Started in 1946, Raymond G. Sands began his glass business in a refurbished gas station. The business grew steadily over the years and in 1983, Ray Sands sold the thriving glass business to Frank and David Burns. Natives to Rochester, the Burns continued to build the business based on Sands' original principles of integrity, exceptional customer service, and community.
As summer ends, we look forward to all the things we love about the Fall. The colors of the changing leaves, the kids heading back to school. Football and bonfires! But, in this part of the country, you can't help thinking about the approaching cold weather. For some of us, that includes huge heating bills!

This is the second time in less than 7 years I've used Raysands. Once for an old vehicle that I no longer have for a back window replacement and the other a side window replacement.they came right to my home and are always quick and courteous. I appreciate their fast and friendly service. I remembered what a great job they did before and when I had a window shatter I knew who I wanted to use.

I went to the Chili Ave location even though my insurance recommended a "national chain". I like to keep business local. They are less than 2 miles from my house. Brandi was amazing as CSR and Brad & Scott did a nice clean job in the replacement. Also paid extra for the rain defense application. Great job by all! Service: Auto windshield replacement

Went to Ray Sands on a Thursday with my Audi and a very broken windshield. The girls at the reception desk were very friendly and completed the ordering and insurance communications in minutes. The next Monday the new windshield arrived and Thursday (1 week) new windshield is in and beautiful. They did a perfect job, reg. and insp. stickers there like it never happened, and the lane assist and adaptive cruise was all calibrated!
What a wonderful business! Please support your local professionals. Ray Sands is the best, all my friends use them and not one complaint. The big chain glass shops are "wham bam, thank you" and who are you supporting? Go LOCAL! It's the right (best) thing to do. Barry T 5/5/2022

We have a chip in our windshield and stopped by to see if the chip could be repaired. The girl at the desk was very kind and came out and looked at our vehicle and told us the chip was too close to the edge of the windshield and could not be repaired. We appreciate her taking the time to let us know.

After Safelite dropped the ball twice on ordering my new windshield, I used the ray sands website to enter my contact info around 9pm at night. Got a call the next day by 9am, and scheduled for 6 days later. Dropped truck off in the morning and got a call 1 hour after my appointment time saying truck was done. Customer service was great, and windshield is perfect. Will definitely use again, hopefully I wont need to though.

I had a NYS inspection appointment and the day before I got two chips in my windshield. I filed a claim through my insurance company and Ray Sands called me the next morning. Not only were they able to squeeze me in for a repair, but they were even able to drop me off at work about a minute down the road. They went above and beyond and made the whole process so easy. Highly Recommend!

Ray Sands is the BEST! i had them replace a broken window on my pickup truck 27 years ago & i was extremely satisfied with their workmanship. This why i came back to them because they are GREAT. My car had several chips all over the windshield. Took it over to Ray Sands & asked them what they thought. I only knew about the one chip & the tech looked at the whole windshield & pointed out the other chips & explained to me what could happen if left unfixed.
They called my insurance company to put in a claim. They did all the paperwork for me which is great for me. They had it done in no time. There's coffee & tv to watch while your waiting, nice. When the car was done the tech explained everything i needed to know & he answered all my questions that i had for him. If you need to go have your glass fixed i highly recommend this place. they are very polite, professional at what they do.
They won't steer you in the wrong direction. They always stand behind their work. They treat you like family, this is why i came back. my insurance wanted me to go to safelite & i said no, i'm going to where i know it will be done right the first time (Ray Sands). Thank you so much Ray Sands. A VERY HAPPY SATISFIED CUSTOMER! Candy.

Ray Sands Glass was phenomenal to work with on my windshield replacement. They were able to come do the replacement in the parking lot where I work so I did not have to take time off or find a ride to work. They completed did a quality job with great attention to detail. When Ray Sands showed up, I was wrapping up a meeting. They were understanding of my work schedule and waited patiently until I was able to meet them at my car in the parking lot.
They explained the work they would be doing and took it from there. Ray Sands also took care of the insurance claim on my behalf so there was no hassle. I highly recommend Ray Sands to anyone who needs glass work done on their auto.
