One of my garage doors would only close halfway then return to the open position and only occur during the hot afternoons. Ray came out and inspected the opener and confirmed that all components were in working condition but the laser sensors were being triggered by either the sun or some other reflection. He moved them so they were protected but any intereference and serviced and cleaned the other parts.
It is now working like new. My cost was for only for the service charge I was quoted. This company has honest reliable and competent employees and I highly recomemend them. Thank you Ray!

Needed my garage door (2 car door) repaired or replaced. I was given an over the phone estimate based on what I thought was wrong. I got a next day appointment, and Roel showed up to check things out. Not only was he able to save my garage door (and he didn't try to up-sale me into a new door), but he was even able to save me money when he said not all my parts needed to be replaced.
I was able to keep my spring, and he tightened it up saving me about $100 off of the over the phone estimate I was given. I really appreciated the honesty and professionalism Roel showed me on this call, and the timely fashion in which he repaired my door. It was refreshing to see a business that cared more about the customer, than how much they could squeeze out of my wallet. My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner.

Brian installed my new garage doors a week or so ago. i wanted to let you know he did an outstanding job! he is obviously highly skilled at his work. i so appreciate that he was not rushed and took the time to do it right. He also addressed an air gap issue i was concerned about since i have a mini-split in the garage. i was so impressed with how airtight he got those doors! couldn't be happier with the doors and install. anyhow, i just wanted to tell you because good business is hard to come by these days and having skilled trades such as Brian is even more rare. thank you! erika sprabary

Horrible customer communication and took almost 2 months to complete their job after waiting 2 months for the door to arrive. Their sales rep is unfriendly and rude. Installers are unprofessional and left job site after only completing partial job multiple times. Manager is non responsive when escalated the situation. We will never do business with overhead doors again. Stay away.

These folks are life savers! We bought a new home from a builder in 2020 and this week a spring broke in the builder-grade garage door that came with the house. We couldn't even get it open manually, meaning our car was trapped inside and we were desperate for help. Overhead Door saved the day! The technician was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
He explained that these builder-installed door springs tend to break starting at around the 2 year mark and he converted our spring to and Overhead Door model, which gives us a three year warranty. We feel much better about having a quality product and a local company we can trust to make repairs when required. Thanks so much for fixing our door and giving us peace of mind.

I had a great experience with overhead door. The spring broke in my garage and I saw this company had great reviews on google. Not so much on Yelp though ouch! I contacted them via email for a quote they responded quickly with a quote and I was able to have a tech come out the next day. The tech came out in the timeframe they said they would and he confirmed the price that was given to me in the email.
He replaced the spring took him about 20 minutes and he was out just like that. My garage actually closes a bit quieter than it did before. I had a great experience with Overhead.

After one of our garage doors failed to open, Overhead Door sent Gary to inspect and he found one of the 26 year old springs had broken. He has been with the company for 24 years and certainly knows what he is doing - very friendly and professional. They did not have the necessary size of spring in stock because of the current supply chain problems and it took 3 weeks to find them. "Sunshine" in the front office became my best friend after her many attempts to find some springs and actually called my wife or me almost daily to keep us posted. The springs came in last Friday morning and were installed that afternoon. Great company and even better employees - very dedicated to their work!

Excellent experience. Called for service on a Friday, our tech (initials CB) was at our home as requested (and on time) the following Monday. CB did an excellent job servicing both garage doors and providing us with the new remotes we requested. He's also a great guy, a true asset to the Overhead Door company. Highly recommended.

Very efficient service. Gary was on time, and he diagnosed my problem and repaired it quickly. We were in a tight, because the car was trapped in the garage, and we could not get the garage door open due to a broken spring. Gary is honest and very skilled. He represents your company well and I will recommend Overhead Door Company!

Cody Feldman arrived early and did an excellent job installing 2 garage doors and their garage door openers. The was an issue of one door frame being built to long by home builder. Cody discussed with me and he had a solution for the problem. I definitely recommend Overhead Garage Door for garage door replacements or repairs. Technicians are very professional and friendly.

Three days ago one of my garage doors got off track and would not close. I was very concerned that this left me vulnerable to an intruder in the night. I called Overhead Door (which installed my doors 5 years ago) twice. No answer. I left voicemail messages on both occasions. No call back. I went to a competitor and got almost immediate service. Totally dissatisfied with Overhead Door's lack of responsiveness and will never use them again.

Had a new garage door installed in October. Ray G. (technician) was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. He explained the steps of replacing & installing the door thoroughly. He also advised what maintenance needs to be done to ensure the door's longevity. Ray G is a great asset with OD. I'm very happy with the quality of OD's products and especially the quality of service their employees provide. I know I will be a lifelong customer of OD and will continue to recommend their services & products to family, friends & acquaintances.

I Had my service visit set up to replace a broken spring in my garage. The window I was given was Monday 11am-1pm. Called the company at 12:53pm to find out if my technician was in route and was told he was leaving Denton in 10 minutes. Called back at 2:03pm when I hadn't heard from anyone and was told he was stuck in a garage and didn't have his cell phone on him.
We're all busy and I fully understand that. However, there was no effort to fix the problem. While on hold I set up service with another company who had already responded with a text about service and and eta on when the technician would arrive.

I should also replace the actuator arm for a complete installation $5,000 + They generously OFFERED a refund of the service call fee. OFFERED. not refunded. been about 5 months. contacted always an oversite. and will be forthcoming. DON'T expect any REPAIRS. just new installation. at best. If anyone as had a successful REPAIR of existing equipment please post.

Brand new home, in for a week, and have had nothing but trouble with my main 2-door garage door's ability to open, it looks like it's trying to twist itself off. The builder called them, and then they called me to make an appointment, made it for a Monday, which they canceled a few days later on late Friday afternoon since nobody would be in the area.
So I called a repair place to look at it on Saturday, and like another reviewer indicated, most materials were good but it was a bad install, biggest factor being they only used a.5 HP motor on a really heavy door which likely caused the rail's belt to slip, added to that was their missing or only partially hitting a stud which was causing the rail to twist, didn't use lock washers where needed, misaligned the bar that goes from door to the rail, and the perimeter seal wasn't flush with opening, so the railings are as far back as they can go but the door still hits up against them too tight.
My other one-car garage door was done correctly, wish that person had installed both. The repair guy fixed what he could, putting a steel backing where the rail meets the wall seems to have helped a lot, it's not twisting anymore, now left hoping this company or my builder/warranty makes the other things right. So much time wasted due to a bad install and trying to get away with using an underpowered motor.

1 out of the 3 garage door openers that came with my new home started acting up. It no longer connects to Wi-Fi so it no longer connects with the OHD app. There are 2 solid red LEDs that show that the Wi-Fi module in the garage door opener has failed. 3 techs from this location have come over to replace the Wi-Fi module and my problem has not been resolved.
First tech came in and had an incorrect part. He was given the wireless remote board which connects the switch, sensors and wireless remotes. His suggestion was to replace the garage door opener completely since he didn't know if they had the part in stock. So I called again to set up an appointment. Second tech came in and also had the incorrect board.
He was given the same wireless remote board and also suggested the entire garage door unit be replaced to not be playing the parts game. He said he would put "replacement unit needed" in his service ticket so the next tech could change it out completely. So I called again to set up an appointment. Third tech came in today and said he had the right part.
Even though I mentioned to him that's what the last 2 techs said. He was adamant and proceeded with the repair. He said everything was good to go and went on his way. I got to testing the unit and at first sight everything looked good. No solid red LEDs from the Wi-Fi module anywhere. He did however reprogram the remotes which was odd but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
I get to testing the Wi-Fi module and nothing happens, no beeps or blinking lights. I take apart the cover and the tech seems to have purposely disconnected the harness to the Wi-Fi module so no LEDs would remain on. I don't like being lied to and this type of service is not good business. I have been told multiple times that one thing will be done and an entire different thing happens. Why can't the unit be replaced and get this whole ordeal over with? This is a warranty claim and this has been a horrible experience.

I have been in my newly built HH for about 25-26 months and we have had not one, but TWO springs break on us within the past two years (single garage doors). I understand the warranty side of things with our builder, so this isn't on HH, but y'all, there's no realistic reason as to how springs could break. We were asked if we had pool supplies in our garage, but we definitely don't. Overhead Door Company failed to admit this was a fault on their part.
We had 3 different garage companies come out to tell us that it's nearly impossible for a spring to break because they're supposed to last up to 10 years! I hope you have a better experience with these guys.

Door quality was good. The installation was poor. Originally required a follow up due to sloppy installation. One year later the main bracket is hanging off because it was screwed into drywall only. Dangerous and hanging over my cars. Who would do that? They had to know when they screwed those into the wall there was nothing but drywall. Tried to call but couldn't get through. Fixed it myself and right this time!
Hard to believe. Updated on 9/24 - I have yet to receive a call back from Overhead Door despite leaving multiple messages. I spent over $2k on this door. Look at the quality of work their installers do. I would not have slammed them if they at least made an attempt to correct. But they elected to ignore their customer. Update: The owner did follow up with me and sent someone out to check my repairs and tighten things etc.

Tech showed up maskless, and unfortunately didn't address needs. Wifi went out on unit and tried to upsell me in a new motor and tune up for $916. Entire unit and door is 1.5 yrs new purchased from them. Was told door installed incorrectly and they did the installation. Would not recommend. Tech was nice but didn't get feeling he was empowered to make decisions.

This was probably one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever had contact with. I have a new construction home, and the garage door consistently has problems going down. My first call to them, I was belittled and told that my problem was "normal." Then, they made an appointment with me for a technician to come out--they never showed. The last straw was today when I spoke with them about the door again not going down.
He once again belittled me and told me that I "should read the owners manual." Upon transfer to a supervisor, I aired my grievances, only to be told that "the feeling is mutual." Meanwhile, I still have a brand new home with a crappy garage door. These guys were some of the biggest jerks I've ever dealt with. Steer clear.

We love these guys! After my new 10/14' door arrived damaged It was not a good starter. That said Mike Got involved solve the problem and made us happy. In fact we were happy enough to spend another few thousand putting in a gate opener upfront. We highly recommend these people. You get what you pay for and we realize that cheep isn't always good LOL If you have your choice of technicians Phil is the man he pays attention to detail ocd style. Just joking phill I'm glad you spent the time to go through everything with me. You workmanship stands out.

In desperate need of a new garage door, I price several companies but prices were more than I could afford and had to be ordered. I could not expect an installation for up to 4 weeks. I called Overhead Doors of Dallas - Residential and was given a price. I asked where they were located so I could see the door in advance and was given the address. My wife and I went and were quoted the same price.
The door was exactly what I was looking for. Furthermore, they could install within a week. We bought the door and two days later Santiago, the serviceman came and installed the door. He was efficient and fast. The door was everything I wanted and needed and then some.

I am in real estate property management and I use contractors for services all the time. I sometimes have to use Home Warranty service contractors and sometimes the results of the visit are not what you expect. This was not the case with OH Door of FW. Carter Pledger the service tech came out to service and make adjustments to an older garage door opener and door for a home I manage.
He spent well over an hour making adjustments, tweaking, lubricating and sweating to make sure the unit worked. I was there helping and watching him. Just as he cleaned up and finished paperwork we went back and he wanted to test the door again.the garage door opener failed. He then proceeded to contact the home warranty company to see what coverage my owner had.after several minutes on the phone it was approved to install a new garage door opener and Carter carefully and expediently installed the new unit.
A huge shout out to Carter as he was definitely the kind of employee and service tech that help make this company look good to everyone! I would definitely use this company again!
