These flat stones come in many different thicknesses to accommodate a wide variety of possible applications. The different colors, types, and sizes of material available are so vast it is almost impossible to not find the perfect fit for your project.
At Empire Stone Company, our boulders are perfect for doing simple tasks like: holding back dirt, adding dimension to flat areas, or creating stunning water features! These stones are a simple way to add major impact in your landscape. Our Basalt Columns are perfect for adding personality as benches, standing monoliths, or towering water features.
When it comes to simple, nothing beats a thin veneer for installation. Cut 3/4" to 1 " thick, we can help you find the thin veneer to fit into just about any masonry project. The thin natural stone provides the aesthetics of the full bed depth veneers with out the weight. Thin veneer is cut from real stone.
They are products of a rare volcanic occurrence. Feather Rock is formed by molten lava flow, where trapped air escaped during the cooling stage. The result is a very porous stone - rugged in appearance, light in weight and enduring in character. Beyond its uniqueness and natural beauty, Feather Rock provides both material and working cost advantages.

Beautiful grounds and I was able to get better river rock than I'd hoped for. I was also able to get enough stone to make a border around my yard. They made it easy to pick out what I wanted without buying the entire bundle. Still a work in progress, but they helped make it fun. Super friendly and I can't wait to go back!

Hired a paving company who recommended we go over to look at the pavers and we had a lot of fun looking around and everyone was amazing here. The customer service is the absolute best. Very friendly, and everyone seemed to get along like a big family. We ended up doing a large order for pavers with our contractor arranging the order and pick up. We still need to do the gardening and some other work around our home. Looking forward to working with them in the future when we do our front yard. Amazing company!

My customer service rating is extremely high with Empire stone! I am constantly in there looking for ideas, but one such employee definitely stands out! Josh Folk. Seems like he never takes a day off, but he offers such great ideas and has no issues showcasing his merchandise. Thank you Josh for such great customer service.

Outstanding customer service, drivers are courteous and skilled at delivering many pallets of rock right where you want them, always ask if we need help when in the yard looking. Selection is excellent.

Not the worst service as listed in another review but definitely not customer focused. I appreciate the focus on the bottom line but it's a tough way to loose a repeat customer over a $11, 15% restock fee after possible return was discussed at the time of purchase. I found the tiny sign at the other register that signaled the fee. Please be aware as documentation of restock fee is not listed on invoice and is not conspicuous in store.

Their customer service is the best. Errors happen, and after we hand moved over a thousand pavers to a backyard, we discovered there had been a mix-up in the amount for the different sizes. As soon as we notified the company, within minutes Colby was sent out to pick up pavers from the backyard and bring in the correct amount. He worked hard with no complaints to get it done and everyone at the office could not have made it easier for us. Ella was great to work with. I don't normally write reviews, however I appreciate such good customer service! I will only go there for stone products in the future.

I went in looking for rock to do a basin around my fountain. The owner greeted me and sent me to the back to the "bone yard". I found exactly what I needed and he only charged me $15.00! I loved the rock so much I came back today and got another load of rock and we also purchased cowboy coffee quartz for a walkway. The prices are fabulous and the customer service is pretty hard to beat! Worth the trip, you definitely will find what you need there!

Super easy to work with. I walked in and was met by a helpful person. He walked me through what he thought was best for my project and the amt of rocks I needed. I paid and was out the door within 20 mins. Delivery was next day and spot on with arrival time. Very happy with the whole experience and project looks great!

Worst customer service ever. I received a "Notice of Right to Lien" on my house from Empire Stone on a Friday night, certified mail, after the business was closed. I had no idea what was going on since I hadn't purchased anything from them. After many hours and many stressful phone calls with multiple companies I finally find out this has nothing to do with me or my house. Empire Stone received an order on a new build house.

Since the contractor didn't have a physical address for delivery (since it's a new build), he gave my address as I live across the street from the construction site for the delivery. Empire Stone then attached the bill to my address with no name. Apparently, bill wasn't paid and they sent it onto another company to send out the "Notice of Right to Lien".

That company Google searched the address, came up with the owners name and suddenly I'm the one who owes the money. I called Empire Stone to tell them there mistake. I spoke to Melissa who was in charge of this fiasco. She was so incredibly rude to me. Told me she wouldn't apologize for the mistake. That there company was "too busy" to look into who owns a house when an order is placed, and apparently too busy to get a name for the order.

That she simply writes down the delivery address and that's all she has time for because "our city is growing so fast and there is so much construction going on". I told her she literally wasn't doing her due diligence. She continued to argue with me and tell me she wouldn't apologize and it's the fault of the company they hired to send out the letter.

She stated there would be a revision letter coming in the mail to me from the hired company, and THAT would be my apology. Empire Stone is apparently too busy for good customer service, said in their own words. Even if you aren't there customer, you may end up with a bill or a Lien on your house. This company will NEVER get my ACTUAL business. Melissa is a miserable person, with the worst customer service imaginable.

These guys do a great job. I purchased some boulders from them, 5,000+ lbs. They were able to place them quickly, efficiently and safely. The staff members were very helpful from start to finish, and had great attitudes. I recommend Empire Stone highly and they have earned my future business!

Exceptional service and product. They carry the pavers I need at a fair price and provide superior customer service. Admittedly, I'm a difficult customer, for while I can do the work, I don't always speak the industry language. Brian and the team managed to work around my communication issues and make sure I got the product I needed, in the correct quantity, delivered on time at a good price. We get all our product here. Sometimes it's a bit less than others, sometimes a bit more, but the service is always exceptional, making Empire Stone our go-to choice.

Natural stone of all kinds from ledgestone to veneer to over-sized slabs to flagstone to river rock to boulders to sand and gravel. If you're looking for lots of stone for a big project, like facing a house exterior on inside fireplace or creating landscape - hardscape, this is a great place to come peruse the options. If you're looking for a small amount of stone for something simpler, ditto.

You can even walk about the stone yard and pick out the "just so" pieces if you're doing a very small project. We think one of the coolest things they do here is provide "bird bath rocks". Boulders from small to large which are split, either naturally or on purpose, which can be drilled out with irrigation piping added in the setting of your yard to create a very natural looking little bubbling water feature that birds will love.

From song birds to ground birds, like quail, the one we put in among landscaping leading to our front door gets a great workout from birds (and rabbits and squirrels) and the water sound is welcoming for human visitors too. A not so expensive thing to do when planned into landscape and the return is so worth it. Empire Stone also makes stone garden benches out of natural stone materials, each of which is unique. They typically have a couple at the store to look at and can make them to order as well. Very friendly and helpful people work here.
