I live in the neighborhood a few blocks away from the store. My master bathroom has a huge heavy glass swinging door, that I could see (with my Senior Citizen Eyes) that the door wasn't hanging straight, and was beginning to scrape the wall when swinging it open and shut. I stopped by the store to see if they could refer me to someone who could fix this.
The staff on hand was discussing where they might refer me, when the OWNER of Northbay, on his way out for the weekend, heard our discussion. He hopped in his car, came to my house, and personally fixed that door! And refused to take any fee for it. I did get a little scolding (".if that door falls down, it'll kill you!"). To say I was grateful would be an understatement!
It was like family taking care of family. Unheard of these days, and I never forgot it. Fast forward a few years, the door began to "sag" again, and I remembered my Safety Scolding. Still not knowing who I might call to fix it, I called Northbay again --- and as my good luck would have it, that same guy (the owner) hopped back into his car, came to my house, fixed the door, and again, would accept no fee for his expertise and work.
Though I haven't yet engaged Northbay to do construction work in my home, you can bet your bottom dollar I wouldn't call anyone else in town! I want everyone to know that the head of this company demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, kindness, and integrity --- a guy running a company that you WANT working on your projects. He fixed me up not once, but twice.
This kind of leadership will ALWAYS filter throughout an organization. Enough so that that I (a retired business executive) will unequivocally commend this company and tell everyone who will listen: This is an organization you should do business with!

Where do I begin? We came in to the showroom 12/2021 to order window coverings for our brand new build (which was going to be ready in March). The sales rep who helped us left the company, but no one told us. I followed up a couple weeks later and was told Catherine, who specializes in window coverings, will reach out. I have several emails from January on asking about follow up, measurements, etc but it was always me emailing her.
She works part time and would always email at like 4:50 pm on and then leave an away message, so reaching her for one response would takes a few days and sometimes a week. Long story short, we had final formal measurements in mid Feb, but for some reason she placed orders March 11th, and even tho our build got pushed back a bit and we ended up moving in 4/2, we've been without window coverings for almost one month.
I called and spoke with her several times and she always assured me all would be ready before move in, but obviously that was not the case. She kept sending me emails trying to sugar cost the situation (COVID19 this and that) and finally I got fed up and told her I did not want to work with her and asked to work with another rep. They kept telling me the materials would be ready 'end of April' with no actual date given.
Mind you our master faces the East so every morning we'd be awakened at dawn with a bright light in our eyes, and there was no privacy in bathrooms or the bedrooms to change. I finally called today to speak with Dave because I felt that as the owner, he should know how his clients were mistreated and given the run around. Was told he was on a call and would call me back. 30 min later I get a call from their installer stating he's ready to come out tomorrow and that the materials had been ready for a few days, but NO ONE reached out to me to tell me, even tho the balance was paid in February.
I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone. They do not follow up, act like they are doing you a favor simply by answering emails, and need to be micromanaged to get anything done. I'm so disappointed that he just didn't pick up the phone to apologize for his teams shortcomings. I planned everything with plenty of time accounting for COVID19 delays. Catherine dropped the ball majorly. Horrible customer support and lack of follow Thru.

For more than 17 years, WarmlyYours has been the radiant product supplier for Northbay Kitchen & Bath. They have successfully installed many electric radiant heated tile floors and electric heated towel warmers. They have a great team and are extremely knowledgeable. Northbay Kitchen & Bath personnel are always easy to work with. They provide us with detailed floor plans, we can design the perfect fit for the radiant heat installation plan.

Dave, (the owner?) is impossible to deal with, it took two years to resolve an improper installation of a fixture. They never resolved unsatisfactory installation of undercount sink (askew). They mis-measured one counter and had to re-do. Tile work contractor, on the other hand, was excellent. There are better and more reasonably priced alternatives

Northbay kitchen and Bath is one of the best places around to find what you need when you do when you need to do a bath remodel when we walked into the store I got some great ideas and I change my mind about our design after I found out that beautiful shower I fell in love with as well as a vanity that I have been looking for for sometime. Christina Casazza helped us tremendously in the process and we ended up with our the bathroom of our dreams

We lost our home in the 2017 Sonoma County Wildfires. We decided to rebuild. Although we found a contractor we were totally lost as to how to proceed and where to go for all of our interior needs from floors, to cabinets to lighting. Our contractor was of no help. He kept referring us to places like Lowes and Home Depot. They were of no help to people like us who were totally ignorant regarding interior design.
In fact I had a stress related heart attack. Then we found NorthBay Kitchen and Bath in Petaluma. They saved us. Catherine and Dave have gone above and beyond to provide us with outstanding customer service, high quality products and timely service. Their floor, cabinet and tile installers have done a more than perfect job. We are building a home worth close to 2 million dollars---North Bays products and labor are certainly of a quality befitting a high end home. I am quite befuddled by the negative reviews on this site. We have never been more please with a product or service than we have with North Bay! Lynn O

I wish there was an option for ZERO stars but unfortunately there isn't! Do not waste your money or time with these people. They by far have THE WORST customer service I have ever encountered. They took my $$$ back in October 2018 and I still have not received my complete vanity.they have ridiculous excuses, don't return calls or emails for weeks on end and have refused to compensate me or refund any of my money. Plain and simple DO NOT USE them for anything!

If the facade and landscaping of this business are any indication of their design sensibilities, I would never consider using them. They are in the design business and yet their storefront is a total eye sore, which is overrun by weeds, and has negative curb appeal. So much for a good first impression.

This was a very interesting exercise in getting a walk-in shower to replace my bathtub and to tile the floor of the bathroom. The estimate was for $17,890.00 for labor and $6,487.93 in materials, a total of $24,377.93 before tax and before any problems uncovered in construction. Home Adviser says the average cost to remodel a WHOLE BATHROOM IN Santa Rosa is $14,972 with a typical range of $10,612 - $22,722.
I was required to pay a non-refundable $200 up front for "design, " then measure my bathroom and submit the measurements along with answers to a list of questions. I'd expect the contractor to do this and it turns out they do. I did all the work, paid $200 for design, and got a bid that was clearly designed to make me go away. A contractor friend said he sometimes bids high when he's busy, "but this is ridiculous." Looks to me like NorthBay has a way to make some money from people they have no intention of doing business with. Add the bad attitude of the owner noted elsewhere in these reviews, and I'd say to avoid them.

Confirming what others have said about trying to get an estimate. Doesn't happen. Incredibly friendly and helpful in the store but then there's no follow-up. Asked for an estimate, 2 weeks later still don't have it and I don't expect to get it based on what others have written. Moved on to working with another group.

We simply could not have completed our largest home renovation to date without the exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and attention of the staff at NorthBay Kitchens & Bath! After outliving its late-80s "new construction" style, our master bathroom was sorely in need of a down-to-the-studs remodel. There is a dizzying number of options and considerations when designing a bathroom from scratch, and it was our good fortune to meet Catherine V, their (one of their?) on-site design consultant on our initial visit.
We chatted a bit and decided a design consultation was in order. This is a paid service, and is worth every penny as we had to coordinate our purchasing of fixtures with construction, which was handled by our own contractor. On our second visit (by appointment), armed with current images of our house and inspiration pictures from online research, Catherine got a quick sense of our style & tastes and we set another appointment for 2 weeks later, at which Catherine had a complete design layout presented on one of their front tables.
From there, we had many conversations about even the smallest details and options; Catherine's product knowledge is extensive and she quickly hones in on what a client needs to complement an existing design. After the design phase, we dealt mostly with office manager extraordinaire, Kristina C! Kristina oversaw every aspect of the process as it related to vendors, delivery, billing, and pickup. NorthBay stores all the items in their warehouse as they typically arrive at different times, and when it comes time for pickup, their warehouse staff is helpful, attentive, and treats the items with care as they assist you or your contractor with whatever you need to load and secure your items. Kristina is exceptionally thorough; she discovered and rectified a vendor error with our tile, keeping the tile available on the promised timeline, which is vitally important since bathroom renovations consist of dozens of tasks that require completion in sequence to avoid major delays or wasted time.
When we needed extra tile, an email was all it took, and Kristina had it ordered and set for delivery ASAP with no surcharge for expedited shipping. Add to that, a complementary piece of bullnose tile that broke (our fault), and we couldn't have asked for better treatment! In a project of this magnitude, there are often oversights and design revisions necessary; NorthBay takes this in stride, offering to exchange items or accept returns with no hassle whatsoever.
I could go on and on about NorthBay, but you get the point! For us, NorthBay was a refreshing respite from the retail hassle, and offers the serious remodeler the top-end finishes and personal service appropriate to purchases of this magnitude. Thanks again, NorthBay; maybe 5 starts isn't enough!

I walked in with a bathroom remodel in mind and NOBODY said hello, nobody asked if I needed help. I saw some sales folks helping other people but nobody would make eye contact. I am used to shopping at local places such as Robindra and Rex Ace Hardware where they greet me warmly. No such luck at this place. I give one star as they have a really nice selection of goods "if" you can get anyone to acknowledge you. I won't be back in any case.

AWFUL. We worked with Dave, the owner, to order cabinets for a kitchen we are remodeling. He was really nice at first, helpful, responsive, a little evasive when asked to breakdown costs, but it was workable and he seemed trustworthy. As soon as we placed the order, he became impossible to reach, never returned calls, texts, did not deliver on renderings he had promised until pressured, and even then, it was like he was doing us a favor. 1.5 months in, I find that he made changes from my architectural drawing without my consent, the cabinets are going to be delivered at least 1 month after the date he initially gave.
He never notified us of changes to the timeframe. He always has excuses as to why he does not respond, laryngitis, he's at the top of a hill with no reception, he's at the bottom of a hill with no reception. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN WITH YOUR MONEY. Paul at Novato Kitchen and Bath seems like a very good alternative to Northbay for the same products, but I'm sure better service. I am consulting with a lawyer and am disputing the charge on my credit card as I write this.

My experience with NorthBay Kitchens & Bath was not pleasant. I paid to have a design and estimate for a home remodel and Dave would never give me any idea of where it was going or a ballpark until the design was done. In spite of constant reminders that I did not want to build a mansion, his quote was outrageous, the design was incomplete as was the list of selected materials. He basically took the square feet and multiplied by $300 cost per square foot. I can build a new house for less than that. Thanks for nothing!

I had an excellent experience using Northbay Kitchens & Bath. I especially appreciated working with Bianca. Her attention to detail and knowledge of just how to make a kitchen the most efficient was such a help as I narrowed down my wish list to fit (somewhat) the budget I set out for myself. I feel that the quality of the cabinets I purchased was very good (I purchased within the mid-range Columbia line) and the installation crew was excellent. I would recommend Northbay Kitchens & Bath for any size kitchen and/or bath renovation. I plan on using them again when we tackle our bath next year.

Thoroughly disappointed!. I prefer to spend my money in the city I live, rather then going to the big box stores. Once a deposit was collected, followup with the owner was awful. The owner is very rude and his attitude changed dramatically once he collected some money with a "I could care less" attitude. My mother in law was left in tears after dealing with the owner, Dave, and the original estimate had tripled by the end of the job. Please use caution.

I don't normally write reviews, but I'm renovating my first home, and the experiences along the way make me feel compelled to share! These guys were amazing! I shopped around a lot for pricing (online and brick and mortar) so when I came to Northbay kitchen, I was prepared. KRISTINA really knows what she's doing, and helped me work around my budget.
The price differences between the other stores and here for the same product were competitive. They also are open to meeting a price you saw elsewhere! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STORE and specifically KRISTINA. She spent hours working with me on a late afternoon, despite being a walk in. (I didn't have an appointment) the atmosphere was friendly, and they had all the brands I was looking for!

Terrible customer service and terrible craftsmanship. They showed up at our house after Mis-measuring our countertops and still had the nerve to ask us if we had plywood to do the job. They never told us that we would have to supply it but luckily we had some scraps of plywood lying around that they used to fill in the gaps where they had missed measured.

So happy to have this excellent showroom in our town. It's loaded with gorgeous items to choose from. From mid range to high end, they have it all. I love this place. I am a designer and I find David the owner and his staff to be warm, friendly and extremely helpful. I'm thankful that they are so conveniently located and always willing to help. www.lisaloughmaninteriors.com
