Quite often people complain to businesses when the don't get the service they expected, but not often enough do businesses receive good feedback when businesses have employees that exceed our expectations and make us keep coming back as customers. Joey Hendershot helped my family in such a big way. My mom is 77 and needed to have her porch repaired immediately.

It is employees such as Joey that are so courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and professional, that keep customers coming back. I recently needed eight Marvin windows adjusted and one sash replaced and my experience with Senior Service Technician Jeff Leip was outstanding. With the supply chain issues we all face today Jeff was persistent and made sure the correct supplies were shipped and arrived. He showed up on time and did an excellent job fixing all my windows. He worked without a break until the job was finished while answering all my questions. Jeff is a highly skilled professional and is a true asset to this company. I recommend the Hamilton Building Supply company to family, friends and anyone for any window work your home may need.

I keep going back for whatever I need. Professional and friendly service. I have bought all my lumber, windows, interior and exterior doors, siding, and a lot of miscellaneous items. If you can get it there, buy it there. Fair prices and way better quality than big box stores. If you want a quality job, have to use quality products.

I needed some dimensional lumber, plywood and trims for a small project, and sourcing this from home depot proved a frustrating exercise (especially if you don't own a truck). I assumed HBS catered only to the professionals, but I decided to pop in to see if they'd help a residential DIY-er like myself. The staff when I arrived seemed really busy, but I didn't have to wait long, and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

Delivery was fast (and really affordable compared to the big box stores), and they even helped me select more suitable moldings than the ones I'd have picked myself at HD. The prices are a little higher than the box stores, but the quality is good, and absolutely worth it for the customer service. Thanks!

Liza was the designer who worked with me tirelessly on a new construction build for my kitchen, master bathroom, and mudroom areas. She was TOP NOTCH! I loved everything about her. Liza was incredibly knowledgeable about my spaces inside and out, current styles and trends; my people only wanted to speak and deal with her directly because of this! She went way above and beyond countless times for me to be helpful. Liza even did things for me that were out of her scope completely, just in the name of EXCELLENT customer service.

She was incredibly responsive, communicated very clearly, and never lost her patience with my many changes. I loved working with her, and in the future, I'll call Liza as soon as we need anything further. Liza is best designer ever! It was a superb experience with Hamilton Building Supply!

I came to Hamilton Building Supply specifically for kitchen cabinetry. I had spoken with a few contractors and some recommended the big box stores but I didn't feel comfortable about the product's quality they were recommending. I easily made an appointment with one of their designers and gave her the measurements of the kitchen prior to our meeting.

When I walked in the door, the designer had a suggested layout and potential options ready for me! She spent over an hour looking at cabinets, molding, door styles and colors. I felt educated and never rushed. Once we were ready to order, the designer came out to meet with the contractor and I for final measurement validation and review the smaller details for installation.

From design, to purchase, to delivery the process was communicated well and efficient. After our installation I wanted to order additional products and needed to make a small change to a cabinet, the company was very helpful on both and all items were delivered to my home in a timely fashion. I actually am excited about another home renovation project thanks to HBS, and look forward to working with them again.

A quality independent full service building supply business. Very knowledgeable staff, and lumber quality that not only surpasses that of the 'big box' stores but has consistent availability. Counter staff will answer all questions, and unlike many (but not all) big box store employees, these guys have many years of experience dealing with competent tradesmen (they were not selling French Fries last week at a fast food store). Not always convenient, but always offer quality and informed service.

Just recently I visited Hamilton Supply Company in Hamilton Square NJ. As a quick look, I was born and raised in this area and frequently purchased building supplies from this main location. As with others, I had moved away but was back at the location in early August 2018. I wanted to openly compliment Miguel Cardona, the Yard Manager, for the transformation of the physical site over the past few years.

The organization of the yard, the cleanliness of all the area's, and the attention to service has improved immensely. The company and its image changed dramatically. Again, I just wanted to publicly mention that in my view, this has made a huge difference to their overall brand. For me, it is more inviting to enter and also quicker to move in and out due to the organization.

My "hat is off" to Miguel and his leadership with his team to present Hamilton Supply to their customers as serious and committed. I was definitely impressed with Miguel's hard work along side his colleagues.

After searching for a place where I can buy a solid door and have it custom-cut, I was fortunate enough to find Hamilton Building Supply. I went right over to the store and explained to the staff that I needed the custom-cut door immediately due to my feuding pets at home. I needed to keep them separated. The gentlemen took my situation seriously and helped me choose a door that fit my needs that was in stock.

The carpenter there was able to quickly fit me in and efficiently cut my door to my specifications. He put the door on his shoulder, carried it to my vehicle, and placed it in my truck for me. What a sweetheart! Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely use them in the future.

After almost 3 weeks of trying to get the right person to call me. I was told there is a $125 charge for the estimates on fix/replace windows? really!

I regret overlooking this business in favor of the big box hardware stores. It's location is close to me but in an industrial area that does not get a lot of passerby's. In fact I usually only remember it is here when time is short and I need one item. Once this happened on a Saturday afternoon and when I arrived they were already closed.

And I also know from experience that they are not even open on Sundays. On this visit I required some shoe moulding and was amazed at the ease in which I was able to acquire it. As you enter there is a large desk with multiple employees to assist. I told the gentleman what I needed and then said I was browsing for a few minutes. I actually was comparing some hardware items I had purchased elsewhere, I noticed a great selection of cabinet and drawer pulls.

But with no pricing it was not clear how economical they would have been. There is a cabinet and countertop showroom here as well, again I had the what if thought. After a few minutes and the realization that I left out a good option in my home improvement projects I went back to desk and paid my few $'s. I was handed an invoice and told to drive through the main gate and proceed to building 2( maybe 4-5 small buildings each housing various supplies) this specific building had way more types of moulding than you would ever find at the big names.

I handed my paper to one of the friendly gentlemen and was handed my lumber quickly. If I had not browsed I would have been in and out in less than 5. I hope area residents take advantage of this resource. It seems to be staffed by knowledgeable and friendly folks who will leave you wondering why you ever went elsewhere. 4.25 staying local Yelps

As a remodeling contractor I've been dealing with Hamilton Supply for many years. They are very knowledgeable of the products they sell and offer prompt delivery. Most of the top contractors in Mercer County deal with Hamilton Supply.

We started working with Hamilton Building Supply in January of this year on cabinets for our kitchen remodel. At the same time, as we understand it, they laid off 2 of their 3 designers. The one we ended up working with was so overworked, that she was never able to give adequate attention to our design. As a result, we lost several weeks in delays and had to continually go over details again about our appliances, measurements, etc., which she was challenged to keep straight.

At one point, we complained to the President, Keith Coleman, who got back to us in a voice message putting the cause for delay on us! I also filed a complaint with the BBB at that time, looking for an apology, and a discount; neither of which came. So, the cabinets didn't arrive till the 2nd week of August! And, the problems continued. There were missing parts - no island trim pieces, no scribe pieces for cabinet ends, they came with oil rubbed bronze hinges, when we ordered concealed hinges - which Hamilton ended up replacing at my home over 4 nights, dispatching 2 guys to replace all the hinges, while we went out to dinner, since we had no kitchen, and, the cabinet over the stove was too big - because of the designers faulty measurements, and had to be rushed ordered to finish the kitchen; causing another week's delay.

We complained again directly to Keith Coleman, this time getting him on the phone. He claimed to not be familiar with our order! - after spending $1,000 in labor replacing all our hinges. This was while we were demanding speedy turnaround on the new upper cabinet for over the stove. He promised to call back to let us know what they were doing to satisfy us, but, he never did. We've done considerable business with this company over the years, but, after this experience, never again. Be forewarned if you plan on working with this company.

I had a dispute with Hamilton Supply and I feel they do not stand behind their products. I had Hamilton Supply design and sell me Kitchen cabinets. They were professionally installed. About 6 weeks after installation a shelf failed and we lost all of our fine china. I had to take them to court and all they ever offered was that it was the manufactures problem not theirs.

While this may be true, Hamilton Supply contracted with the manufacturer and should have helped me instead of telling me it was my problem not theirs. I cannot think of worse customer service than what they gave me. I have been a customer of theirs for years, and feel that they really let down the customer on this one.

Hardware store with big selection of building supplies. They also carry grade A lumber. Hundreds of moldings to select from. Windows, doors, you name it they carry it. Prices higher then your Home Depot but the products which they carry are of a higher quality. Delivery available.
