The folks are really nice, the selection is good, and the service was quick. I went for mulch and they had 3 different colors available (red, brown, and black).

Went and bought 5 bags of river rock. They gave me three bags that were the right size. A two bags that were the wrong size. But it's close to home so I went ahead and gave them four stars.

Umm. I guess in a pinch this place is ok, my boss used them for material. However, my take is that they are not that honest. They told me that I had to pick up all the material paid for or else the money would be lost. "They could not hold a ticket for more than one day." Not to mention they never weighed any of my alleged 2 tons of pea gravel. They seemed expensive $164 for an alleged 2 tons(they said = 6 scoops on a skidsteer). The staff was polite and even helpful.

I own 3 rental properties in Highland Park and was looking for some soil. I found Morris Co. by accident and like someone else said, I must have driven past this place 1 million times (not really, but you get my drift). They are located on the other side of the bridge from Bolner's Meat Market and tucked away. They sell all sorts of soils, mulch, stones, cement mix, OLD school cement bags.you name it, for yardwork and landscaping, and they have it.

I also like it because it reminds me of the "REAL" San Antonio. I think they said they've been around for 80 years or so. Very nice and professional and friendly. This is the "REAL" San Antonio, not the newer stuff sprouting up around 1604, etc.

Great location for the d.i.y weekend warrior. I this is the place I get almost all my garden essentials. Mulch, compost, gravel, sand. They also carry cement mix bagged that makes my projects with ease. They have friendly staff which is nice when you have questions and they know there stuff. They also have delivery! This is awesome by the way. The rates are reasonable and they aren't over priced like other sellers. I heard about them through a friend and only go to morris co. now. Thanks for being a great place for the weekend warrior.

When we have a project In the yard. It's best to go to Morris for the pool we needed plenty of sand. Morris has it and they scoop it and dump it in your truck bed. Best buying so many bags at Home Depot and waste so much time waiting. Another year we decided to take out all the grass and get sand and small rocks. Went to Morris again. Friendly people always helpful.

We had to go back several times asked for more and we were out of there fast. We send people who ask where we get out material. They never knew we had Morris in the neighborhood.

We're inside loop 410 and wanted materials for a landscaping project. Their materials were closer to my house to go look at/talk to them, comparable, no nonsense, closer and less expensive for truck delivery, customer service just fine. Would buy from again.

As a downtown San Antonio homeowner I am always working on my yard. I recently discovered a local family owned business on South Presse which I have passed a 1000 times but never stopped. I stopped there today looking for some advice before I purchased soil for my backyard. I received nothing but excellent service and immediate delivery. They were very affordable and took the time to listen to my yard problem and helped me come up with a great solution. Next time you're looking for topsoil, mulch, compost or anything for your yard I would give them a try http://www.samorrisco.com
