to Target--when I got back to Slumberland the woman told me she was not authorized to handle returns!
What the heck? Why didn't the first guy tell me that--he knew I was (trying to) return something. Now I have to schlep back to the store. So ridiculous--if the store is open--someone should be able to handle returns.

I've been to 5 furniture stores tonight. Each one a sales person greeted me and helped me as much as possible. My last stop was slumberland. As I walk in there was a few employees chatting, as I walk around the whole store looking for kids bedroom furniture I'm never greeted. I find it and they have the same bed set as Ashley expect they have a bundle package for a little cheaper I believe it came down to me saving 80 dollars. Stood there for 15 mins finally for inpatient walked to the front and asked the lady at the desk is any sales people working tonight.
She said yea but there with another customer. So the whole store they only have 1 person to help me? And I was there before these people and the lady telling me was very rude about it. I'll be returning to Ashley's and pay the extra for a company that actually wants my business Decent selection but customer service was by far the worst Better off at Ashley, Rothmans, Value city, weekends or hubs furniture

Our initial sales experience was fine, and we got a really good deal on a queen sleeper and futon. Most of our furniture arrived in a timely manner, except one piece was delayed. And delayed. Then arrived with missing hardware. This could have been a really terrible situation (and honestly, it was a little frustrating), but the staff at this particular store was professional and the store manager explained to us what was happening, even offering to give us a partial refund for our wait and reimburse us if we decided to try and get the required hardware ourselves at Lowe's or Home Depot. Now, this is customer service. They showed they wanted to retain our business and worked to resolve our issue as best they could. We will gladly return for our future furnishing needs. UPDATE: Mike, the owner of Slumberland, contacted me and asked me to call him concerning the issue we had with their service. I was given his personal phone number and called him today. He was unbelievably nice and truly concerned with the experience we had. His main goal was to make us happy and to find a way to prevent it from happening to another of his customers.
As I told Mike, we didn't want anything from him, we just wanted to help him out. Mike is an amazing businessman and a very kind person. Because of his focus on his employees and customers, we are definitely going to give them another chance. If you are in the market for furniture, please check out Slumberland. And, if you have any issues, make sure you ask to speak to Mike. I can guarantee he will do what he can to make it right.
