I purchased a one gallon can of Lambert Superseal from Florida Landscape Borders after they installed borders army home in November 2018. We were told to reapply the sealant annually. We stored the can in our garage on top of a wherein Williams can of paint. February 23,2020 we noticed a strong chemical odor in our garage. We found that the one gallon Lambert sealant can had pin hole leaks and was leaking onto the paint can.
I called the landscaper who had sold it to me. They told me to go to hardware store and purchase a bucket to store it in. I then called Lambert and was told that the one gallon can had a one year shelf life. The sealant needs to be stored in a stronger five gallon container. The can does not mention a shelf life. I asked them about buying another bucket to store it in.
They told me that the sealant would just eat thru it too. So bottom line is no one is responsible for the problem. We will just reapply the product that used just 10 days ago. This is to get rid of the product that I cannot store. I called the landscape company back and told them what Lambert had told me. They advised that they had no knowledge of the situation. I would never buy another Lambert product. They could not have cared less.
