I've ordered from Anchor Hardwoods a few times and they are awesome to work with. Their lumber and customer service both exceeded my expectations and have really helped me transition my projects from softwoods from big box suppliers to NC sourced hardwoods. I was really intimidated to visit their store because I don't know very much about lumber but they didn't shame me or take me for a ride based on my rookie knowledge. Just good hard working people who bring quality lumber to the coast!

We had been looking for a slab of wood to use for a live edge sink in our new bathroom. We looked at a few places around town and nothing. I did a quick internet search and found this place so we stopped by. So thankful we did! We immediately were greeted by a women in the front that let us go right in the back and look through all the wood slabs they had.

There was such a great variety! From light colors to dark, and different lengths and widths for any wood project! We chose a lighter white oak that was native to North Carolina! Such an awesome find and to be able to say that the wood is apart of North Carolina was the cherry on top. We were so thrilled. Our bathroom came out perfect and everyone always compliments us on our live edge sink!

On a trip to Wilmington to visit family, I decided to source some exotic wood while in the area and found Anchor Hardwoods. I walked in and was given a friendly greeting and a quick tour of the shop and what was where. I found several boards of excellent straightness (Marblewood, Leopardwood, Canarywood). Really cool stuff in there and great people!

I stopped in after making a pickup at the local Granger store down the road and I had never seen this supplier before. I just got to say their selection and their cuts are excellent their prices are absolutely fair and I can't wait to go back and start a project after I get some work done for other people. What a cool place. Nice selection of exotic and domestic woods. Very reasonable prices and friendly, helpful staff. Dave obviously has a love for wood and we enjoyed sharing that with him as we looked over the different pieces. We will definitely be back!

We were fortunate enough to work with Bill Moore at Anchor Hardwoods for a fireplace mantle in our home. His shop is that of a true craftsman with an assortment of beautiful woods to examine. Bill and team did a wonderful job with our selection. He even facilitated custom made iron corbels with one of his local contacts.
