This was the worst building experience I've ever had. Hands down. I don't think they ever once did what they said they would do the first time they said they would do it. Eventually they got the project done of course, but seriously every time they said people or materials were going to arrive it didn't happen. I have a whole string of texts to show over and over.
We gave a deposit and signed the contracts on September 1 2020. He said he thought they should be able to get started on the project by Mid to end of October and that once they started it would take about two weeks to complete. The completion date on the contract was for 12/1/2020. The contract also said they would start within 60 days (approx 11/1/2020).
I kept checking in and Keith kept telling me they were about to wrap up another project and that they would be starting in a couple weeks. Kept pushing it out over and over. They finally started the project on 12/5. They literally didn't start the project until after the contract completion date. Starting so late cost me a lot more on the project.
I had to rent insulated blankets for a month to keep the ground from freezing. We couldn't keep it all from freezing, so ended up having to rent a concrete breaker to break up the frozen ground to prep for the slab. Pouring concrete in December was quite a bit more expensive. Keith had told me (verbally) that they would have a skid steer out there anyway and since it was so small they could just scrape the surface for the concrete. Needless to say, they didn't.
So by the 7th or so of December I had poles in the ground and concrete poured. And off to another round after round of hounding to see when materials were coming, and when people were coming. And round after round of either no response or things that I was told would happen didn't. So what should have been 2 weeks after the project started turned into months again.
The project was finally completed on March 31. Almost 6 months from the time I started working with them. I would absolutely not recommend working with this business at all. EVER. Don't walk, RUN away.

Bad experience. I hired them the first part of August. I was told my 34x24 pole barn would be done that October. All they had to do was set the posts, frame two overhead door openings and put up the metal siding. I asked the owner the 3rd week of October. He said the following week. I had a generator sitting on site the entire month of October. It was a waste.
I had concrete flooring scheduled in November. I had to reschedule. The end of November they finally delivered 4 posts. Ever since, I've been told tomorrow. Unfortunately, tomorrow never comes. I've have been told several completion dates. They even put up damaged sheets of metal, knowing that they would have to replace them. The quality is way below par, but at this time I just want it finished It's now the end of August(a year later) and the building still isn't done.
I've had to reschedule my overhead door installers numerous times. Now, I have to hire a contractor that can finish the building. My insulator and garage door installers won't put me on their schedule anymore, until they visually see that the building is ready.

KB Building Supply ordered supplies for us over a year ago and will not pay there bill, we have been very accommodating in working out a payment plan they agree to but never follow through, payments have not been received (the checks in the mail). They deserve a 0 rating if anyone does business with this company has to be a fool. its unfortunate you have to give them any type of rating to post this they deserve a 0

We hired KB to frame and roof a barn and I have to say (as I do project management for a living) this was not a great experience. Although the construction quality was okay at best the company was horrible to work with. From the beginning the communication around the project was painful. Multiple times I requested full construction drawings, which I never received.
This very simple project started May 11 and I was told that it would be 5-8 days for completion, they finally finished the project on June 14th. Multiple times I left messages and emails at the office (as I didn't have a cell number for the GC) for an update and rarely got a timely response. When I did get a response I was told that the project would be done that week.which I heard for 4 straight weeks.
The final time I did actually get thru to Tom, who was managing the project, and he actually asked me "what does it matter to you when we get it done?" and then hung up on me mid-conversation. Again, the construction quality wasn't that poor (some posts weren't 100% plum) but the company's customer service and communication was horrible and often rude.
We were excited to enjoy the process of building our barn and working with this company wasn't easy or enjoyable. I won't be using or recommending this company for any future projects.

Worst quality of work I have ever seen. They built a pole barn and is still not completed a year later. Installed all water lines for the barn at 2 feet instead of 6 feet all the hydrants they installed were not even half deep enough. All tin on roof is dented not one square cut on the entire building. Wouldn't have these guys build a birdhouse for a 3 week bird. I feel like one star is too much for them. Owner won't own up to a thing. Don't waste your time calling these guys!

I have been on a project where I had to attempt to fix things they claimed they did and did not do. For example, strip the top soil from the building site in which that could not be fixed. Install the poles for the structure poured in a footing which we went in and poured exterior footings which is also how I discovered that they did not strip the top soil from the building footprint. 0 stars

We keep coming back, but set aside a LOT of time between when you put down the deposit and the project is finally finished. Months. We have routinely found that they will take 6+ months between first order and finished product. Having said that, we have 3 three-sided livestock sheds that KB build in 1990 and 2000, 15 years old, and they are all in terrific shape. Cattle, horses, pigs- all are used 8-12 months a year by some class of livestock, and all the sheds are in the same condition in which they arrived.
These sheds are built to last, even in our horrific winter winds (just make sure they're staked down on the day they arrive- they roll and fly if the wind catches them wrong without staking). We like KB, and have ordered 6 sheds, 1 large hay shed, and 1 barn from them. Happy with everything but delivery promptness.

These guys are the best in the business! We had our tiny home moved by them and they really went above and beyond in every way. When a problem arose, their expertise and creativity in finding a solution really proved to be invaluable. This move was not an easy task as it was a large building, out of town, up a hill, in the mud. Sam and Kevin were not only professional, but knowledgeable and patient. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a well-built shed, or to assist in your move. The turnaround time was within a few days.

Worst experience ever. Ordered a pole building in September scheduled to be erected in 2014. After much pressure, in February of 2015 the building was finally erected. However, roughly 10 of the set posts were not set level, slider door wheels were not fastened, walk through doors were not installed level, door strikers were not installed, tin on the building was dented and damaged due to ladders, one wall has a distinct bulge from posts not being level, appearance of roof trim is cosmetically unappealing, and many other little cosmetic issues are present.
After the build, A review was posted to Facebook similar to this one, and the owner himself called my house and requested the review be taken down as he considered it slandering. If I could give this company 0 stars I would.
