Overisel is a small farming community south and east of Holland, Michigan.* In 1925, Overisel Lumber and Feed was formed. In 1960, Gord Zuiverink and current family-owner El Slenk purchased the lumberyard part of the business, and moved it to the growing town of Holland. We are sentimental about our heritage, but we also keep the name for good, solid business reasons.

Overisel Lumber Company has been bringing quality building materials to families along Michigan's lakeshore since television was invented back in 1925. In 1925, Overisel Feed and Lumber Co. was founded by John Voorhorst in Overisel, Michigan, which is a small community about four miles south west of Holland.

We ordered our new windows and entry door from Overisel even thou they were an hour from our new home. Byron, their Fenestration Specialist, has been a true professional from start to finish. His years of experience was evident during the design and ordering process and he was right there to help resolve problems we had with the manufacture after the windows arrived. Thank you Byron!

I was building a heli-hat for an Inspector Gadget costume and was starting with a really rough idea. Lee helped me figure out everything i needed and gave me some great tips that saved me a ton of time! I was really surprised that it all came to less then $20. People are still coming up to me telling me how awesome that was. Thanks Overisel for making this halloween the best yet, I'll be back for help next year!

I've gone here a few times to get different supplies and the last time I went was the best! I needed to have a key made that was giving me trouble at other locations. I went to Home Depot (where they made a key that was obviously WAY too long without a second thought.) and was sorely disappointed. When I asked the guys here if they could help they were excellent!
I love small-town charm! They even let me take the key to the door, a full 15 min drive away, to try before paying for anything. That's right folks, I left with merchandise without paying a cent. I didn't even leave my name. that's how trustworthy these guys are. The key was a PERFECT fit. got three more and I know i'll go back to these guys before I hit another "big box" retailer for my specialty needs!
