Granite & Marble Works

Cancelled our project for no reason. We made an appointment, visited their showroom, and didn't find what we were looking for. We were told they had more black soapstone coming, and so we waited 2 months. We came in to see it, within a week of being notified, found the perfect slab, and signed the estimate the next day. One day after we signed and were putting down the deposit, they called us to tell us they were cancelling our order, that they were "understaffed and overbooked." We also were told that while we were within their installation area, we were at the very edge. (They had our address from the very beginning.) We lost 2 months on our project and were left shuffling around to find new materials with a tight turnaround - not ideal.

I've heard they had to cancel many other contracts. Highly unprofessional. They must cherrypick who they work with based on location and how much you are spending. Proceed with caution. They seemed very nice at the beginning; we were really in shock and felt we lost time and ultimately were forced to make rushed decisions.

A month ago we stopped in at Granite and Marble on the recommendation of a friend. One of the owners Mike graciously let us in, even though he was getting ready to close up for the afternoon. We found the perfect quartzite counter in their massive showroom. So perfect in fact I designed my entire kitchen around it. Mike put us in touch with Kyle. From then on I promptly emailed measurements and drawings, waivers and anything else they required for the job.

I went in and paid in full in cash. After multiple unreturned calls and having to postpone due to illness in their office we finally scheduled for them to come measure for the template. The next day I received an email from the owner Margaret. She was cancelling our job and mailing me a check. Her reason being she felt things had gotten combative with their office.

All I had done was asked for better communication as I had a lot of workers scheduled based on the counter installation. She didn't contact me directly to resolve any issues. No we are 5 weeks out with no counter and no answer. To say we are disappointed, angry and confused is an understatement. I will be filing a formal complaint and you can be sure I won't be referring anybody.

I was working with Margaret, she was very rude, very unprofessional and the whole demeanor was so off! I'm trying to spend money to make my home better, I've got no problem spending the money that is needed and to put the work into it, but when I'm dealing with someone who makes me feel unwelcomed and like it's a waste of my time and being insulted the whole time, I'll take my business elsewhere. The whole experience was horrible, and I wouldn't recommend her nor this company to ANYONE, not even someone I HATED. This was all around the worse experience I've ever had!

Disappointed. I called and spoke to Margaret last March(some 9 months ago).Asked for an estimate, and she asked for some photos and rough measurements, which we forwarded over the next couple of days. No response.2 to 3 months later I called and spoke to someone else as Margaret was not available, and she assured me that the photos had been received and verified our contact information. Again, no response. Disappointing as the previous owners of our home had work done by Granite and Marble Works, and we were impressed with the quality of the installation.

We have never posted a negative review of any business, especially having been in business ourselves for many years. However communication is key to not only being successful, but also to being respected. Needless to say someone else is installing our new granite countertops later this week.

As return customers we were beyond disappointed when we were told we could bring our business elsewhere after going through the process of measuring and choosing a slab. Margaret was extrememly rude to my husband after he made inquiries regarding proceeding with the process. We worked with this company years ago and Mike was wonderful to us but customer service has changed.

I was very impressed with Granite and Marble works. Their selection was excellent and laid out in a fashion that made it easy to find what you were looking for. The sales people and front office were very friendly and worked with you to help you make the best selection. The pricing, process to get it done and timing to complete were all very clear and accurate.

I have been to many such places like this, but Granite & Marble seem to be a notch above all the others. Thanks for a great job and we are very satisfied with our finished bath!

My daughter and I visited their business and the customer service could have not been any worse. Margaret the owner was beyond rude to both myself and my daughter from the minute we entered the door till we left. If you want good customer service and a good experience go elsewhere. There are other places to go with better treatment and prices. FYI you can't even pick the piece of stone you want once you find it if they have multiples, you have to take the first slab on the top and as we all know with God created stone it's all a bit different.

That's the beauty of it! So again if you want kindness and the exact material and job you want this is not the place. Can you believe as an owner she told us to go elsewhere because we wanted to see another slab? Who does that? And what kind of customer service is that? Do yourself a favor and visit a well ran kind business.

We decided to renovate our kitchen during the pandemic. What were we thinking?! Couldn't be happier with Granite and Marble Works. Thank you to Margaret Roohan for all her professional help! From start to finish everyone was very helpful as we were unsure which product to get for our countertops.granite or quartz. They let us take our time with our decision, gave helpful suggestions and kept us informed of the timeline for measurement and installation.

The granite we chose looks awesome with our cabinets and backsplash. The cuts were made in the perfect places on the slab to continue the flow of the pattern and the installers were professional and friendly. And we appreciated everyone being very conscious of the pandemic wearing masks and social distancing. Thanks for a great experience! and we love our new countertops!

From picking out our granite from the thousands of full size slabs to the installation this is the best company to deal with. The staff is friendly and helps you understand the whole process. They gave me a date a week ahead of time and they showed up at 8:30 in the morning and the job was completed with the new counter tops and all the plumbing hooked back up by 4. It is nice to deal with a company that does exactly what they say they are doing to do. I highly recommend Granite & Marble works.

My husband and I had a really wonderful experience with Granite & Marble Works. (We were working closely with Melanie and she was fabulous!) All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and were always available to answer my many questions. We love their huge showroom and there were several options that would have been perfect for our kitchen. (Best selection in the area!) We went with Cosmic Gold granite and it went perfect with our new cherry cabinets!

The installers did a perfect job, especially with the seams, and everyone we worked with was professional and efficient. The pricing was also very fair! We will absolutely be using them in the future - highly recommend!

We recently had a bathroom vanity top installed at our home. The staff at the main office was very helpful in our selection of a quartz material and sink. The installer was very professional and safety conscious. The product was exactly what we wanted and fit perfectly. We recommend this business for their expertise and personal service.

A very professional company to do business with. They have a large slate ( stone joke) of materials to choose from. Christine was a sales rep and continued to give great customer service throughout the entire process. Very impressed with the installation crew extending every courtesy they could. Aided with additional cabinet installation and new trim under new counter top ( supplied by me). The quality of their work is without question excellent. Pricing was equal to level of product and service!

Nice selection of material, great assistance in picking out counter top, installation went smoothly and everyone was very professional. We selected a leathered granite material - it is beautiful. The attached picture does not show the real beauty of the stone. Great job!

King Brothers Builders sent us to Granite & Marble Works. We were not disappointed. From the beginning right through the installation, the sale was handled professionally and creatively. Mike came out to measure and offered sink options and other suggestions. We did go back to the showroom to mark out where we would like the marble to be cut. This was suggested by the staff and definitely worth the time (20 minutes). George and Chris we fabulous at installing the counter, making adjustments where necessary.

They foresaw a problem with our floor installation and suggested how we might handle it. They even offered to put back our old counter top if we wanted to wait until the floor was installed. They were so patient. We could not be happier with the service and quality we received from Granite & Marble Works.
