Arrogant staff and doesn't treat people with respect. Simple questions asked of the gentleman working and he became irate. Needs some proper training in dealing with people of the public, ie, customers, well, former.

I left a belt sander (6/8/16) with " Thomas Fastening Systems " to be repaired and requested an estimate. A couple of weeks later I received a call with an estimate, and I related that the estimate was acceptable and to proceed with the repair. A couple of more weeks later I received a message stating that it was the fifth time they called and would not try again which was the first message.

I called again and explained that I had already approved the repair and the representative was very rude and very rudely asked with whom I left the message, and of course I did not ask for a name nor anticipate any further problem. I needed the sander and a couple of weeks later, I called and asked the status of the repair, and again the representative was rude and said they would call me when it was ready.

This morning (7/28/16) I received a phone message that the sander was ready, and when I returned the call, again the representative was rude and said that it has been sitting there waiting for me to pick up. Within two hours, I picked up the sander, paid for the repairs and asked to speak with the owner; however, he was not there at the time of pickup.

I called near the end of the business day and spoke with a person who identified himself as Tom. I thought I could offer a friendly and helpful suggestion on the breakdown in communication; however, the person identified himself as, "Tom" on the telephone was immediately extremely loud, boisterous and extremely rude even before I could even fully explain my situation.

He loudly and rudely said the problem was on my end, and stated, "Check your answering machine." I receive telephone messages every day with no problem. He said, "I am not making any money when tools are just sitting in the shop" which may have been his real problem. I was working on a project and I was delayed for 7 weeks waiting on a sander repair. That was the first and last time I will do business with Thomas Fastening Systems.

Nice local place for hardware/tools etc. call your order in and it's ready and waiting for you when you get there. If they don't have it, they can get it quickly.
